TS2 - Legacy Cove - Week 22

Archer House

     It's springtime in Legacy Cove!  We're going to start off with our core Legacy house.  This week, we only have Zack and Toots Archer living here along with their pups.  Zakki and Zavoy have both left for college and while Zavoy will be returning to inherit the family estate, we'll see Zakki setting up her own home this week!  

     Before I re-introduce our residents, I thought it might be nice to share some floorplans of the houses I'm playing in.  So here's the main floor and upstairs of our first house in the Cove.

     The deck showing in the upper left corner of the second floor is actually just the deck on the main floor.  It's just big enough to show up in the other picture.  The nursery and first master suite is on the main floor, then upstairs we have another master suite and three bedrooms, along with an 'attic' space.  

     And here's our current residents!

     There's also a herd of schnoodles here.  Avery, Amos, Amma, and baby Acapella, but she's no longer a baby pup! 

     I'm trying to expand the commercial district and sims that aren't working are supposed to be self employed (novelists or artists such as Zack) or own a business.  Toots decided to open a bar.  We named it, "The Legacy".

     I built it separately then had Toots buy it as that seemed a bit easier than doing trial and error and wasting their money or cheating it back evenly.  I think it turned out pretty well though.  Let's follow young Braxton inside!

     There's a juice bar, jukebox, live band, pool tables, and there's even a mini fridge in the employee room so they can make some chip platters or sandwiches!

     Thanks to Deb, we have our first simoleon!  It's hung in the employee room over the desk with pride. 


     

     Our first rank didn't come quite as quickly as I thought but Toots still pulled that in pretty easily.  She's such an extrovert, the customers love her!

     Back at home though, the teens are up to no good.  That's our darling Treva Centowski, Deb's own granddaughter! that was caught trying to steal our newspaper!  Why, I NEVER!

     I also forgot to mention the OTHER residents in the home..... There's a lot of ghosts.  Ghosts of Zane and Amaris, ghosts of Zachariah and Antoinette, and ghosts of the dogs.  Strangely..... Amaris wasn't our problem this week.

     Zack got that mess cleaned up while Toots got herself cleaned up.  Such a good husband.  Then I sent them to bed to hopefully keep them safe!  

     The next day, their daughter Zakki was visiting along with one of her beaus.  She hadn't settled on one yet as she left university but it looks like she's made up her mind!  

     She and Issac Wolosenko look like they are making the love connection!  Is it too soon to be planning the wedding?  I can't wait to get to her lot now and see what's going on in her panels!

     Cassie stopped by later also and I had her help with some repair work we needed done.  I don't trust the robots around the water.  We've had some.... issues.  

     But Zinc still wants to help.  And today is the day we found out that Issac isn't shy.  I guess when you got to poo,  you got to poo.  But the bathroom got really crowded somehow.  There was a line outside the bathroom, notice the feet past the door.  There's several other bathrooms available.  I'll never understand Sims. 

      Also, after playing in my old Legacyville neighborhood and being spoiled by the water wigglers every house seems to have... I totally forgot we have to still bathe pets the old fashioned way here in the Cove.  So... mental note:  I need to find me an arts and crafty Sim to be a toy maker!  Four dogs was a lot to bathe!

     We're having a hitch in Zakki's choice of boyfriend.  He and Toots seem to be slow in getting friendly.  Isaac seems to be immune to Toots' charm but we aren't giving up.  We have resources to help!  I stuck them in the hot tub, along with Zakki and Zavoy also.  We're still slowly making progress. 

     Toots had another big moment, as she reached 20 BFFs!  Congrats, Toots, and thanks to Julie Jaz for being our 20th BFF!

     Zinc no longer lives here on the lot but we invite him over almost every day to help with the chores.  Especially now that Zack and Toots have hit their elder years.  He's a much better robot now that he's not living here and constantly finds things to fix.  And Toots needs that piano!  Good job, Zinc!

     Then, when I wasn't looking, when I wasn't ready... Grim took Avery!  My little scrawny schnoodle.  She was the sweetest thing!  I am never ready, even when I notice it's time.  And I didn't even notice that today was the day.  The dogs howled my grief for me.  

