Legacy Cove - Week Twelve - Archer House

      Welcome back to Legacy Cove, founded by the Archer family!  Currently in our main house, we have Zachariah and wife Antoinette along with their twins Zack and Zoey.  Oh, and let's not forget the schnoodles Aristotle and crazy Annarosa!

     First things first, Zachariah wanted a hot tub.  Well... why not, right?  They have plenty of money and lots of room, so I made them a cozy outdoor area on the back of the garage.  

     All they need is a bar now.  Well, I'll wait till one of them insists on it before I add in a dang outdoor bar.  But we may need it to help soothe the complaints coming in about the sentrybot.  Ooops, sorry Sis!  

     SORRY, I'M NOT SORRY!!!  Stay off my lawn, you newspaper thieving hussy!  

     Ahem.  Anyway, I also decided to start extending the seasons to last a full week.  Antoinette was happy to help keep summer rolling a few extra days.  I think I saw a hack on MTS2 though that would let me set how many days are in a season?  I need to go look.  

     And what's a week at the Archer house without a birthday?  Little Aristotle is an elder now.  This makes me sad!

     Meanwhile, in the front yard... even the God Wright himself is trying to deter Antoinette and Robert from being friendly.  *SMITE*  Seriously, after last week's oopsie with Robert somehow upsetting his wife Zamaris, Rob & Antoinette need to separate. 

     Oh hey!!  Puppy time!!!  

     Meet Annie & Armand.  I'm not sure if I want to save Annie for Zoey or give her to Zayna.  Zayna's schnoodle Andromeda accidentally became an elder last week.  Oops!!   Since Zoey still has a few weeks ahead of her before she's settling down in her own house and ready to contribute to breeding, it may be best to send her to Zayna.  But Zoey does love little Annie already!  WHY SO MANY HARD DECISIONS IN THIS GAME!?

     Back for more, eh, sis!?   Muwhahahaha

     Later that night though... sometimes there's not words to caption a picture.  I'll just post this here and move on. 

    Antoinette's still working at the ballet thing, even though she's got the new dance school she opened and is into all the sports stuff.  But a Prima Ballerina always gets up, shows up, and dances like everyone's watching!

    Hey, here's two sisters that get along!  Unlike my simself Ms Pepper and my sister's sim Ms Bowcrafter.   Zamaris and Zayna look very, very similar but looking at their profiles shows a few differences such as the slope of their nose.  I really do love the genetics in this game!

     Ooops, crap.  Now we are zapping kids.   

     KIDS THAT SHOULDN'T BE IN OUR YARD ANYWAY, PAPER THIEVING PUNK!   But I'm starting to notice a pattern here... yikes!  Seriously, did Amaris just take possession of her grandson Zack so she could scare the pee out of her granddaughter Zoey??   Amaris, that's not nice at all!

     At least the next day we had some positive things going on.  The schnoodle pups grew up!  Annie is the white schnoodle and Armand is the yellow and white swirl.  (That's momma Annarosa in the background of Armand's picture.)

     Zachariah decided early in the week that he wanted to get a job and he's starting to pull in the promotions.  Wheeeee!!

     Sunday I finally got around to sending Antoinette and Zoey to their Ballet Academy.  It was a little more successful this time; not as many kids just standing around chatting.  But... teen girls will be teen girls.

New Items - Fingerless Gloves

New Items!

     I was looking to branch out from the jewelry items.  There's so many things that I want to make!  My brain is all over the place trying to decide what to add next to my little e-shop.  

     Growing up, my Mamaw taught me to crochet.  Over the years, I've mutilated the old stand-by tunisian stitch that I originally learned and finally manged to make something that's not crooked.  If you are an amatuer crocheter, I know you laughed!  Been there, done that, am I right?

     I present to you, my straight and beautiful fingerless gloves.  These are all crocheted by yours truly, with yarn bought locally here in the grand state of West Virginia.  Each pair has a few hours of needle work invested!  If you are trying to figure out what stitch I used, I'll repeat that I mutated the tunisian stitch.  I'll never reveal my secrets, muwhahah!  

     Sometimes called wrist or arm warmers, these little wonders are perfect for the tech age we are in.  Your fingers are still free for texting or tapping out a phone number on your touch-screen gadget.  If you aren't hip to the latest tech toys, I also adore using a pair I keep by my bed to wear while reading at night.  Hands warm, and I can still turn the page (or hit the button on the e-book, depending on the night!)  Wear them on the couch while you watch TV and surf your facebook.  And last but not least, I initially put my mind to learning to make these gloves while at work!  I can type and not have my hands freeze off!!   

