TS2 - Legacy Cove - Week 28 - 3001 Archer Street

 TS2 - Legacy Cove

Week 28

3001 Archer Street

     It's time to slow down just a bit with this stop at Yeva Panda's house.  Last week her oldest sister, and roommate, Yvette passed away.   So it's just Yeva and their other roommate Tyson McMillan (former maid).   Should be a short and sweet blog for the two of them.

     Should be... let's see if I can manage to be brief!

MONDAY
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Man, these pixels sure know how to break a heart.
Yvette died Sunday of last week.  It's Monday.  So just a day has passed for Yeva and she's still mourning her big sis.  I've had time to get used to Yvette not being around and this caught me off guard.
She woke up, made her bed, and then had a little cry.
Yeva has another big sis, Yamaris Lind, and she invited Yamaris's family over to visit.
I distracted Tyson with Prof Sheila courtesy of the crystal ball because he doesn't get along with everyone.
Well, Vama doesn't seem to be getting along with the ghost of Yewla either.  Sheesh.
Great, and she's peed herself.
I've brought Ytterbium the servo over, just FYI, but it never cleaned up that puddle before it left the lot at 2am.  Ugh.
What, do we have to clean everything ourselves?  What kind of girl do we think Yeva is?
It wasn't just Vama either.  Little Vincent was outright harassed by the ghost of Penny.
I've said it in every blog for this week but fall apparently REALLY makes the ghosts active.
If only the programmers had given us trick-or-treat events to go with 'em.
Seriously, HARASSED!
I need to just send everyone home at this point.  Thank Wright, Little Vincent had recently used the bathroom so he didn't add to his aunt's pee puddle.
But Vama's husband Caden did.
Ytterbium just walks right by it.  Ugh.  Do some chores!
(All of the servos live on their own tiny lots so I don't have to worry about their social scores and other non-robot stuff.  I just teleport them in when I want them!)
... I'm aggravated with these little ghosts and then they go do cute stuff like play with each other.
This game really does a number on my emotions.
TUESDAY
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Tyson was originally moved in to "retire" him from his work as a maid because at that time I liked it.  He was a good maid, friendly with all the pets, and drama-free.

He was also to be a possible love interest for Yvette.  Which in the end they were very flirty and touchy but never anything further.

He and Yeva aren't even friends.

So its time for him to move out and make his own way.

I don't think I'll turn him into a townie.  I might build him a house and let him live in the background of the Archer descendants.

Yeva's oldest brother Yung also passed away just this week, but his family was here to visit later that day and to have the pee scared out of them by the ghost pets.

Yvonne's secondary aspiration is knowledge so at least Yo-Yo the ghost cat wasn't a red memory...

Yo-Yo didn't do much scaring this week, but maybe he smelled their cat Paprika on them?

Who knows, but I'm building a pet cemetery after all this.  Yeva's lot is too small for all of these ghost pets.

I think I've already moved Yvette to the Panda family graveyard.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
WEDNESDAY
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

There was still a sibling left to invite for dinner this week.  Yeva's own twin Yardley, and of course his family as well.

Yardley's wife Kayla was out front as Fletcher Lind (their brother-in-law/Yamaris's husband) walked by.

I haven't figured out exactly what rules apply for a guest on the lot to greet a walk-by, but since Fletcher is family I didn't kick him out.

If I could kick those ghost dogs off the lot though... Grr!

Ghost Yewla was back again but at least she targeted the knowledge sim.  Kayla appreciates the aspiration points.

With the human ghosts, they'll go back to their graves if you do a "Say Goodbye -> Everyone" to a guest on the lot.  The ghost dogs care not for this trick.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
THURSDAY
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Happy Thanksgiving!

Yeva's house is a tight squeeze for the whole Panda family.  You gotta grab a seat wherever you can when it's time to eat!

(Pictured:  Quentin Chauncellor, Kayla Panda, Vera Lind)

SOOOO MANY PANDAS!!  And this isn't all of them.  The rest are crowding into the two bathrooms and stomping around because they want privacy.

