 TS2 - Legacy Cove - Week 25

4 Bamboo Blvd

     New neighbor alert!  Vamaris Lind just moved to Bamboo Boulevard with her dog Ying!  She's freshly graduated from Uni and we can't beat around the bush.  She's a Fortune Sim, she comes with money, connections, and determination.  She's also got a lot of goals to accomplish this week.  Let's get her introduction out of the way.

GOAL 1:  Move in Caden

     

     This really shouldn't be so hard, as we've seen how tight these two have been at all the family gatherings the past week.  But first, let's get Caden over here.  

     Smooth sailing so far, and thank you for your financial contribution, Caden!  Along with the assets in both of your inventories, getting your house started will be a cinch.  Let's officially meet Caden first.

     Then Caden dropped a nice little surprise on me and our little Fortune girl.  What in the devil? 

     He's been waiting all this time to be awarded money from our neighborhood founder Zane Archer.  I'll be!  It's not much but every little bit adds up.  So let's move on to the next goal. 

GOAL 2:  VAMA NEEDS A HOUSE

     With both Vama's starting cash, Caden's contribution upon moving in, selling a few things in the inventories, the small inheritance....... little paint here, couple more nails there..... VIOLA!  

     Not a bit too shabby!!!  But now they need STUFF.  Let's get crackin' on the decorations!  (This tends to be where the expenses add up quicker!)

     And we got ourselves a house!  Looking nice, Vama!  Looking really nice!  And now she and Caden get to go to sleep together for the first time in their new home!  

GOAL 3:  ENGAGEMENT

     Not a problem, we did so much of the groundwork for this while Vama was in university.  Done!  

Goal 4:  Job in the Law Career Track

     I swear, is this girl wearing anyone else out?  I thought Zoey Archer Lind was ambitious.  Well, the Sim Gods favor Vama.  All the other Generation 4 kids had to wait and beg for their dream careers.  I almost missed it for Vama.  I completely missed getting a screen shot.  The very first career that came up when I sent her to the computer to search was for her Law career.  I was totally ready to spend the whole week growling at this game.  I clicked like I'd never see this job again.  

     So off she goes now for her first day of work as an International Corporate Lawyer. 

     And here she is coming home with a promotion to Entertainment Attorney!  Honestly, who did not see that coming?

Goal 5:  MARRIAGE

     Going to the chapel and we're gonna get married....

     Whew.  Do you even know what day it is?  IT'S TUESDAY.  IT IS TUESDAY.   This girl has accomplished 5 major goals and gotten a promotion in 2 days and I'm still in my pajamas playing video games.  

     Eh.  Anyway, meanwhile, I've been on a side quest to discover Caden's 'One True Hobby'.  And BINGO.  

     And now, their first night sleeping together as a married couple.  Aww. 

     

GOAL 6:  Baby or Bust

     Week 26 is going to bring teenagers.  So babies are now or never.  There's a few pregnant Sims in the 'hood but pretty much they are all being cut off.  Controlling, maybe.  But I like nice, clean generational divides.  Makes it easier to 'inbreed' as they'll begin doing with this new generation.  Luckily, Vama and Caden were totally on board.  Their time in the photo booth during their wedding was not time wasted.  

     Caden isn't much of a cook.  He's got 3 cooking skill points.  I don't trust him not to burn down the kitchen. But the man does know his way around a delivery or two.  We might get to see a lot of Brittany Futa this week.  The important thing here is that he's trying and he's feeding his baby. 

     But Vamaris is one of those freakishly easy pregnancy Sims.  A little extra nap here and there.  She's all green and happy.  Like being pregnant is just the most fantastic thing ever.  

     Friday evening, our newest addition to Legacy Cove arrived!  

     Quenten Chauncellor made his arrival Friday evening at 10:39pm.  He has black hair and his daddy's eyes.  "Friday's Child is Loving and Giving".  Perfect for a winter baby born by the Christmas tree!