     Having something new to make is exciting and so if you've been waiting to see what confession I have to make on this blog post, it's this.  I got really into making these and experimenting with different materials of yarn so ... I have quite a stockpile of these.  So here's a few that I've gotten pictures of and listed, but there's more to come!

Legacy Cove - Week Eleven - 1001 Centowski Street

     Back to the Centowski household, where I left Zayna and Trevor dancing under the bed sheets.  But alas, no lullaby welcomed me as I loaded up their house.  I even, "oops", did an exit without saving and re-loaded the lot but no.  Hmph

     So Trevor went on to work, and by the luck of a chance card he brought home a promotion to the SWAT team.  Well.  Fine!  But I was happy with him as a detective.  Stupid chance cards.  Also, as you can see, Trevor is in love with baby Xane.  He bee-lined right for him from the carpool.  

       They celebrated appropriately.

      Ahh, yes!  And this time we have the lullaby!  The next day, Zayna was off work and I had her greet about everyone that walked by.  Sims!   Sims everywhere!  And eating up all of the food!

      We had one of those parties where the cops show up.  Just kidding, that's Trevor coming home from work!   Guess he got called to break up the pillow fight between Kate & Toots.  Dunno who would have called him... *cough*

      He got home just in time for Zayna to go lay down for a minute.   Oh wait, kidding on that too!   She tried to lay down then *BOOM*... belly time!  Yay, babies are cookin'!  Xane is going to be a big brother!  

      
      Speaking of Xane... the next day was his toddler birthday!  It was a lovely day, so we had a rare backyard party!  

      But once again, like his cousin Yung Panda, the dang baby didn't want to grow up.  Tick tock, tick tock.  Come on, kid!  I NEED TO SEE HOW THE GENETICS ARE LOOKING IN THIS FAMILY!

      Trevor, like Rob at the Panda house, was determined to help but I finally sent him on to bed since he had to work the next day.  And don't you know it, but Zayna woke up from her nap (in bed, not on the couch!) and went to go toss the baby.  And YAHOO!  He's got a bit of a nose so far but he's still a doll!

      Xane Centowski is 3 (messy) - 6 (outgoing) - 5 (active) - 4 (serious) and 6 (nice) making him a virgo.  He has Amaris's maxis green eyes and the ladies' brown hair.

      As soon as he hit the floor, he sought out Andromeda.  I sense a friendship blooming here!

      Things were pretty low-key and dull until the next night... then... deja vu!   I seem to remember this scene from last week... 

     It's a boy!  Here's sweet Xavier Centowski.  Blonde hair and ... the custom green eyes!  Excellent!

     But wait!  We aren't done!  Trevor's in no position to take Xavier, so let's just lay the baby on the floor for a sec...

      Another boy!  We also have Xander Centowski to welcome to the family!  He has brown hair and also has the custom green eyes!  This is terrific!

      Zayna was exhausted, so she went on to bed.  Her siblings Zachariah and Zamaris tried to help out but one of them is more adept than the other... you'd be surprised which one is the natural baby whisperer...

      Hint:  It's not the family sim.  

      I was even suspicious when Lindsay stopped by the next day and helped out with the babies.  I really thought the baby was going to disappear down the drain or something.  Maybe end up in the toilet.  But no, she kept it alive!  I'm so proud of her!

      Not only is Romancer Zachariah a baby whisper but his twins Zoey and Zack are awesome baby sitters, too!   Zoey wouldn't put her cousin Xane down for hours, not until he was crying to sleep.

      But you don't hear Xane complaining!!  He really loves his big cuz!  

      Julie helped clean and helped with the babies as well... she even slept over one night.  *shifty eyes*

      At one point, I looked around the lot and thought, "Where the heck did everyone go?"  ... I found them gathered around charismatic little Xane. 

      These kids are some of the cleanest babies you've ever seen.  Everyone loves to bathe them.  I also love how Xane isn't lost in the mess of the twins.  He gets equal attention from all the visitors!

     They all lived until Sunday, which was a big day.  Family day AND three birthdays.  Buckle up, here we go!

      Xane moved out of the nursery and up to a big boy room.  I still haven't figured out what his hobby is, so it's kind of bare bones until I know better how to decorate it.  

      And the twins are keeeey-ute!!!  Here's our boy Xavier

       And Xander.  I thought I gave them both the same haircut but I'll have to fix that next time.. oops!  I didn't notice until I was out of the lot.

      

      The closing shot is their updated house.  Mid-week I spent most of their savings on cleaning up the street view and I'm pretty happy with it.  It still needs more work but the funds are not there yet.  I actually did the upgrades and saved right before she had twins.  D'oh!

      And that's a wrap on Week Eleven!  Back to the main house to start a new week!
