TS2 - Legacy Cove - Week Three in the Cove

The Sims 2

Week Three in the Cove

Really, I need to do something more productive around here.  But... But... So addicted to seeing how this family grows!  Tomorrow is a new day though.  Tomorrow I'll work on some things that I'm supposed to be doing.

Until then.... Amaris, would it help you at all to know that you have this awesome big house now?  GO BIG OR GO HOME, I always say.  Right now the upstairs is not being utilized but I went ahead and chopped it into rooms and put some carpet down.  Look at all that space!  There's so much more room for activities now!

Also... I want to mention that I never looked in Amaris's inventory until Zachariah grew up and I went to stuff his crib in there.  My jaw dropped!  Look at all these goodies she has tucked away!  THEY ARE RICH!

Now... Confession time.  Several of the Twinks started freezing after a snowball fight in the winter.  For almost the whole spring, Lindsay Mizry kept strolling by the house but she'd walk back off the lot almost immediately.  I tried to click on her to greet her but got the "no actions available" dead-end.  So I teleported her in, then accidentally added her to the household.  It's a good thing that I mis-clicked that because she was freezing to death.  Seriously!

Hahahaha... I mean, sorry Lindsay!  I sent her to have a bubble bath and then a nice hot meal with the family.  She quit chattering and her skin turned back to it's normal color so I kicked her back out.  But she's fine now.  No deaths yet.  And for that, I must apologize to Amaris.  The Queen of sim deaths!

My sim-self Carissa Pepper also stopped by to use their computer.  I'm sure it was to keep this blog going.  I also tricked myself into helping clean the house.  Sucka!  Oh... wait... Sigh.

So where are we?  Oh, yes.  Amaris is carrying baby #2 and Zachariah is a toddler.  He has already lit up tinkering as his hobby of choice, thanks to the kiddie table.  I am kinda sad he didn't get science like Mom & Dad but variety is the spice of life, right?

Zach's birthday came up before it was baby time.  Yay!  Party time!  Please ignore the frozen Gypsy in the background.  She is okay and is still living also.  Do not be alarmed!

*Squeeee!*  He's such a doll!  I am so happy with this gorgeous kid, and he's such a good boy too.  A little messy and likes to abuse the teleprompter which Zane got from his short stint in the politics career but what kid doesn't?

     Zach's stats are 3 (sloppy) - 3 (shy) - 9 (active) - 9 (playful) - 10 (nice).  Awesome!  He's a Sagittarius and as I mentioned before he likes tinkering.  This kid is a keeper.  I love Sags!

With Zachariah needing his own bed, I finally decided to make use of the rooms upstairs.  It's still a bit bare but his room is totally cute.  Most of his toys are downstairs in the nursery/playroom, so I'm still working on what to fill his room with.  He's got great views of the water from his room too.  I'm totally jealous and want this house and his room for myself.

So I'm sure you know what comes next.  Amaris can't be pregnant forever.  Not continuously at least.  I'm kind of curious as to when she and Zane will stop wanting more babies.  Anyway, here we go!  This time, she went into labor in the kitchen.  Whew, much easier to clean up in there.

Bobbi Wetninja and Silia Medrano were our midwives this time.  Bobbi freaked out.  Silia apparently won a betting pool.  Ladies, I'm shaking my head at both of you.  No help at all!

May I present to you, Miss Zamaris Archer!  We have a girl this time!  She has the same brown hair from Amaris and custom green eyes from her dad.  I'm wanting to keep those custom eyes around as long as possible so the more kids that have it, the happier I am!!

By the way, Silia.  I see you back there.  You really need to be trying harder.  If you want to marry into the royalty Zane and Amaris are breeding here, TRY to look happy.  So far, I award you no points.

Since the babies look pretty much identical, I didn't get a whole lot of shots of Zamaris as a baby.  But I DID get pictures of Amaris being a less than stellar parent.  Tsk tsk!

Fear not, after Bobbi & Silia went off to throw water balloons at each other Amaris did get her act together and got that baby up off the floor.  Another confession... I realized Zamaris was on the floor possibly because I forgot to take the crib back out of Momma's inventory.  Oopsie!

Seriously, though, Zane and Amaris are pretty good parents.  Amaris didn't have a lot of toddler skilling wants for Zach, but she made up for it when he aged up to a child.  She wanted to see him get good grades and grow up well, all that other good stuff.  Zach likes to use the skilling items to get his fun meter full after a long day at school, even if that does include burping into the teleprompter... Ahem.  But mostly he is drawn to all things tinkering and wants to do his homework every evening.

And... it's birthday time again, this time to toddler up Zamaris.  I'm so excited!  Can't wait to see if she is as cute as her brother!

(Silia and Toots, see how Julie is celebrating with the family?  Please take notes!)
Presenting Miss Zamaris Archer!  Her stats are 7 (neat) - 3 (shy) - 5 (active) - 4 (serious) - 8 (nice).  She's a Cancer like her parents, but she also quickly flagged tinkering as her hobby thanks to the tot table.

How cute is this kid!  And because she's adorable, I of course took more pictures of her.  There's also a pic with my own Makayla Pepper taking care of her.  Good job, kiddo!

