Legacy Cove - Week Eighteen - 3 Bamboo Blvd

     There's one last house to join us from generation 3.  Yardley Panda is staking a claim on the street he grew up in, right next to his mother and across the street from big sister Yamaris.  

     He's also moving in with his college girlfriend, Kayla Fancey.  Their combined starting money should springboard them off to a fantastic start, plus Yardley has some items tucked away from the money he inherited when his father Rob passed while he was in university.  Anyway, he and Kayla have a mission to accomplish.  

      He asked and she said yes!   Let's take a quick tour of their new house and then they'll take a day off work so there will be one last generation 3 wedding down at the chapel!  

     Not bad at all, eh?   Sadly, they have a better kitchen then the celebrity chef duo across town.  Okay, it's time to set their wedding formal wear.  We're going to the chapel and we're gonna get married!

     What a great wedding!  I'm excited by how nice some of those pictures are!   That's a great closer to the gen 3 wedding madness.  But now its time to get their life rolling.  

     Yardley is a fortune sim and loves nature.  He's a great gardener.  An Aquarius.  3 messy, 3 shy, 5 active, 10 playful, 7 nice.  He wants to earn $100k, so he won't be concerning himself with reaching the top of his career.  

     Kayla Fancey Panda is a Libra, a knowledge sim, and loves arts and crafts.  Her stats are 4 messy, 8 outgoing, 4 lazy, 4 serious, and 10 nice.  To be complex, she wants to be a Mad Scientist.  Oh, and she's pregnant.  

      During her maternity time off work, she worked hard on her arts and craft skills.  She's max on her hobby. 

      Pregnancy time flew by, and then baby time arrives!  She's home alone and we're gonna wing this!  You can do it, Kayla!

      It's a boy!  Shawn Panda has momma's brown hair and grandpa Rob's blue eyes, same as his dad also!  We've got his nursery all set up and ready to go!

      We also put some finishing touches on the kitchen, it's looking gorgeous.  

      Grandma Zamaris came over to help with baby Shawn.  She's been kind of hands-off with some of the babies which is odd for a family sim but maybe she had her 5 and she's done.  But she seems to realize that Shawn's the last grandkid.  

     And I sent Kayla to get a make-over.  She looked too much like Lindsay with that hair style and I just wasn't loving her look.  Let's see what magic we can whip up.  

     So cute, she seems to be unsure of her new look.  You look fabulous, dahling.  Wait until Yardley sees you.  But no more babies, ya'll are part of the one-and-done club.  Yup, Shawn is the last baby to be born into generation 4.  They are being cut off.  

     Sunday was a great day with all of the family over.  Yvette is starting to get the hang of the baby thing and has turned into a top notch aunt. 

     Dinnertime is always a crowd, what with one member of generation two, five members of generation three, and four members up and coming in generation four.

     And finally our week comes to an end.  Shawn will have to wait until next week to have his birthday and show me his genetics.  I'm so nervous!!

     Our last stop was at Xavier Centowski's house and now we are going to stop in and see what his twin Xander is up to.  Xander lives with his girlfriend Cassie.  While Cassie is a Sagittarius pleasure sim and Xander is a romancing Taurus, both aspire to be celebrity chefs.  I know, you can hear me yelling at them, "BOTH OF YOU?" but it is what it is.  Maybe that's what's drawn them together.  A mutual dream.  They can co-host a cooking show or something.  

     Xander also inherited a tidy sum from the passing of his father, Trevor, so we've been putting that to use to help make the house a little more liveable.  

     It's got a long way to go.  We desperately need paint and carpet and furniture.  But you know what else we need?  A ring on Cassie's finger and we got to jump on these kind of things while romancer Xander doesn't have an active fear.  

     Sorry you didn't get all the bells and whistles, Cassie, and Xander is actually in his pajamas but do you want to marry the man or not?  And speaking of that, let's get that wedding rolling while he's still in a good mood!

      We're putting the Cove Chapel to work this week!  Doesn't Cassie make a gorgeous bride?  And I secretly have a big crush on Xander.  That nose doesn't bother me a bit.  Plus, I love the dark and moody types.  Are you sure you want to marry this girl, Xander?  There's another brunette wandering the 'hood that you might want to take another look at!!  Hint hint, nudge nudge!  Oh, sorry Cassie.  Ahem, let's go on with the show!

      In the background there, you'll see Yung looking very confused as Pearly and Yardley have a pillow fight.  You might think that he's just trying to figure out how this is the time or place for such an activity but really it's because Yung and Pearly absolutely monopolize each other's time and are oblivious to whatever situation is going on around them.  Three-bolters, ya'll.  That's what you get. 

     Meanwhile... after the ceremony.... my romancer is romancing his wife!  I'm so proud!

       Let's take a quick peek at the newlyweds home.  We're looking at the sideview, the front door is to the left.  Backporch on the right.  

      So much to do.  So... much... to... do.  This just isn't going to work for us, you know?  We need a distraction so we don't have to actually do any work here.  

     That'll do it... Yes, there's no paint, no floors, but there's a bun in the oven.  Haha, they want to be celebrity chefs, did you catch the pun there?  Since I had to point it out, probably not.  At least I humor myself, ya'll!

     The pregnancy progresses pretty well.  She's not the greatest pregnant sim I've had but as long as she's no Toots we'll all be fine.  

     Let me introduce you to two new fellas in the 'hood.  They play another game with me and are jealous that I'm spending all my time here with the Twinkie gals.  We have Soupy Stephens, the bearded wonder.  And Anthony who's last name is not settled still.  He's very high-maintenance.

 

     *Checks watch*  Okay!  Back to our regularly scheduled program!  Because IT'S TIME!!!  IT'S BABY O'CLOCK!!!

      It's a girl!  A darling girl with blonde hair and Cassie's dark eyes!  Her name is Treva, after her grandfather Trevor. 

      Meanwhile... 

     Congratulations, Xander!  What a night!  A baby and a promotion to your dream job!  

     Meanwhile... Zayna has the baby but this really isn't here strong suit.  Where did that Deb go....

     Cassie, another nature hobby enthusiast, was back up and on her feet and hiking in no time.  And I'm not sure her doctor would approve of her running from bees though.  

     At least it was something to pass the droll days of infancy until birthday time!  Yep, Treva is turning into a toddler already!

For a romancer, he seems to be good at this fatherhood thing

     Treva is a Taurus like her daddy.  Stats are 8 neat, 7 outgoing, 8 active, 10 playful, and... oh dear... 1 nice point.  She's gonna be a meanie.