     Finally!  All goals but one have been met, and the last one will have to wait.  That would be her LTW to be the Law and she doesn't work any more days this week.  

     Now, I know, I know, we are all exhausted.  What a week!  But I just can not wait for a whole rotation for this little guy to grow up.  Plus, I need to speed up these last few babies at the tail end of Generation 5.  So after 6pm on Sunday when he became eligible to grow up, I had Quenten's toddler birthday!  

     I'll be darned if this kid just doesn't know what's up.  He knows exactly what house he's growing up in!  

     So to close up our week, here is lil' Quenten.

     He's adorable!  But where is his nose?  Hopefully that grows in!  I also don't know how he already flagged for music and dance as his hobby but it's fine.  There's a LOT of music & dance hobbyists out there in the neighborhood right now though.  I'm going to have to work with that.  

So there!  We are DONE!  Vamaris is officially the Generation 4 over-achiever!

     Hi ho!  Welcome to Xayden Centowski's bachelor pad!  He's living solo, not even a pet still to keep him company.  So this should be a quick run through.  I've said that before and been wrong though.  We'll see how I do here!

     After two very long weeks of not being able to find a job in the business career, Xayden finally landed a job as the Vice President last Sunday.  He's off to his very first day of work today!

     He's so cute all dressed up and nervous for his first day.  But it all worked out for him because he came home from his first day already promoted to President!

     Monday night he had his parents over to celebrate.  Then on Tuesday, he was off work and invited over his twin brother Xavian, sister-in-law Morrdredd, and his niece Xyla.  After watching him gravitate to his niece ALL WEEK, one would think their relationship score is 100/100 by now.  My jaw dropped when I saw the top score was only 60.  HOW?   Well, anyway, he fixed that right up!  

     He's such a great Uncle.  He really loves this kid!  And Xayden is also excelling at his new job and got yet another promotion Wednesday!  

     Wednesday night brought in a big snowstorm but that didn't slow him down from going to work Friday!  The house is totally cute in the snow, or I'd have skipped this picture to keep this shorter.  

     The powers-that-be like the work ethic and granted him his long-coveted title of Business Tycoon.  This has been a crazy whirlwind after job hunting for two weeks!  

     Thursday brought his uncle Xander, aunt Cassie, and cousin Treva and her husband Soupy to visit.  Kate also stopped by and played some basketball with Cassie.  It got a little heated, but a good time seemed to be had by all.  

     And now... Finally... His house is being updated.  He's been living almost loft-style with his bed, office, kitchen, dining room, etc all being one big room.  Only the bathroom and garage were separated.  But NOW....

     Xayden's new and improved, fancier bachelor pad!  Let me show you around the place.

     I still need to work out another bathroom.  I keep the master bedrooms and bathrooms locked for household only, just in case.  But he has such a big family that the one bathroom on the main floor is not quite cutting it.  There's definitely room to add it in, I'm still just working out the best spot in my head.  Oh, I HAD a floorplan mapped out in my head but the roof wasn't cooperating.  So I had to make some adjustments and lost the extra guest bathroom.  

     The new layout was put to the test over the weekend.  Friday night, all of the Generation 4 fellas were invited over for a Guys Night.  

     Ahem... Xerva the bot isn't a male, but she's there for cleaning and repair purposes.  All those guys and some pizza can do some damage on that single toilet.  

     Saturday all of the sports hobbyists were invited over to watch the game and play some basketball out back.  

     And finally we come to Sunday, "Family Dinner" day!  Let's pack in some Centowskis!!

     Overall, a successful and eventful week for our Xayden!  New job, promotions all the way up to his Lifetime Want, house expansion, parties, and lots and lots of family!  

     The next update will be with Vamaris as she starts her own household.  With building a house, Fortune Sim stuff, and needing to jump on the baby train before it leaves the station, she'll be a much busier bee!
