Archer House

     I'm so excited to be starting Week 23.  It's summertime in Legacy Cove and there's so much going on.  We have birthdays for the adults turning to elders, marriages, and I have plans for new community lots, owned by residents in town, of course!  

     Without further adieu, let's check in on who our players are in the first house.  This is the core household of the neighborhood, our founding family, the Archers.

     Now, in all honesty, it took me a long time to start playing.  I loaded the game up several times but I was just clueless on a big decision.  "Who should Zavoy pick to marry??".  He graduated from uni with the decision narrowed down to two.  Then I remembered.  Duh.  Let him pick.  

     

     So I loaded up the game and their house, and teleported the girls over.  Clare headed over to the piano immediately and ignored everyone.  Which is a shame because she's a popularity sim.  Zack and Zavoy both being romancers (Wright help me break this romancer trend when Generation 5 arrives) and Toots is a pop sim...  I thought the mirrored aspirations could be cute.  But Clare didn't go meet all the new people in the house.  Maybe she's shy... but that doesn't bode well for a Legacy wife. 

     Miss Laken on the other hand had a grand time.  She woo'ed Zavoy and his parent alike.  They were all delighted by her.  

      I can't believe I had forgotten, some decisions just make themselves.  So we slept on it.  Both myself personally and the Archer household.  Not all of the household slept though...

     He's minding his business so, okay Zachariah, float on... But we've had plenty of ghost drama the last few weeks.  I'll be watching.  

     I also sent Toots to her bar, The Legacy, to check up on things.  

     So far, so good!  Rank 4 already!  Moving right along.  And so is Zavoy and Laken's relationship.  

     On Tuesday, we invited Laken back over.  Zavoy wanted to go on a date so I indulged so I could feel out where they are.  I'm hoping for a wedding this week!  They absolutely did not disappoint!  If I had any doubts that these two romancers would work out together, they showed me they are in for the long haul!  

     I may have gasped.  I may have even made a little scream!  BOTH OF THEM WANT TO BE MARRIED?   But they both also have a fear of getting married... I can work with this though.  Let me lock those marriage wants!  

     Oh, and notice the time!  Where is Pixel, he's growing up today!  

     I think the mini-fireworks and confetti from Pixel are entirely appropriate because Zavoy and Laken's relationship is going somewhere fast!  

     They don't even take their coats off first!  They might be nervous... There was some conversation about the weather. 

     Okay, I'm feeling a bit like a creeper so let's give them a few minutes.  And we're going to have to give them another few minutes because they got up, kissed and flirted, and wanted to hop back in bed again.  

     Laken has no shame, she's happy to walk around this house in her underwear and even play the piano like we're a wild, wild west brothel!

     I don't know why it feels more appropriate but I had Toots invite her out to the hot tub so that she'd at least be in her bikini.  Julie Jaz was over with Walter's family (Walter is Zack's nephew).  She had a shockingly bad time.... Oh dear....

     When Wednesday rolled around, I sent Toots back to the Legacy.  She wants to have 30 Best Friends and she's not making sufficient progress at home.  Right off the bat, she got a good review!

     Kirsten Rosehill made her debut.  She is a suspiciously good pool player for being a new kid on the block.  

     My real-life sister Teressa showed up, along with my very underage nephew Lucian.  

     My sister is just out here poking EVERYONE!  Calm down!  The hottie she's trying to pick a fight with is Chase Banque.  

     Lucian farted.  Which only made her madder.  She poked him in the chest too!

     And I swear to you all... I thought, she's getting out of hand.  Where is my dad?  And who shows up?  

     MY DAD.  That's Griz Lilly in the blue.  The baseball shirt is Dyne Payne, the town savior.  (If you don't remember, my friend Payne fixed my computer and saved my game so I made him a sim-self for us to revere).   Dyne has been kind of elusive, I don't see him out and about too often.  So for him to show up here with my Dad..... NOT A COINCIDENCE!  They get along very well.  Too well...  In fact, they stuck together like glue in the bar.  They played a game of pool, got some juice...

     Oh, and my sister left.  I don't know if she went home, but she didn't stay here!  

     Meanwhile, Toots was busy with the town complainer.  

     Zinc the servo is our bartender.  He's been on the job for hours.  Toots sent him on a break.  He's never on break long because he's a robot.  He's right back to work.  But that little sliver of time he was on break.... Kate wanted a drink.  

