     One last house in Legacy Cove, but there's still a stop after this one to see our new University students!  I'm so excited to see the next generation really grow up, but before we head to the uni campus it's time to see what the Chauncellors have up their sleeves.  

     The Chauncellors are connected to both the Lind and Panda families, but as Vamaris is the younger of the Lind siblings (generation 4) we'll be focusing more on that branch of their family.  

     And I tell ya... I never would have predicted some of the events that happened here this week.  To think just before their lives were shook up, I was trying to think of ways to break some of the monotony I had going on in this neighborhood...  Then these twerps did just that for me!

     Now, let's begin!

Monday.  

I'm sitting here staring at this wreck of a floor plan for their second floor.  And I'm an idiot and didn't take a picture until I started trying to fix it.  Talk about a WRECK at this point.  

Yes, stairs leading to the bathroom!  What?

It took me a while, but I finally tweaked it into a smoother flow.  I feel much better about their house!

It's a big improvement on the main level too.  The stairs used to jut out a bit into the living room area, but now everything's squared away nice and neat.

I adjusted their net worth back to about where it was before I started meddling, but hey!  I'll take some inheritance money to do some decorating and maybe start filling some empty rooms!

Thanks to Uncle Yung Panda, Uncle Frazier Lind, and Vamaris's father Fletcher for having the Chauncellors in their wills.

Once everyone's off to work and school, there's not much to do but watch Ying play with her puppy, Cheng. 

How are these dogs so dang cute in this game?  I love them!

Then, SURPRISE!

It's Cheng's birthday!  Welcome to adult hood, lil lady!

She's got an interesting mix of her parent's brown and grey coats.

I'm honestly really excited over it.  This game's genetics, what won't it do!

Quentin started the training on Cheng when he got home from school.  

He was interrupted before Cheng learned "Come Here", and I think Vama will finish it up.  She's spun a want to be Cheng's master. 

I intended Cheng to be Quentin's but with him going to college next week and Ying passing on soon.. Vama's she shall be.

Vama's mama Yamaris visited.

Yamaris is inevitably going to pass over to Grim Isles next week so I'm making sure they get in all the hugs they can before then.

Ho-ho, another birthday girl!

This time Ying is making the step up to elder.  It's way overdue.  She's had lots of Kibble of Life

I did some work on their front porch today.  Their house is really shaping up to be a show stopper!

Vama's brother Big Vincent, along with his wife Ceera, and their kids Little Vincent, Vera, and Valerie were guests today.  But they said nothing about how nice the house looks.

Hun Pai is absolutely the dog whisperer.

So many neighborhoods, the dogs are chasing the mail carriers.  But Hun is the only mailman for Legacy Cove and all the dogs love him.  

There's gotta be a reason, and one day I'll get curious enough to figure it out.  Maybe he's got high points in being nice?

Vama had the day off today, so her BFF Treva came over to spend some time with her.

I figured the two of them being gamer geeks, they'd spend the afternoon playing chess or something.

But buckle up.

Quentin came home from school first, bringing my nephew Lucian with him.   

Lucian was more interested in the older ladies than spending time with his classmate though.  

Silly, Lucian.  Vama and Caden are 3 bolts and stalker crazy for each other.  

Caden arrives home, bringing his coworker Percival with him.

Meanwhile, I had Quentin invite the Headmaster over for his Private School interview.

Someone promptly clogged the toilet, and here Quentin is plunging the toilet like his life depends on it, finally fixes it, turns with such a proud look....

and I hear a terrible, terrible noise.  One that isn't common in my game.

*BOOINNNGGGGGINNNNGGGG*  

EX! CUSE! ME!????

What even happened?  

WHAT EVEN HAPPENED???

I thought at first it must have been Treva, but neither have any same-sex attraction.  And actually, I'm pretty sure the extended family mod has them see each other as family since they are distant cousins.

THE HEADMASTER WILL BE HERE IN 7 MINUTES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With PERCIVAL??

What did they even do?  

This is insanity.

First things first, GOOD BYE PERCIVAL.

Don't wave, you need to run.

I let Treva stay because Wright knows we might need a witness around here.

Now she just raking leaves like she's not wrecked her family with the Headmaster right there on her doorstep.

Right now I'm just praying please, please, y'all hold it together and get your son into private school.  

