Legacy Cove - Week Eighteen - 1002 Centowski Street

     Confession.  It seems I really enjoyed my time this week with Xavier and Lindsay.  I took a lot of pictures.  I'll try to move this along but they had quite the week and there's lots of ground to cover.  Do you have your snacks?  A drink?  Maybe a cozy blanket?  Okay, let's get rolling.  

     We left off on Xavier establishing his new house and seeing it grow from a mound of grass to a decent starter house, especially after moving in Lindsay and adding her money to the household funds.  Excellent.  This week we are starting off with some inheritance money from Xavier's dad Trevor as well.  

      Fortune sims, always happy over a death.  Well, he's had a few household rotations between his dad's death and starting up his week to get him adjusted to this.  Meanwhile, girlfriend Lindsay is having a small alteration done because the population of Pleasure sims in this neighborhood is drowning me and real Lindsay agreed that's not quite where she is in life anymore.  

      So now Lindsay is a Fortune sim and wants to become THE LAW.  Ambition at it's finest. She also now has a secondary in Knowledge.  Excellent.  So now we have a pair of fortune sims.  And Xavier is working his way up to becoming a Space Pirate.  

      Baby steps, ya'll.  This career-minded duo landed enough simultaneous time off together to finally get hitched and become official.  I sent them on down to the Cove Chapel to see if all the oopsies have been worked out.  

      Oopsie, I forgot to have them get engaged first.  Imagine me clicking on the arch (which was the problem during Yung and Pearly's wedding) and getting no reaction and mentally screaming WHY!!!!  ... Until I realized we had not nailed down that prior step.  We'll get that out of the way here on the sidewalk while dressed in our wedding bliss finery.  

     There we go, now we just teleport in all their friends and family.  Good, good... Now ROLL THAT BEAUTIFUL BEAN ..........WEDDING FOOTAGE!

     Time to head on back home after some cake and dancing, and this is the point where we added in the garage you see in the opening pic.  Lindsay also got to build a garden so she can explore her nature hobby.

      She and Xavier have been exploring a lil' something else also.  She woke up with a little bump!

      Lindsay is a little unsure about this baby thing, but she definitely wanted to grow her new family.  So before talking to Xavier, where he could have explained the family's and neighborhood's schnoodle obesession, she called the adoption shelter.

      Then we had another bump!  This is really getting in the way of her promotions for work and she's excited to be making progress on at least something!

     Then the next day, it happened.  Luckily Xavier was home.  Unluckily, she was out in her garden.  We are having a nature baby, ya'll!  HERE WE GO!

      She's not listening when I tell her to breathe.  In fact, i'm pretty sure I heard some R-rated words!!!

      Maybe not, Xavier doesn't seem to hear anything.  On one hand, such a good husband to help her with the gardening.  On the other hand...... HELLO WE ARE HAVING A BABY!!!

     In fact, we are having a baby boy!  And he's got great-grandpa Zane's eyes!  I'm so delighted!

      His name is Uri, and he's got brown hair like momma.  You know, the boy gene is strong for the Centowski's.  This goes all the way back to the last neighborhood, Legacyville.  Only one girl has been born in the family line and she was a twin to a boy.  

     I'm still not sold that Xavier has registered that his wife just gave birth to their child outside in the yard but things seem to be going over well nonetheless.... 

      I get his nursery set up while some help arrives from the street and the teleporter.  It's not looking good for Xavier that he didn't notice the birth behind his back but people from the street came running to see if someone needed help!!

      I'm not sure why gardening is taking such a priority over NEW BABY excitement but it's okay.  I brought in Xavier's older brother Xane, who had twins so should have some experience here, to help. 

   
      Fortune sims, you know?  Baby Uri is in good hands now, at least.  The next day brought a smile our fortune sims' faces though!  

      NOW at least they are both paying attention!  Just had to let them get what they wanted and they recognize now that, hey, there's someone else in the house too!

      Why does Xavier look so perplexed?  "What the hell is this?  Where did this lil guy come from?"

      Oh, Xavier... Well, let me take you guys on a quick tour of the house to show off their fortunes.  That ought to make them happy.

     And then Luna grew up!  She's a dalmation, who woulda thunk!  Those crazy dogs not having spots when they are born.  SHE IS NOT GOING TO MATCH AT ALL WITH THE SCHNOODLES!  

      Lindsay, you are gonna have a lot of 'splaining to do when you see everyone next.  They've seen some strays but not many and no one has owned a dog that's not a schnoodle.  There will be gossip.  But Lindsay doesn't really care.  She sets right off to training Luna and establishing her ownership over her.  

      Sunday finally rolls around and we have the whole family over.  Hey, look, all three of Zayna and Trevor's kids!   

