Legacy Cove - Week Nine - Archer House - Heirs & Spares!

Time to start up week nine at the Cove.  Back to the Archer household, where we left off with Antoinette knocked up.  Zachariah was working on his robotics, Zane stays off in la-la land, and Amaris called to check in on her other children every day.  Sometimes two or three times a day.  Leave the kids alone!

I had also noted that Polly had been conspicuously absent lately, so guess who showed up early in the week?  Mmhmmm....

We also had a few other visitors who have not been around much lately.  Toots Savoy stopped by, and we also had Kate Gypsy come by to show off her new outfit and hair cut.  Come on in, ladies!!

Zach finally got a bronze badge at robotics so he's making hydrobots.  I meant to give Cassie one when she stopped by one day but forgot.  Drat!  Since she's a nature hobbyist, I thought it would definitely come in handy for her if she ever lands a full-time gig in this neighborhood again.

Remember Amaris getting the bedroom redecorated for her birthday and I said I'd get Zane a grill or something?  I finally got around to doing that, on the day I had him meet his second lifetime want of a Golden Anniversary.  Isn't it a beauty!

Zane and Amaris invited over the family and a few other friends to celebrate the anniversary shindig.  Ahem.... Lisa... Polly.... No, it's not suspicious AT ALL that you showed up together like this.

They had a great evening of grilling food and playing kicky bag in the living room.   And the party ended before the score glitched and rolled over.  Hooray!  Good times for all!

Zachariah and Antoinette's mission for the house is to work on the outdoors so I had them install street lights out front for starters.  Unfortunately... Zane and Zach both checked out the lights and hated them.  There's no pleasing some people!!!

Later that night after the party and disappointment over the street lights, Antoinette went into labor.  HALLELUJAH, GENERATION THREE IS HERE!   I have both a boy and girl name picked out and I'm excited.  HIT ME!

Do you see me laughing?  I'm totally not.  Dammit!  Twins!  Well, got the heir and the spare in one go, so I guess this can work.  First one out is a boy.   Presenting Zack Archer!

Next one out the gate is a girl, who I'm naming Zoey as a weird twist on Antoinette's name.  Both kids are blonde with regular green eyes.  Boooo!

Where's the custom green eyes!  Aren't those and Antoinette's brown eyes dominate genes?  How the heck we get recessive green?  Ugh.  Amaris has green eyes, so I guess Zack passed them on.  Antoinette's parents in the old 'hood had brown eyes (mom) and blue eyes (dad).

At least Amaris gets to pass on something into this family.   ... But the custom eyes!!  *cries real tears*   Okay, maybe not real tears but there's an image of me in my head crying tears.

Back to the situation at hand.  There's entirely too many people in this bathroom.  We've got three adults and two infants.  CLEAR THE ROOM PEOPLE!

As it turns out... two babies is a lot of work.  I really struggled taking care of these two.  The adult sims in the house are enough work on their own!  And I tried to bring over Zamaris and Zayna but they aren't the dream aunts I hoped they would be.  Grrr!

There were some nice, heart-warming moments though.  Amaris tried to help take care of the babies since she was off work the first few days.  But two babies and three big babies is a tall work order!  This is almost a tender picture, but the diaper stink kinda ruins it.

I mean, Antoinette wouldn't even feed herself.  I quit telling the sims in the house to go eat.  Just to see how long it would take them to realize they were hungry and there was food waiting in the kitchen for them.  Tick tock, tick tock.

So when Grim showed up, I was irritated.  Stupid Antoinette!  Your hunger is so far in the red, you are dying!  I tried to have Zack click on Grim to plead for her life.

But... but... it wasn't Antoinette that Grim had come for.  Holy crap, I thought Amaris still had time!  No, Grim!  THINK OF THE BABIES!   Crap!  CRAP!  Suddenly I was thankful that I did the Golden Anniversary when I did!  And at least she got to see her grandbabies... even if it was just for a day... CRAP!

Now I have three needy adults in the house and 2 infants.  They tried to carry on after Amaris's death but let me tell you, I do not recall struggling with raising twins as I did in this week.  Wowzers.  I kept trying to bring the aunts over but they weren't really any help.  What with Zayna breaking the computer and Zane having to lecture her... sigh.  You girls are just creating more work!  Stop that!

They tried to help out.  Bless their hearts.  Bless ALL of their hearts!  But this family is seriously unequipped to have these two helpless bundles of joy!  All they knew how to do was to feed them endless bottles and there was never-ending bath times.

And I swear to Wright, Zayna, if you drop that baby down the stairs... Why are you just standing there!  Whooosaaaah!  I was so stressed out trying to keep everyone happy and safe!