Form a queue, you heathens!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
FRIDAY
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It wasn't until after I brought in all the Generation 5 cousins that I thought, "Hey, Yeva could have had a cousins night with all her Gen 3 cousins."

Spoiler alert:  That's how she's going to spend her Saturday  now!

The big news on Friday was actually Yeva's retirement!

She's never been passionate about being a Professional Party Guest, or a restaurant reviewer, or just working in general.  I don't know why we didn't do this sooner!

I'm pretty sure Yeva agrees!

Okay, what the heck.

We turn our back for one minute to make a phone call to retire and the kids start kicking a hacky sack around the living room?

Y'all were raised better!  Take that outside!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SATURDAY
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Okay, I should have seen this coming...

You may or may not remember but way, way back when Gen 3 was in Uni there was a love triangle.  Xane had dated Pearly but ultimately he married Deb and Pearly married Yung.

There were fights.  Lots of slapping.  But now, both of their spouses have passed away .. and.. well.. here they are.

I decided to just look the other way.  No harm at this point, right?

But what do I see but Xander yelling about rockets to the TV.  Or maybe he's talking to whoever's on the couch.

Every family has an Uncle Xander.  We know he's talking to himself more so than anyone else

I'm going to be so sad when Yamaris and Zoey die.  They've been best friends since they were little kids.  I don't show a lot of pictures of the two of them together, but if they are on the same lot then they aren't far from the other.

Until their husbands (looking at you here Fletcher) interrupt!

Hmm... I'm not sure what Xane and Pearly were doing but the ghost of Yeti didn't approve.

I'm not getting in the middle of any of that.  Y'all on your own.

Yeti was a busy boy.  Making up for not showing up the other nights, I suppose.

Cassie wasn't mad.

But Xavier wasn't as pleased.

Nor Ytterbium.

The cousin gathering kind of died out from here.  Pun wasn't intended but I'm leaving it.

I've got a pet graveyard built now so the ghosts' days are numbered.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SUNDAY
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Yeva, as most pleasure Sims, loves being lazy.

So Sunday was a lounge-around the house day.  She made some phone calls, played computer games, laid on the couch, ate a cheese platter...

Her idea of a good time, to wrap it up.