Oh, great.  Its started raining.  This is so freaking ominous.  Thunder.  Yep.  Great.

Caden's thankfully putting his emotions into music.  Just don't be violent with the piano, buddy.  That was Quentin's birthday gift.

I'm not totally sure how he got schmooze points while asking the Headmaster if he wants a tour of the house, but I don't think I should question it too much.  

It's been a while since I've been this nervous for a Headmaster visit.

The seating arrangement here feels odd to me.  But everyone's at the table being civil.

I had Vamaris drink some strawberry juice to clear her furious state.  I should have done the same with Caden but sometimes I'm a dummy.

Vamaris doesn't cook often so I hope she didn't mess up these pork chops.

Aww, what a good friend.  Treva's out there in the dark finishing up raking the leaves.  

(Treva:  Hell no, it's safer out here.  And I've still got a great view through the window!)

Holy moly, what a day.

Vamaris is apologizing.

I still have no clue how Vamaris and Percival had an affair with their whopping 14 relationship points.  

Caden seemed receptive to the apologies.

He still refused to sleep in the same bed with her though.

He needs that strawberry juice.  Sounds like a great breakfast for the morning.

I just bought a bed to put in one of the empty rooms and that's good enough for now.  I'm exhausted!

THANKSGIVING

I had to keep Vamaris and Caden busy so they wouldn't go to work.  It's THANKSGIVING!  Feels weird to say when it's actually February now in the real world.

Anyhoo, Vama finished up teaching Cheng to "come here" and then helped Caden finish up with the lawn care.  

Yardwork finished, Caden had to get his first dose of strawberry juice to help clear up his furious feelings towards Vama.

Quentin did go on to school today, because they don't have vacation days there.  Even at private school.

Sheesh.

I'm gonna do it.  I'm going to pick one.

Honestly, I don't know if they can get kicked out of private school from a chance card but with the week we are having here... I was afraid!

Things turned out A-okay.

Except...

This is day 2 that there seems to be a glitch regarding the school bus.  Quentin gets off the bus, straightens up, and no homework, and NO FRIEND.  

Hmm.  I might have to force some errors.  But he's not getting dinged for not doing his homework because it never exists so we'll see how much effort I put in to fixing this.  🤔

Then I forgot to take pictures of the Lind family Thanksgiving except for the pic above of Uncle Walter tickling Quentin and this picture of his acne that just doesn't want to clear up.

Done the showers, done the acne cream in the mirror.  OUT, OUT, YE DAMN SPOT!

They have bones in the yard to chew, each dog has it's own doghouse PLUS there's pet beds inside, there's food available...

Day 3 of the bus/homework glitch.  

Quentin steps off the bus, reaches around for his homework then.... Poof!  He straightens up, no homework, bus disappears, and this is where the friend spawns (same place my nephew spawned on Wednesday).  No errors pop up when I enable testingcheats... Hmm.

Well, TGIF!

Friday is cousins day, and...

Oh.  I forgot before Little Vincent had his summer romance (heh heh) with Xyla that he had been interested in my niece Kylie (Quentin's school friend if you didn't catch that on the screenshot above).

Oh, snap!  

I think I'm going to have to make Little Vincent's secondary aspiration "romance".  

Xyla left for University but he's not missing a beat picking up where he left off with Kylie!

Awww, how cute is that.

I don't know if I'm ready for Kylie to grow up from being a teen townie yet, but I'll investigate their relationship more the next time I play Little Vincent's household.

We've had this couch 12 hours.  Cheng is so lucky that she didn't totally destroy it.

What is with the dogs and our poor couch today?

"Caden has brought a friend home..."

I actually laughed, but not a funny "hahahah" type of laugh.  A derisive scoff, if you will.

Oh, yes, sure Caden.  Forgive and forget.  Hug the man that your wife "cheated" on you with as you tell him goodbye.  

I should ban Percival from the lot.

I still have no clue what happened between him and Vama to make Caden think she cheated on him.

My normal view as I'm playing faces the back of this couch.  I saw Valerie and Kylie sitting here and though, "Aww, they're going to be frien... Oh noooo...  What is that face?"

Kylie is turning into a dragon or something.  Run Valerie, run!

Okay, big day.  

New couch.  New extended driveway.  NEW CAR!  

I tried to build a car port beside the house but it just wasn't happening.  I had come across a cheat that would allow foundation and non-foundation building connect but I've lost it.  If anyone knows it, please share!

