TS2 - Legacy Cove - Week 23

     When we left the Lind household, there was the threat of a pandemic in Legacy Cove.  This seems to mainly affect the Panda line, so hopefully the Centowski and Archer clans are unscathed.  It's time to peek into one of the Centowski families to see how they fair.  We're heading to the home of Xavier and Lindsay, with Uri still being away at university.

     So, first thing of importance.  Xavier and Lindsay are SAFE.  They are not sick.  So I had Uri come in for a visit.  He seems to be healthy as well.  No coughing and not passing infection on to his parents.  WHEW!

     So I buckled them down for a quiet week.  Minimal socializing, lots of phone calls, and they had plenty of gardening to do.  Both Xavier and Lindsay have the big "E" birthday coming up towards the end of the week, so I figured we'd feel that out when we get there.  

     Enter Elle Butler.  

     How DARE she creep onto my fortune Sims' lot during a pandemic!  How DARE she make me realize I forgot to put an alarm system on their house!  UGH.  

     Lady Luck smiled down on the Centowskis.  Elle Butler touched nothing inside, only turned around and crept out to the cars.  Which ARE alarmed.  

     Get away from Xavier's truck!  

     Okay, smart ass... STAY AWAY FROM LINDSAY'S CAR!   Fortunately, Officer Gonzaga arrived and I let out a small breath of relief.  But this isn't over yet!  

OH NO!

BEHIND YOU!

     She did it!  Officer Gonzaga took down the burglar!  The WHOLE breath of relief has been released.  I have a feeling though Elle Butler is going to be released soon also.  Do we even HAVE a jail here in Legacy Cove?  

      And what did Xavier and Lindsay do as Officer Gonzaga drove the burglar away?  A pillow fight.  I just can't even. 

     Well this was a great birthday present.  The next evening was Xavier's birthday.  Cautiously, we invited over the rest of the Centowski clan, household by household.  I was worried mostly about Xander as he was at ground zero until I had Fletcher chase him out.  But everything looks good!  So onwards we go!  

     Congrats, Xavier!  I started to make him look more grandpa'ish, but I just couldn't.  He and Xander have had the same hair since toddlers I think.  

     Speaking of Xander...  Sometimes I wonder how Xavier is so much further ahead than his twin.  Then their investment totals pop up.  Having two fortune sims in the house can be profitable!

     Xavier still likes to take his hikes with Louie (his dalmation).  Usually it's uneventful or maybe a nifty trinket.  But he is joining the "Chased By Bees" club.  

     Then on Sunday it's time for our second birthday of the week.  Lindsay's turn!

     Oh, her achin' back!  She spun up so colorful that I didn't even recognize her at first.  Don't worry, the makeover neutralized her!  Please enjoy some pizza while you wait.  

     And now may I present to you, the older and wiser Lindsay!  I did change her hair to a more matronly style and I'm excited for her to be a grandma soon when Uri gets back home!

     Well, that's quite enough for one summer!  A burglar, two birthdays, and we're wiped out.  Good night and sleep tight!

     And now, live from Legacy Cove.... The Lind family!  Well, the second Lind household.  This one is home to Yamaris, Fletcher, and just Vamaris while Vincent is away at university.  But Vamaris will be joining in very shortly!  Let's just jump into the re-introduction.

     When I said above that Vama will be joining her brother in university shortly, I meant it!  Monday Vama graduated from high school and she's the last of our generation four Sims to head off to college!

     Here's a quick peek at young-adult Vamaris.  

     With no kids at home, normally it's a "what do we do now" situation for the adults left at home.  Not so with the Panda clan!  Add in Fletcher's family (Frazier, Zoey, Walter, and Julie) and it's a full house almost every day!  Usually they are a good, moral family.. but they do tend to gossip!

      What could Xayden have possibly done to have these older ladies gossiping about him?

      Anyway, if we don't invite 'em, they just show up.  That's why the neighborhood has had a huge problem since Fletcher came home from work with a cold.... I tried to quarantine him.  But it was too late.  I didn't realize how far-spread the illness had already become!  

     Meanwhile, Yamaris's birthday was right around the corner.  I have been a bit bored with my Sims game, and spent some time on another downloading spree.  Lots of new clothes, new hair, and changing the bins of close and hair so they are more 'correct' for my game.  

     But I was still antsy.   So I built Yamaris a birthday present.  A little backyard oasis!  

     I wasn't really sure about it at first but it's turned out nicely and I'm super happy with it!  

     So now, it's birthday time and this is ground zero for Legacy Cove's pandemic due to my ignorance.  

"Someone please take this pizza?"

     It really humored me to see Yamaris turn her back to her family and friends while she did her spin and changed clothes.  Modesty is rare in a sim!

     I was very pleased with how quickly everyone took to using the new patio oasis, too!

     Here's a few other pictures from the big bash.  By the way, all of these sims have the cold now.

     So, that was our Saturday.  On Sunday, it's family reunion day.  I tried to do some damage control but this is escalating quickly.  

     Fletcher was put to work in the kitchen, trying to churn out Grandma's Chicken Soup.  I've had a pandemic in the game bad enough once that I used cheats to make the non-playable sims selectable and had them eat the soup but I'm being stubborn this time and trying to do this a little more... naturally?  So the soup sat for long periods.  Whenever a Sim ate though and I got the pop up, I had Yamaris or Fletcher tell them goodbye so they weren't re-infected.  This ended up with Yamaris catching the cold twice on Sunday.  

     Speaking of... here is our newest elder after her make-over!

     She then spent Sunday night fixing her sink.  What is it with all of the sinks breaking lately?  

     In any case, I think far more Sims are sick than are well.  

     It's going to be a LONG summer, now..
