TS2 - Legacy Cove
Week 26
1001 Centowski Street
Spring may have arrived in Legacy Cove, but it's been a chilly week at the first Centowski house on the list. No rain, no storms, just little bits of snow and temperatures to make you bundle up and shiver. I hate how this game resembles real life sometimes! Been a cold week here in real life as well. Let me get this blog moving so I can move on to the next household and hopefully see some sunshine and warmth!

Teddy, Flopsy, Linden
Monday started out nice, even if there was a lot going on. Morrdy stayed home from work (oops, I missed the carpool but she has 6 vacation days thanks to giving birth twice). She spent the time working on the toy bench, and though she hasn't gotten her gold toymaking badge she did still manage to max her arts and crafts enthusiasm!
We're way past due for the water wiggler. Everyone's dogs need bathed way too often.
Monday may have started out nice, but Monday night was a different story. The ghost of Zayna was not feeling friendly.
Tuesday again started off strong, with Teddy snuggles! Don't let this dog fool you, he chooses to come in and get attention from Xora and often just hangs out while she's sleeping!
Xyla also brought home an A+ report card. She and Morrdy get home at the same time since Morrdredd is a elementary school teacher.
Though Xora was already light up for Music and Dance, it was confirmed while her daddy Xavian taught her nursery rhymes. I'm thinking she just may be a violinist like her dad!
Deb headed into the diner to check things out there. She hired a new girl, Laiyya after Daphne quit. We had to check all the girls' pay and give a few raises after that.
Flopsy's birthday was Wednesday and I was so excited to see what she'd look like as an adult that I was stalking her even while she was sleeping.
I had to take a break from waiting for Flopsy to wake up when I heard the sentry bot activating. Frazier! Why are you kicking over their trash can!!?? And Teddy is obviously no guard dog. Just sat in the window and ignored the whole thing.
Turns out both Teddy and Linden were just chilling in the nursery with Xora. We've got nanny dogs, not guard dogs it seems!
Oh! Flopsy is awake! It's poof time! She looks pretty much like her brother Flint, so I guess when we get to their 3rd sibling Fleur she'll look like the other two. Momma/Princess Peach was light grey while dad/Fenway is the dark grey they all seem to have inherited.
Over in the garage, Morrdredd's hours of hard work are slowly paying off. We've made it to the silver badge level of toymaking! Kites and Twirl N' Wobbles now.
On Thursday, the trash can is kicked over AGAIN, this time by Tyson. Rude! After I retired you from the life of a maid and you get to pursue your dreams, and this is the thanks we all get.
Deb and I popped back over to the diner. I actually had a lot of fun with Deb this week, and the diner may not be making a lot of money but it's doing well enough that she has two shifts of 3 girls working for her. One as the hostess and two servers, while Deb cooks and does the annoying "Can I help you" sales talks.
And look, my sister Melissa Mac came in! Glad to see she's getting to know the town.
(Rank 6!)
(That's my dad, Griz, in the blue)
(I laughed because he does that grumpy old man look IRL, too!)
Spring did finally show it's face, if only a small glimpse. Not just the weather is chilly, but there's been a lack of romantic wants which is what I thought spring brought along with rain and flowers?
Deb also surprised me by taking a big interest in Flopsy, starting when she was still a puppy. I wasn't decided on who should be 'Master' of our new pup, but Deb and Flopsy made the decision for us. So I sent Deb out to teach Flopsy to come when called. She had to go buy a pink collar, too!
Then Thursday evening was Xora's birthday party. She was a pretty easy, low-key toddler, but I'm hoping she grows into those cheekbones!
(definitely Daddy's girl!)
Oh yeah, she's still got some odd cheekbones but it's smoothing out. The hair kind of hides it, but the upper parts of her cheeks stuck out through some of the hair styles. I found one that worked for her though!
Xora is a very serious girl. That's probably why she was so easy as a toddler. Genetically, her mouth is turned down but with having only one solo point in the serious/playful trait, she doesn't smile as much as some of the other Sims.
On Friday, a hobby-related chance card came up for Morrdredd. She doesn't care to work, her LTW is to raise 20 puppies or kittens (same as Deb, but it's a hard no from me, dawgs). So what the heck, let's give it a whirl.
What the heck, she's a school teacher! Ugh. I'm sure she'll be promoted back on Monday or Tuesday. I might have her just use up her vacation days and then quit so she can do the toy thing as a job.
She wasn't really upset over it, but I gave her some space anyway. Back to the diner with Deb! She hired another new girl, Sheridan....
It wasn't all tossed salads and complaints though. Nicki Lee, the hostess on this team, got a sales badge. And later, the diner got up to Rank 7!
Meanwhile, back on the ranch...
The girls both brought home a friend after school on Friday! They also both keep rolling up wants for A+'s and to do their homework every day. If they don't roll for knowledge as teens then I'll have to make it their secondary.
Xora went out to shoot hoops after she watched Yorwyck by their basketball court in the backyard. And got a body skill! Along with her precious energy draining rapidly.
Later that night, Xyla discovered one of the kites that her mom had made. It's nighttime, but why not.
I adore Teddy, and in all honesty, he should have reached the end of his lifespan already. I keep slipping him (and his sister Teeny over at Xander's house) the Kibble of Life. But to ease the loss that I'm sure to expect next week, I decided a Teddy II would be perfect. Time for the doghouse whoohoo!
I guess Trevor wasn't a fan. Very lucky that Morrdy had just taken care of her bladder need and a bubble bath to bring up her comfort (the toy bench sucks that comfort need dry). So no puddles... this time.
Even on Saturday, the girls are rolling up their studious wants. If it's not homework and straight A's, then they want something to do with the dogs.
They did a few hours of studying in the morning, but at noon the other kids came over for their playdate! Current kids in the neighborhood are Zyler Archer, Yoren & Yorwyck Deppiesse, Winifred Lind, and Rocco Wolosenko. Along with Xyla and Xora, of course!
But not for long with Xyla! Her birthday is Sunday! I'd say she's pretty excited, though Deb keeps hinting that we should keep them as kids forever.
On Sunday, I was trying hard to get a pic of the girls in a hug before Xyla grew up. But I didn't have them spend enough time together before Xora grew up and they don't have the bottom relationship score. So this is the only side-by-side comparison pic I'll have. Twerps.
Okay, let's get down to birthday business!! It's still cold outside so another indoor party it is. Gather 'round, Centowski clan!
Oh, she's so cute!! She's definitely getting more pretty with each birthday! Cheeks are still poofy, but it seems to be working out okay for her.
So, our Xyla Centowski is a knowledge sim! Any suggestions on a secondary? Her lifetime want is to be Chief of Staff (confession: It was criminal mastermind and argggh I let myself have one free reroll of the LTW using the batman box).
She cleans up really well! Little touch of pink lipstick as a nod to her pink grandmother (Deb!). I couldn't decide between glasses or no glasses. So I left them on to get used to seeing her with them. If she still looks awkward then next week we'll get her some contact lenses so to speak, and ditch the glasses.
Oh, and Sunday's not over yet! I'm worn out! But Flopsy is ready to pop! With 6 Sims and 3 pets already, I knew we could expect only one puppy. And it's a girl!
Meet Dora, as in Theodora. Teddy's own little legacy, even if Dora does already look like her momma.
And with that, ladies and gents, it's time to shut this house down and hope they warm up for the summer!
Thanks for reading!
Carissa