We needed help.  I thought about calling in a nanny but that didn't seem to be the smartest thing.  I took a look around the house and tried to decide what could be done to help these poor sims.

Mmmhmm.  I think I have an idea of just what hero we need to call.  Zack!  To the phone!

"Yes, we need help.  A lot of help.  Send us your best.  We have money!  We'll pay top dollar!"

Mr. Tyson McMillian is the best they have.  I had my suspicions when he stepped out of the maid van but he's helping keep the house in order.  No more having to influence all of their friends and family to help clean!  Now if only Mister Tyson would help bathe the dogs... they are perpetually stinky.

They are down to just three dogs now.  After loosing Astro last week, that brought us down from five schnoodles.  Then Zamaris took home Agnesi early this week.  Now dear little Anabelle is hitting her silver years.  Poor lil' schnoodle mama.

Next week when the twins grow up to kids, I'll send someone to the pet store to pick out a new mate for Artemis.  Probably Antoinette, and I'll let the kids share a pup.  The household has been flirting with puppy wants since Amaris's death, so I'm sure we can get some more rolled up and locked.  Do schnoodles have to be white?  Can they be any color?  I need to do some research on schnoodles.

Finally, Friday arrived.  It's the twins' birthday today.  Oh boy, I just can't wait for these kids to be toddlers.  Ugh.  Wait... what's going on in here!?   No fighting in the kids' room!  I don't know who started this, Zayna or Teressa, but you girls better behave yourselves.

Okay.  So we can't even pull off the birthday thing right.  We couldn't get Zack to the cake in time so he just got tossed.  Two feet away from the cake.  Whatever, maybe we can still get Zoey there and have a decent picture for the album.

Yay!  Zamaris even brought Zack over to the cake which made for a sweet little picture.  By the way... is Zack and Zoey some kind of Disney show?  It sounds like it might be.  Please tell me I didn't name my generation 3 babies after a teeny bopper show!

Man, what is this!?  MORE FIGHTING?  Teressa, what gives?  Two arguments in one day?  Though... this fight was inevitable.  Carissa Pepper vs Teressa Bowcrafter.  The day was coming.  But it didn't have to happen at the legacy house birthday bash!  OMG.  Sims these days!

Meanwhile... in other parts of the house.... How many aunts does it take to bathe one toddler?  What is with these guys piling up in the bathrooms this week?

It took me the rest of the night to get all of these extra hands OFF my babies, and get Zachariah and Antoinette to get them dressed and new hair cuts.  But ta-da!!  By morning, we had succeeded!

It took most of Saturday to get everyone in the house happy and greened up again.  We got the toddler skilling underway and by Sunday, things were looking like a normal family again, with Antoinette cooking breakfast and Zachariah fixing the garbage disposal alongside her.

Look how clean it is in there now!  Bless you, Mister Tyson!  With the house all spiffy, we had the rest of the family over and didn't have to make them clean for us.  It was a lovely fall day and they finished up the week with some kicky bag.  Yay, happy memories being made!

I've really never been so happy to end a week at one of my houses.  We had babies being born and a death.  Birthdays and chaos.  Time to head over to Zamaris's new house-in-the-making and see what's cooking over there.

Oh, but before we go... Julie Jaz got her makeover, too!  Whaddya think?

     JUST KIDDING, JULIE!

I know she told me when I asked about tips for her makeover that she said she has shoulder-length hair, but I saw that hat... and it matched... and you know, Julie does a lot of crochet and knitting.  It was meant to be!  Ta-da!

Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to do some googling on schnoodle dogs and their breeding.  Then I'll scoot on over to Zamaris's new lot and please Wright, let her have single babies and let them be easy!

TS2 - Legacy Cove - Week Eight - On Campus

TS2

Legacy Cove - Week Eight - On Campus

Not going to lie, I kind of rushed through the two semesters of uni.  I had enough wedding picture spam from my last update, so let's jailbreak Amaris and get back to the generation three baby-making!!

But first...Did you know... that with all the flirting and stalking that Trevor and Zayna did, those little rascals never actually kissed?  Trevor had a hot "first kiss" want waiting for me when I loaded up their college house.  Let's just get that one taken care of right off the bat.

You are so welcome, Trevor!  What a sweet kid.  Oh, but wait.  Let me tell you what Mr Family Sim's lifetime want is.  Yeah, that's right.  He's a family sim.  HE WANTS TO MARRY OFF 6 CHILDREN.  ARE YOU KIDDING ME?  First Zamaris, now Trevor?  The sisters need to switch husbands, but Rob Panda is a family sim as well and I haven't yet taken a peek at his LTW either.  Uuughhh I feel a population explosion coming on.