     For the record, Kate was also the first complaint at Deb's Diner.  She has NO MERCY for new business!!!!  Even if you are her Twinkie sister!!!!  

     It's okay thought, my dad is having a GREAT time.  He's making kissy faces at all the ladies.  

     And you see, behind him, Zinc is back on the job!  Kate didn't cause too many problems at least, and The Legacy is already Rank 5!

     Let's end on a good note, and get back home!  

     On Thursday, Zavoy asked Laken to move in.  I'm planning a Friday wedding.  Tell all your friends!

     Laken is a science kind of girl and on the first night she discovered an unknown star!  Way to go!   She's a romancer too and a Scorpio.  9-6-5-4-3 are her stats. 

     Now, all week until now, the ghosts have been well behaved.  A few ghost dogs digging up the lawn but the two-legged ghosts were quiet.  Now that we have a wedding in the morning though.... THEY ARE OUT.  

     Somehow they all survived the night.  So not to be too presumptuous but I set up the yard for a home wedding before I had Zavoy propose.  

     But she still said yes!!

     AND GUYS!  LOOK!!!!!!!!

      So I figure we'll start bringing over the family and friends around noon'ish.  But then I had a thought that started the next disaster... "It hasn't rained all week" ... WHY would I think that? 

     Luckily, it finally dried up and around 2pm we were ready to get going.  But we have a possible wardrobe malfunction!  Julie Jaz is still sooty from the lightning strike.  

     But that's not the worst thing... Israel Wolosenko (Isaac's brother from Legacyville) just had to come by to steal our newspaper...

     (Was he seriously going to throw punches at the sentry bot?)  Anyway... yeah, he got zapped.  

 

     And instead of going back to it's base, the stupid robot malfunctioned.  

     It zapped Frazier, Zack's brother-in-law.  

     Getting that thing under control took us to 4pm.  I wasn't prepared for a night wedding!  Let's get this wedding started!

     So Zavoy and Laken took the hurry to heart and the ceremony started pretty much immediately instead of waiting for all of the guests to spin, change clothing, and take a seat.  And we can't win them all, the engagement was a go but the marriage got the red rings.  

     I'm not going to complain though, these two were VERY accommodating considering they are romancers!!   

     And before I got pictures of all the guests dressed up, they started walking off.  Like what are all of you Sims trying to do to me here.  This wedding is so close to being a disaster... I swear to Wright, I was trying not to have a fit.

     So  yeah, wow, this wedding was so close to being ruined so many different ways.  But the bride and groom weren't affected and dropped into bed too tired to even whoohoo.  

     Saturday, I let them all just kind of do what they wanted.  Laken wants to be a Rock God and already has a job in the right industry.  Convenient, isn't it?  She got a promotion on Sunday.  

     I'm already growing quite fond of Laken being around.  She likes to clean!  I looked at Zinc's stats and his cleanliness is a bit low.  So I had Laken spawn another servo, Zinc 2.0!!!  

     And trying to close up the house on Sunday was another night of frustration.  The ghosts were out... Zoey's OWN MOTHER scared her!

      And another sentry bot malfunctioned.  This one sent me for a loop because it was a deactivated one in the garage.  (Zachariah made a bit of a stash before he passed on).  

     But at least all of the ladies are bonding!  Toots and Laken are now best friends, can't really ask for more, can we?  

     I'm so delighted with Laken!  WELCOME TO THE ARCHER HOUSE!  And now, before anything else happens, I better save and move on to the next house!

     I'm so excited to be back on campus with a bunch of the generation four YOUNG ADULTS!  They aren't kids anymore, are they?  They're really growing up well.  Let me re-introduce the Sims here at university.

     Whew, so that's three that we'll have graduating at the end of this.  And five incoming freshmen to get acclimated.  I have the house split with 4 rooms on each side, so there's a girls' wing and a boys' wing.  And so I started out with Shawn and Uri living on a separate lot but decided to temporarily bunk them in on the girls' side until the other 3 graduate.  I make things a lot more complicated than they need to be sometimes!  

     There's not a lot to document from the first few days.  It was a lot of getting the new kids settled in, finding a routine for six boys to use one toilet and two showers upstairs (there's another bathroom downstairs but this house/dorm isn't my best layout), and checking out what's on the chemistry meters.  