What I've learned this week is that even with the most stalkerish 3-bolt relationship, it needs to be watered and tended.

So Caden & Vama left the kids at home with a pizza and a piano, and off they went in the new car to the Legacy.

They danced a lot, it was cute!

Guys.  I think this is Caden's sexy face.

Oh wow.

They stopped dancing for a few moments, then started again and here he goes.  One eyebrow up and he's biting his lip.

He's a popularity Sim, no secondary.  So either he's failing at "Sexy Face 101" or he's really concentrating on his moves.

I think they are gonna survive the scandal!  I'm so happy!  

It's a love story, baby.  Caden is going to write so many songs about this week.  He's a musician by night, if you didn't know.  A doctor by day, drummer by night.  

Listen.  Or actually, don't listen.  This band is really terrible.

Sorry to my nephew Chase on the drums over there, but y'all an earsore.

It's about midnight here so time for the middle-aged parents to head home.  They are really hungry anyway and there's no food here but leftover pork chops at home.  Byeeeee.

SATURDAY

Well, this week is just wearing me out.  But it's Saturday and that's almost always the day earmarked for the "teen hangout".  Seeing as how half or more of these teens will be in college by this time next week, it's party time!  Tired or not, let's teleport some teenagers over to socialize!

Xora and Quentin still have the hots for each other, even if I haven't had them spend a lot of time together this week.

Xora's a little romancing vixen for sure, and I'm honestly not sure if she's tipping Quentin for his piano playing or kissing skills.

I'ma move on.

The sidewalk has been the hotspot all day.  The teleporter is right there just beside the bush to the right, but there's other places to .. literally.. hang out around the house!  

Whatever makes their weird little hearts happy.

Food is always a motivator to shuffle the little cliques around.

Instead of the buffet though, I got totally crazy and had Vamaris and Caden cook sandwiches, spaghetti, and mac & cheese through the day.

I'm happy to report there wasn't a single complaint.

I guess Shayla is missing her boyfriend Rocco.  He just left to join Zaryn, Xyla, and Winifred at university.  That'll be our first freshman class.  

Shayla does pitch in a lot with cleaning and yardwork though.  Maybe she's just a great kid!  

Probably a mix of both options.

SUNDAY

I've skipped the Sunday "Family Dinner" thing a few times in other houses since I had everyone celebrate Thanksgiving.  But what the hey, let's have a second Thanksgiving.

Caden was outside having a pillow fight or water balloon fight with Julie, when *Dink!* he's maxed enthusiasm for music and dance.

How he maxed music and dance while running around is a mystery.

Just as it's a mystery to me how Quentin has almost zero genetic similarities to Grandma Yamaris.  

Maybe the eyebrows?  He seems to have inherited most of his features from his dad.

The Lind family is composed mostly of three households.  Not counting their extended family connection with the Pandas.

Lind household 1:  Zoey, Walter, Julie, Winifred, and Wendolyn

Lind household 2:  Yamaris, Big Vincent, Ceera, Little Vincent, Vera, and Valerie

Chauncellor household:  Vamaris, Caden, and Quentin.

Vama had to work today.  I was considering having her play hooky again (I had her stay on Thursday for Thanksgiving), but she slipped off to the carpool when I was distracted.  Tricky fortune Sim!

When she got home, she wanted to serve food.  Too late!  I'd already served the buffet.  So she made a cake.  Then wanted to eat cake!  Done, done, and DONE!

Sunday nights can be kind of busy.  With wrapping up the family gathering, changing the season, making sure things are cleaned up and ready for the next week.. 

I love a Sim that pitches in without having to even ask!  Ceera cleaned all those stinky doghouses!

     And all of you, too!  Come on back soon, I'll be heading off next to the university to get the first 4 students of generation 5 settled in.  AHH!  THEY GROW UP SO QUICKLY!  I'm really excited to see how they manage this major transition period between teenagers and adults ready to start their own families.  

     I hope there's a few that are interested in becoming doctors.  Dr Yung Panda retired earlier this week leaving Caden as the only neighborhood doctor.  I think though he might like to retire early and play in a band over at the Legacy.  Vama makes enough as The Law to pay all their bills.  I guess I'll have to see what the future holds for these guys.  

     Now, off to the University!