Back to the here and now, I tried to speed through the next few days but then I learned something new.  Today I learned that the train table can catch on fire.  That's right, it can catch on FIRE.

Did anyone else know this?  I mean... I NEVER!!! And ZAMARIS!  OMFG!  Thank WRIGHT I had a smoke alarm in the kitchen and an open floorplan through the whole first floor.  Because Trevor was pretty unhelpful when I tried to have him put out the fire.  Really, it's a good thing he's so dang sweet on Zayna or I'd punch him right in the kitten.

Thank you, Mr Fireman, THANK YOU!  And has anyone ever told you that you look just like Mitch Lawsom?  Eh, I've seen his babies though.  You are on the "Maybe you can marry one of my sims" list... I'll think about it.  He does get points for saving Zamaris.  She lived!  I am so happy!!

After Mr Fireman left, Trevor made a point of operating the train table to make sure it was indeed safe.  What a good brother-in-law.  He had never touched it before and he didn't touch it again after this.

Their days passed fairly uneventfully after that.  Lots of fast-forwarding as they played chess, read books, did their college assignments, and I usually teleported in the other family members & Rob Panda to help pass the time.

This family has insatiable wants to call certain other family members.  Zayna seems to be immune to it.  But almost every day upon waking or returning from class, Zamaris and Trevor roll up wants to call Zachariah.  Back in the main house, Zane and Amaris constantly wanted to call Zach or Zamaris at school.   Never wanted to call Zayna though now that I think about it.  Intriguging.

Speaking of Zach, he and Antoinette never make me doubt their relationship.  He still seems totally smitten by my sweet Antoinette.  If this is Zach in a two-bolt relationship, I'm kinda glad I didn't find him a three-bolter!

Also... turns out that Cassie's boyfriend is the university streaker.  Have I confessed this to you guys yet?  Thanks for shaking your wang around the old folks, Brandon.  DAMMIT, do NOT turn around, Zane!

Zayna finally decided she wanted to write a term paper, like the good knowledge sim that she is.  So of course, Trevor wanted to write one too.  He didn't find it as exciting though.  It was good for his grades though.  he's doing okay but not great.  Not failing but not straight A's either.

I'm not sure what we are going to do about repairs now that our tinkerer is about to graduate!   I guess influence her or Zach to fix things or, Wright forbid, actually call the repair woman!  Trevor struggles a bit to just unclog the toilets in the boys bathrooms.  Maybe Zamaris should leave her screwdriver behind... I'm pretty sure Trevor doesn't have one of his own.

Then FINALLY.... *CONFETTI*!!!!!!  Zamaris graduates with a 3.8 GPA.  Confession.  With all the 2nd speed playing I did, I didn't watch her grades very closely one semester and she went off to her final exams with her grade meter below the halfway point.  I sweated the whole time she was gone but she magically pulled a B out of that test.  WHEW

So you know what this means right?  Back to the main hood for BABIES!!!   LOTS OF BABIES!!   I'll have two houses to play now in Legacy Cove as Zamaris will be building her own house and starting up her own family.  Start suggesting some "Y-" names for her!

TO THE COVE!

TS2 - Legacy Cove - Week Eight - Archer House

Legacy Cove - Week Eight - Archer House

I think we all know what's going to happen in this update.  As if I didn't even just give it away with this title picture.  It wasn't a quick process though.

First I had to get Zachariah and Antoinette settled into the house.  They are fresh off the graduation party train so they had to get moved in and their make-overs complete before we did anything else.  Antoinette's outfit in particular looked pretty hideous but she's looking smashing again now, yes?

Then I peeked outside and .... what the... All I can say is, "That's our Deb!"   Mental note:  Invite Deb over more often.  Like.. everyday.  This house still hasn't hired a maid.

So Deb cleaning the doggy pee puddles under the snow is a good thing.  The first burglar making her appearance is a bad thing.  Add the burglar and the cop to the "Ain't going to marry my babies" list.  Seriously.  What is with this neighborhood and the oogly NPCs??   Sigh.  I'm going to have to import Firefighter Joe Yang from the old hood over but I don't know how to make him an actual NPC!  Grr!

Poor Zayna didn't get to escape the house for uni before the stupid burglar biddy showed up.  So now whenever I pop her, Zamaris, and their boy toys over for a visit, she stands around seething about the stupid burglar biddy.  Oh, but yeah, Zayna is off to college!  *wipes tear*  All the babies are all grown up!!

Zachariah, being a romancer, struts around.  A lot.  "Think I'll go kiss my girlfriend."  Strut.  "Think I'll go hold my girlfriend's hand."  Strut.  It's a good thing he really is cute.