     And way too early, we have a love triangle.  I teamed Uri and Shawn up to be BFFs since they were my two nature nuts.  Uri is also BFFs with his cousin Treva.  Treva is innocent in the next part.  Uri and Shawn are both 3-bolts for a uni townie named Renee Spitzig.  With all the chaos of eight sims coming and going and inviting over so many available suitors to check chemistry, I didn't notice both boys were digging Renee.  I just knew she had 3-bolts of attraction with one of the freshmen boys and I was really focusing first on the three upcoming graduates.  Soo... we have ourselves a lil' Bermuda Triangle now.  

 

     Yup, this is a mess waiting to happen.  But first... I let one of them cook mac-n-cheese.  We've got fires to put out everywhere now.  

     So I had the boys send Renee home for the night so we can get facts straight and figure out what to do.  Jen Tucker was also over and I had them send her home too.  Uri got pretty hands-on with the goodbye.  I thought there might be hope here. 

     So the next day.... Shawn makes his move on Renee without consulting me.  But I think, okay, so Shawn will end up with Renee and Uri with Jen.  

     Laugh in Simlish with me.  Uri is young and lookin' for LOVE.  And hell, it's not even spring yet.  Uri, what am I going to do with you?  

     Well, first things first, luckily we have two farmers and there's strawberries in the juicer from the previous generation.  I sent Shawn to drink some strawberry juice and cool his jets.  

     I'll get the boys straightened out but meanwhile... I'll scout out some other potentials for each of them.  It's going to be hard maintaining them as best buds when they are both in love with the same girl.  

     I let the kids spend their school grant simoleans as we pondered our options.  We put the **@)! train up in the attic and Xayden bought a pool table.  There's also a few new plants courtesy of our nature nuts, and I can't even remember what else.  I apparently shop blindly when I'm annoyed. 

     All has not been a love fail though.  Vincent is digging Ceera.  He loves going jogging one or two times a day (please calm down, Vincent) and real-life Ceera operates a day camp for kids that focuses on fitness.  It seems like a match made in heaven!  

     Yes, Ceera!  Call him, maybe?   

     The girls meanwhile.... No 3-bolters for Treva at all that I can find.  And Yvonne has too many.  So the girls are on the back burner right now and largely unsupervised.  Treva is fine.  She's always playing PC games.  Go gamer girl power!  But Yvonne....

     She's been on the telescope.  During the day.  And I guess Cassie is the new finger-poker in town?  That, I did not expect! 

     So back to my Bermuda Triangle.  

     Renee kind of made the decision.  Which, silly me, was the right way to do this all along.  Shawn has met Noelle Garth, a nice family sim that was with the generation three uni students.  Renee who?  So this just turned out splendidly. 

     We've got crushes, and Shawn doesn't even react!  What a relief.  The love triangles are so frustrating to me.  Some people like the drama.  I absolutely do not.   

     I have a feeling though that we're not out of the woods on the drama... 

     Dang, Yvonne.  Xavier!?  Really?  The others are Bursty Bodkin (my real-life adopt-a-kid), Brandon Deppiesse, and Marsh Mellon (both of the latter from the old neighborhood).  

     And we can't forget that there's a Romancer here with no 3-bolters at all.  So Zavoy's torn between Claire Reamon, a university townie....

     And Laken Dallas, another cross over from the old neighborhood.  

     Oh, and Zavoy also wants to have three loves at once.  Boy, you wildin'.  

     And you know what I do NOT need right now?  Roaches.  Thank you, security bot for notifying me that Hyun kicked our trash can.  

     Well, we get to wrap up the dating game for a while now.  Three of the boys are graduating!  Time to send them back to the Cove!  

     Oh, I forgot to re-introduce you all to Xavian's red she-devil.  Her name is Morrdredd Montana, her real-life version is a gaming friend of mine.  I had thoughts of Xavian not getting married and having an alien baby perhaps but he has 3-bolts with Morrdy which I just can't ignore.  Although he can.... He wants to talk to her and spend time with her... but not be romantic with her.  We'll work on that back in the 'hood.  

     Xayden pulled the short stick of being a bachelor.  I feel guilty but he hasn't really told me otherwise.  Except that, as a fortune sim, he wants to marry a rich sim.  Sigh.  These boys....