Oh, and I forgot until it got dark so hopefully they transferred smoothly but the ghost dogs were sent to the pet graveyard, located conveniently behind the Panda family graveyard.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
     Now Yeva will bid us adieu.  The last leaves have fallen and Ytterbium has been busy raking them up for us, but winter has set in.  Time to move on.
     Next up for us is her sister Yamaris.   Please stay tuned!
Thank you for reading!  STAY WARM!  Happy Simming!
TS2 - Legacy Cove - Week 28 - 101 Bayview Drive
 TS2 - Legacy Cove
Week 28
101 Bayview Drive
     This week wants to be dedicated to Grim, I swear.  The pendulum of life is constantly in motion, but at least it's not just taking but also giving as well.  Our first stop on Bayview Drive has taken me a while to write up as the give and take can be overwhelming to sum up in a blog but here I go finally...
Aspen & Fable
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
MONDAY
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Both Zoey and Frazier are flirting with full lifespan bars.  They got their Monday swig of elixer so just crossing my fingers that they make it through the week now!
All the more reason to keep their families coming to visit.  Zoey's nephew Zavoy and his household visited (along with Julie's friend from work, Renee Centowski).
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
TUESDAY
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Grim made his first appearance Tuesday morning to take my beloved Aspen away.
I have been so smitten with this little guy.  Luckily, at the end of last week he and Fable had a rendezvous in the dog house so we'll have some Aspen Juniors to remember him by soon.
That's a small band-aid on the loss of this little guy.
Poor Frazier.  That's his lil guy!
Aspen was born on the Legacy lot to Amma and Amos.  His littermate was Acapella who passed this week, also on Tuesday.
He leaves behind his master Frazier, his mate Fable, and unborn pups.
And a very sad Simmer (me)!
Goodbye for now, Aspen!
Make Grim give you all the treats and belly rubs you can handle while you wait for your people.
At least the kids are having a good day in school.
Congratulations Winifred!  All that music and dance enthusiasm came in handy here, I'm sure!
While everyone was preoccupied at school or mourning Aspen I did a small upgrade to their garage.
We now have cinderblock walls!  Oooh!  Ahhhh!  So fancy.
But it does look a little better than the unpainted walls.
Zoey's niece Zakki and her family (Isaac & Rocco) came by that afternoon to visit.
Isaac and Winifred are both music and dance enthusiasts.  When Isaac isn't stalking his wife, he'll be found with Winifred debating whatever musicians discuss!
Julie's time spent reading up on mechanical books and the technology section of the newspaper has finally brought her to max Tinkering enthusiasm.
And Julie, I apologize.  You are often influenced to repair things when you visit other houses.  And of course you are also in charge of all the household repairs.
Meanwhile.. in the front yard...
Ugh, why do I even bother with lightning rods?  Now everyone is going to be stinky.
This Tuesday is just never ending!
And we're not done yet!
So bittersweet that Aspen's puppies were born on the day he passed away.
Walter, PLEASE.
And no, Fable didn't have her water break under her.  She's fresh from a bath and that's her shake-off.
Walter can clean that up later!
Welcome Faroe (girl) and Faramir (boy)!
The plan is for the household to keep one and the other to go to the adoption pool.  Normally I pick by keeping whichever one has the highest relationship score with someone in the house.
Though, I'm thinking about maybe keeping both of them here.  Maybe.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
WEDNESDAY
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Don't worry, Wednesday was much quieter, with just a visit from Frazier's extended family.
Quentin stayed way too late chatting with Zoey.  She didn't mind, she loves to socialize.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
THURSDAY
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Two Fortune Sims plus a hefty bank account makes for big numbers in investing!
Happy Thanksgiving!
For the holiday, Zoey's family is visiting.  For the Sunday family dinner I'll have Frazier's family over.
I'm very thankful for the buffet table serving turkey.
Rocco is thankful for his girlfriend Shayla.
Julie is thankful for her two beautiful daughters <3
Zyler with his 0 outgoing skills would be thankful if he could just eat alone.
And I passed over Wendolyn in the picture above.
She's not thankful for the arrival of a new guest.
Grim, you are such a jerk!
Showing up on a holiday?  That's awful.
Oh, Frazier.
Oh... Frazier....
Where do I even begin?
Frazier and his twin brother Fletcher were the first of generation 8 born in the old Legacyville neighborhood.
They've been with me for so long!
This week has been so rough with Generation three leaving to the Grim Isles left and right.
Already this week we've lost Yung Panda and Deb Centowski.  Add Frazier to the fall victims of Grim.
Frazier Lind, 78 days old.
He leaves behind his wife Zoey, his son Walter (Julie), and granddaughters Winifred and Wendolyn.  He is also survived by his brother Fletcher (Yamaris), and niblings Vincent & Vamaris.
Frazier was a Hall of Famer and expected to retire this week.
His dog Aspen is waiting for him at the bridge to Grim Islands.
Speaking of Walter...
Perhaps you noticed he was missing from the crowd crying over Frazier.
That's because he's outside playing with the dog.