      That's Xane, Xavier, and Xander.  I can spot a Centowski anywhere in my hood.  I'm sure you guys aren't keeping track of the different genetic traits in each family, but through I don't even know how many generations there's been the same nose. 

      It's endearing and some day it'll be phased out and I'll be so sad.  

      You know, this week has been so exhausting.  We've had an engagement, a wedding, a new puppy, a birth, the puppy has grown up, a lifetime want has been achieved, several other promotions... but something is missing.....

      A BIRTHDAY!!

     Oh dear.  That's not going to work at all, give me just a minute here...

     Okay, ready!  

      Oh, Wright, he's a doll!  Uri Centowski is Libra.  He's gonna be messy, with 2 messy points, 6 outgoing, 2 lazy, 10 playful, and 9 nice.  I have a feeling I'm going to love him!

      Meanwhile... in the living room... Zayna is telling the whole family about the garden birth. 

      Uri is taught to walk very quickly, he's so smart!  And he gets some time in with his cousins, Xane's twins Xayden and Xavian.

      Now... finally... we are done with the week.  What a ride.  What a doozy.  Our parting shot will be of our first ever Space Pirate in Legacy Cove.  I think he looks pretty cute!

Legacy Cove - Week Eighteen - 2 Bamboo Blvd

     Would you believe that I forgot to take house pictures the whole week I was at the home of Yamaris and Fletcher Lind?  Yeah, usually I take a daytime pic to start the blog and a nighttime pic to close 'er up.  So I stole the above pic from the last update for their house.  

     To be fair, we were really busy.  Like, Yamaris is hugely pregnant and she just starts off the week by giving birth. 

     Her sister Yvette had come by with the intentions, or so I thought, of being her midwife or something, but she was no help.  Did ANYONE attend the child birthing classes?  .... Probably Fletcher who is the family sim of this bunch and of course he's off at work!!

      You'd think her mother Zamaris would be of assistance seeing as how she's birthed 5 children of her own but she's decided to watch from a safe and reasonable distance.  I feel like I need to give her some popcorn.  

     Yamaris pulls this off on her own though!  Congratulations!  It's a boy with Yamaris's blue eyes which she inherited from her father, Rob.  And brown hair like momma too!  I'm so excited to see this lil guy grow up because Yamaris and Fletcher are pretty easy on the eyes.

     So... Allow me to welcome Vincent Lind to the neighborhood!  Momma and son are doing great following the unassisted home birth.  No thanks to grandma Zamaris who got a nice +8000 aspiration for sitting on the couch while her daughter struggled alone.  

     "Oooooh, you had a baby!  I was really worried there!".... Really, Yvette?  Why do you even invite yourself over and into the house imminently before the birth if you weren't anticipating this.  

     Right... NOW she's excited?  If I didn't need someone to feed the baby 10 bottles and hold him until he is exhausted then set him on the kitchen floor, I'd send your ass home.  But Yamaris needs a nap.  

     Aw, but Grandma steps up to do all of this the right way.  No grandbaby of hers is going to be sleeping on the kitchen floor!

     Yamaris needed that nap so she could head off to her job as a criminal mastermind.  Look at our sexy momma!  

     Princess Peach is adapting well to the new addition to the family also.  She's a very spoiled pup.  And a very smart one.  That baby will turn into a toddler and then the higher this dog can get, the safer she will be!

     The days flew by and ta-da!  IT'S BIRTHDAY TIME!  Come through for me, genetic lottery!!

PERFECT!

     Our adorable Vincent looks kinda like Benecio Del Toro.  He's a Libra, stats of 5 neat, 9 outgoing, 5 active, 5 playful, and 7 nice.  He's gonna be a heart breaker, I can feel it.  

     Mom carried on most of the infant duties while Fletcher worked through the week but now he's picking up the slack and helping Vincent learn his toddler skills.  

     Because Yamaris is knocked up again!  The rule currently is single births unless a family sim is involved and wants more.  And Fletcher said, "Give me more of these, I like 'em!"  Ask and you shall receive, Fletcher.

      But there better only be one in there.  

      "See, I got this kid thing down, give me more!"   Since you are doing such a admirable job of attending to the one you have and your genetics are winning, then you got your wish, buddy. 

      The day is coming close.  Jaws theme music plays in the background.   We might have this baby before the week is up.  

      It's time!  IT'S TIME!  You got this though, Yamaris, you can birth this baby all by yourself!

      Because we know how much help Yvette is and HERE SHE IS AGAIN ATTENDING THE BIRTH. 

IT'S A GIRL!

      Vamaris Lind has black hair like dad and Great-Grandma Amaris's green eyes.  Excellent, since she carries on her name.  Ya'll getting confused yet by the generations of Amaris namesakes?   

     Is anyone else exhausted here yet?  I am.  Cheers to the end of the week!   Next week we'll see these kids grow up more.   I can't wait!