Then... I noticed one day that he didn't have a fear to get engaged.  Antoinette has had a locked want to get engaged since the first semester of college.  That's good enough for me!  Let's roll!

I pop the other kids and their boyfriends in to celebrate and... no sooner than Zayna and Trevor load up than they are instantly back in love.  These kids!!  Zamaris and Rob Panda stalk each other like crazy too.  All these love birds are just making me sick!

Okay, while there's no fears about getting married... and Zane & Amaris both have wants for a relative to get married... we gotta do this.  The season turned to spring and we set up the backyard for the wedding Amaris never got herself.  A few snowflakes fell and made me sweat a bit thinking that I'd have to move the wedding inside but the clear skies won out.  PHEW!  So... here's the wedding picture spam.

Here's some pictures of the guests.  Because how often do you get to see all of these guys cleaned up in their formal wear?  Well, twice more this generation because Zamaris and Zayna will probably have decent weddings too.  But anyway!!!   PICTURES!

A few sims I had to manually take control over and have them change into their formal-wear.  Because... they couldn't attend the ceremony due to the extended lecturing of the newspaper thief.  This.... this is why we can't have nice things, guys.  Get it together!  There's a wedding ceremony out back!

Also, we can't have nice things because the bride, the darling Antoinette, left her bash to go to her first day of work.  She wants to be a World Class Ballerina and when I saw a job in the Dance line of work that morning I stupidly made her take the job instead of waiting until later to accept.

Do you see all this lovey-dovey crap I have to put up with?  As soon as I teleport the kids in, there they go.  But it's no wonder, seeing who their role models are.  THEY ARE IN THE BATHROOM!  SERENADING!  GTFO!

Where there's a wedding, there's also a funeral close by...  I thought Astro would make it through the end of the week but I heard the dogs howling and.... no... NO!!!!!!!  The alpha-schnoodle was dog-napped by Grim!!  YOU BASTARD!!

With the loss of Astro, I made Zach finally pick one of the pups to make his own.  Andromeda has already been claimed by Zayna but Aristotle and Agnesi both were up for grabs.  After consulting the current relationship panels, I had Zach select Aristotle.

While Antoinette was skilling for her next job promotion, I had Zach working on his new robot crafting station (which makes him just ooze tinkering happiness) and training Aristotle to come.  He even made me proud by rolling up the want to be the master and succeeded.

Lisa finally walked by the house and we greeted her.  What took you so long, Lisa?  Take a wrong turn by Albuquerque?  Get confused by which house is theirs?  There's only one house still in this 'hood!  Sheesh!  I award you no points.

I am struggling on having the rest of the family be-friend Trevor.  Well, most of the family.  While Trevor likes Zayna (and the schnoodles), he doesn't seem to care to get to know the rest of the crew.  What a jerk.  A cute, shy jerk.  A cute, shy jerk that loves dogs.   Sigh.  Fine.  He's not a jerk.  He's a recluse that lives only for Zayna.

Since this is a legacy, there's a job that needs to be accomplished here.  So before the week was up, I thought I better have Zach and Antoinette get a jump start on Zamaris and Rob.  Zamaris still has another turn at college to go but if she thinks she's going to have six babies when she's in her own home then she'll be getting down to business pretty quick.

Turns out these two are little fertile myrtles!  Only took one time!   Heh heh heh.  Say it with me now, "YAY!  BABIES COMING!"   There better be a boy involved, I don't want to try for too many kids if Zamaris is having a litter.  As Zach and Antoinette curled up to sleep wondering if they remembered to use protection, my sim was out back doing back springs.   "YAY!  BABIES COMING!"

Sunday, we got our first Ceera sighting.  Haven't seen her kids yet but the boss poked her head in finally!  Being the active sim that she is, she stalked the trampoline and Antoinette's ballet bar.  She didn't try to socialize all that much other than to growl at the other sims for being on her items of choice before she could lay claim.  "Grrrr!  It's my turn to jump now!   Grrrrr!  I want to pirouette!"

I, of course, hung around the lot deep into Sunday night / Monday morning to make sure that there was indeed a bun in the over.

Yup!  It's there!  SURPRISE!!  Before I head back over to the college campus, here's a pic of the new and improved Kate Gypsy:

Ta-da!   And I know this first kid for Gen 3 is going to be a girl.. How do I know?  Because I have a boy name picked out but not sure about a girl.  Maybe Zoey for a play on Antoinette?  Zoiy?  Zetta?  Well, at least I have a little bit of time to think about it while I pop in over on campus.

     Till next time!