Because this family doesn't have enough going on, we made two more additions.  You KNOW what happens to a family sim's want panel when their baby grows up to a toddler.  Since their track record is good so far and both parents rolled up lots of skilling wants this time, I indulged again.

The second addition is Astro.  Zach wanted a pet and I figured with his parents preoccupied with Zamaris and the bun in the oven, the dog would be a good companion for Zach.

That's enough for one week!  I'll be back soon with more kids and birthdays and green eyed cuties!

TS2 - Legacy Cove - Birth Announcement!

The Sims 2

Birth Announcement

Now I am unstoppable.  Muwhahah!  I've spent a good 24 hours doing not much else other than simming.  So here we go, on to the 2nd week of Legacy Cove.

And.... OHMIGOSH!  Guess who finally strolls by the house?  It's me!  Lovable, wonderful ME!

"Wow, ma'am, it's such an honor to finally meet you!"
Awww, shucks, Zane.  Just wanted to see how you guys are doing n' stuff.

First thing to note is that after a week Zane FINALLY found a job in the education career path.  And he came home from his first day of work Monday with a promotion!  Things are looking up for his career!

Pregnancy is not the highlight of Amaris's life.  It's not totally terrible but her energy and hunger are hard to keep full and let's not even start on her bladder.  Can't believe she's a family sim and going to want to do this again. Just watch... She'll spin up another baby want as soon as this one is a toddler.  And please.. just be one.  Let's not start this Legacy off with twins.

We still have our fellow Twinks stopping by and helping Amaris pass away the long hours being home alone.  Except... well... we discovered some fashion oopsies.  Apparently Julie Jaz & Toots Savoy shop at the same place... Sorry ladies!  Gawsh, that's embarrassing.

The days passed by pretty quickly.  Julie was actually great for letting Zane or Amaris influence her to help clean up the house.  She strolls by almost every day, so I'm assuming she doesn't mind helping keep house.  I haven't yet had Zane or Amaris hire a maid or any other help.  Just once we hired the repair woman to help fix the dishwasher because Zane insisted he couldn't do it.  Whatever.  Wussy!

Then... before you know it... Amaris woke up Tuesday night feeling a little odd.  She called for help then clutched her stomach.  "OoooooOOooooOOOooOOOO!!"  Ya'll simmers know what that noise means!

It wasn't just Zane that came to the rescue when she called for help!  Kate Gypsy and Toots had been visiting for most of the day and Julie was still puttering around the house helping to clean up the mess a pregnant woman and a few Twinkies can make!

"YOU CAN DO IT!  BEAR DOWN!  BEAR DOWN!"

"Is she done yet?  Let's get this dog & pony show over with."

Zane just decided to take it easy and wait for the ladies to tell him what to do.  Jerk.  I'm not impressed, Zane!  NOT IMPRESSED!  What an asshole.

And here I would like to introduce to anyone that actually reads this blog, the second generation of Legacy Cove.  Zachariah Archer.  YAHOO!  *CONFETTI*  Momma's brown hair and daddy's custom green eyes!  I'm so happy!

So Amaris got the next few days off due to her work schedule.  Since she had just taken a good, long nap before Zachariah was born, I sat back and watched her to see how she would do autonomously parenting.  Not bad, Amaris.  Not bad at all.  She likes to hold the lil' guy and she is really good about putting him back into the crib instead of the floor.  Points for that!  She's a pretty good mom.  So far, the scale is tilted to allowing her to have more kids when she wants 'em.

We had a couple of visitors also stop by to see the baby and I kept a close eye on any of them that felt entitled to touch our precious prince of Legacy Cove!  Julie had proven herself reliable but the others.... *narrows eyes*

Zane somehow came out ahead with a higher relationship score with Zach, even though with him going off to work every day he wasn't spending as much quality time with the baby.  I felt bad for Amaris.  Doing all this great parenting but not getting the recognition she deserved from Daddy's lil guy.  Especially since Zane was doing stuff like this...

Forgetting something, Zane?

"Yeah!  Do you know where I left that baby?"

*narrows eyes*

Watching you too, mister.  Zane redeemed himself later that night though.  Baby Zachariah made a diaper that woke up both parents.  Amaris's first action was to lecture the kid.  I made sure Zane got there first to clean him up.

All too soon, it's birthday time!  YEEEHAAWW!!  Time to see if we have a cutie or not!  My rule is usually the parent with the higher relationship score gets to take the kid to the cake... and I really don't know how Zane is ahead but whatever!  Amaris could use a break anyway.

Only, Zach wasn't ready to grow up just yet.  Amaris had studied parenting during his naps so I had her check him out to see why he didn't grow up after blowing out the candles.  He was sleepy.  I suppose all this partying stuff can wear a baby out.  So Amaris takes him off to bed.  Lays him down.  Picks him up.  And *poof* we have a toddler!!  Sometimes there's just no substitute for Momma's touch.

After he had a good nap, both parents helped me get him dolled up and ready for pictures.  Such a cutie!  I figured with Amaris's punk outfit, the mohawk was working.  Even if he does have adorable froggy jammies on!

Hopefully I'll get another update up soon, so you can see how week three starts off.  Spring is here and the ground is thawing and it's time to add onto their ranch house!  And remember... I believe in GO BIG OR GO HOME!

Stay tuned for the next chapter!