Acapella, Amma, Amos

     Toots worked through her grief at the bar, as any good popularity sim would do.  And as any good Music & Dance sim would do, she worked through that grief on an instrument.  Walter and Yardley joined in.  They actually sounded pretty great, it was an impressive show!  

      But then Yardley went out to investigate a tree fire outside.... He's one of the only two doctors in town, I need to do a better job of keeping him safe!!

     The next day we had another paper thief.  This time, my sister Teressa Bowcrafter!  

     And as the ghosts start to drift around, we're going to close down this week!  Hope you enjoyed our new bar and the Lifestyles of the Rich and Elderly!

On Campus

     We have a lot going on over on campus.  Zakki and Walter are juniors.  Xavian, Xayden, and Zavoy are new freshmen.  By the end of this update, Zakki and Walter will graduate and head back to the main 'hood.  It feels way too soon!

     Five students is a lot to juggle.  It's going to get worse before it gets better.  While we have the two due to graduate, there's several teens in the Cove that will be headed this way next week!  It may even be time to build new housing.  They'll have money aplenty, there's still inheritance rolling in from the deaths of the generation 3 elders.  

      The singles of Legacy Cove were invited over to mingle.  The fights started almost immediately.  

     Yup, that's me and my sister, Teressa Bowcrafter.  At least I won.  Oh, but we weren't done.  Here we go again. 

     Then Zakki and Noelle Garth had a bit of a spat.  Over what?  Who even knows.  This is out of control.  

     All isn't lost!  We are making some good connections, like Xavian and Morrdredd Montana here!  Morrdy is a friend from my EQ2 gaming time.  We do have a lack of redheads in the gene pool so I'm only encouraging this!

     Xayden spent his time on other hobbies.  Such a good boy.  Maxing out his sports hobby!  

     We made it through our first semester.  One down, 3 to go.  

     Xavian had to keep up with his twin brother and maxed out his love for music and dance in his dreams.  Literally! 

     Well-Check on Polly!  Er...... maybe we'll check back in with her later.  

     While most of the kids are making some good progress on future spouses, Zavoy isn't gravitating to that one special sim.  He's still feeling out his romancing nature and has been flirting with many of the university townies.  

      And before we know it, second semester is over!  We're halfway there!

     Xavian is still wooing Morrdredd whenever we bring her onto the lot.  They are going to have to learn to spend more time indoors because I turn my back and trust them for 5 minutes.... And they get sunburnt.  

     She's a redhead, you really think she'd know to be more careful.  

     I started a trend of having the kids paint portraits of each other and placing their portrait in their own dorm room.  Yes, my students are spoiled and each has their own room.  Anyway.  We've got Walter's picture up!  That's Xane Centowski and Yardley Panda that have used this room previously. 

     Zavoy was our next heatstroke victim.  These kids, they just think they are immortal.  

     He survived to head off to his next round of finals!  Three down, one more to go!  

     I realized with one semester left, several of these sims still hadn't found a sim to commit their lives too.  So we resumed the heavy socializing.  Havoc returns...  It started out peaceful.  Zakki is torn between Isaac Wolosenko (from Legacyville) and Anthony Pressto (another EQ2 crossover).  She seems to gravitate towards Isaac here pretty often.  

     We've had to use the hottub to help keep some of the fights at bay.  Zavoy also likes seeing everyone in their bathing suits.  Lisa and Bobbi had to do some relationship repair.  Really, Twinks?  Can't we all get along!

     Zavoy decided he wants to woohoo with a few different sims before settling down but he seems to be getting a bit too serious here.  Or, at least she is.  She seems to be catching some feelings!  

     Julie Jaz has been here so much and so long that she's falling asleep in her food.  

      And what's a university update without the train set catching on fire?  And Kate's butt!  Help her, Jenn!

      Fear not, Kate's butt was extinguished and the last set of finals for this update rolled around.  Whew.  

     We're sending Zakki and Walter back to the Cove!  Zakki is striking out on her own as Zavoy is the designated heir, but Walter is the only child of his house so the future of his line is all up to him.  He'll be returning to his childhood home to inherit the family goodies eventually.  

     Now, quickly!  Back to Legacy Cove before another fire breaks out!!