He's always struck me as a bit goofy.  This didn't do anything to change my mind.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
FRIDAY
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Every time there's a death, someone else in the household lets me know they are having a great week.
I don't remember this happening before but at this point it's more than a coincidence, right?
Even though she's a Fortune Sim and didn't have a want to retire, retire she did.
I had her skip work to use up her vacation days and now she can be home checking on her investments, doing financial consulting on the computer, and she does still have her business, Cove Fitness.
Well, hey, a positive memory!
And she retired early enough in the day that she received her pension for today too!  Fortune Sim victory!
It's time to pay the piper on my "We'll see" from Tuesday.  I decided against keeping both puppies and Faramir has the higher relationship scores between the two.
I think I was secretly hoping to keep Faroe but they were a one-dog house for so long that it didn't feel right to have a house full of them now.
Walter was on team Keep All The Puppies though.
He was crushed when Faroe hopped right on in the humane officer's patrol car.
It'll be alright buddy, you know pretty much everyone in the neighborhood.  You'll see her again!
Prior to the arrival of the humane officer, Walter had been looking through the telescope.
Spying on ... CASSIE?  What were you doing, Walter?  Checking on her garden and eyeing her tomatoes??
Cassie does NOT want you to look at her tomatoes ever again!
Or y'all going to rumble!
Hopefully he listens, because I'm telling you now.. Walter is a lover not a fighter.  He does work out being a fitness guy and all.  My money will still be on Cassie.
Oh man.  Violet is from Legacyville.  She was a mean girl there.  She was feisty when she made the move to Legacy Cove.  But her job at Deb's Diner seems to have been good for her and I'm hoping that continues outside of work.
PleaseNoFightsPleaseNoFightsPleaseNoFights!!!
PLEASE NO FIGHTS!
Walter, our latest peeping tom, wants a drama-free birthday party!
Time is flying by fast lately.  Generation 3 is disappearing to the Grim Isles, generation 5 is heading off to college, and with this birthday generation 4 is aging up to the elder years.
I'm not ready!
But Walter is.  I dare say he's excited.
I teleported in all of his family for the event.
I even brought in some extras, like Rocco's girlfriend Shayla, and allowed Violet to stay.
Shout out to the computer upgrades made last year for supporting this amount of Sims on a lot!
Maybe not quite on the level of the Panda gatherings, but the Linds and Archers make up a decent crowd still!
Oh man, I'm just not ready!
But Walter has been absolutely adorable his whole life so I'm sure he'll be a darling elder as well.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, WALTER!
He looks so different!
I did change his hair again.   He had a whole mop of hair growing up and it was still a bit shaggy as an adult.  But it didn't look right at all on an elder.  So his hair is trimmed up again.
He's even wearing the same shirt and still doesn't look recognizable.
In other areas of the house...
Big Vincent and Ceera are getting a bit heavy on the PDA.
Fable is watching TV with Isaac, Vera, and Zoey.
My Sim dogs don't often watch TV and I think it's just hilarious when they do.
And outside, Aspen is already out haunting and digging holes in the yard.
I keep saying I need to check on the affects of the Fall season in the game but it really does seem like the ghosts are way more active.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SATURDAY
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It seems way too soon but the pups are growing up!  That's why Faroe had to go off to the adoption pool yesterday.
Faramir seems a decent mix of his parents.  I know the differences between Aspen and Fable weren't obvious in the pictures but Fable is a big skinnier and has more white in her undercoat.
It's teen hangout day.  And I tell you what, Shayla has proven herself to be a keeper.  She's Rocco's girlfriend and has been accompanying him when he visits his Archer relatives.
She's always outside cleaning or raking leaves.  But today, she should go hang out with the other teens, you know?  ... I'll shoo her away when she's done cleaning the doghouses.
It's a big day for Winifred though too.
She got in some last minute socializing before she had to go.
She's off to Uni!
Congratulations, Winifred!
Make your family proud!
Just a last look at teenage Winifred here.   She may have her mom's eyes and hair, but she has her dad's finger guns!
I'm impressed that Walter noticed she was leaving.  He wasn't fast enough to tell her goodbye before she was loaded in the taxi though.
It's okay, she'll be back to visit and she's not going to be gone for long.
Oh geez.
Night has arrived, and so has our newest ghost.  How the heck is Frazier already out haunting?
The Fall season is cursed, I tell you!
Frazier!!!!
Do you not recognize your own son?
Maybe I should change his hairstyle back?
Oh.  Maybe Frazier was just distracting Walter so he wouldn't see his youngest daughter with Trace since they are doing stuff that results in crush and love hearts.
Nevermind.
Nope.
He's just being an asshole.
... I used to like you, Frazier.
While all of this is going on, Winifred has moved into the residential house at college.
That outfit... and why did her hairstyle stay the same but change color?
There's been enough change this week.
Winifred's shirt and hairstyle were available in the young adult wardrobe so I stuck with it.
Whew, that's enough Saturday for me!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SUNDAY
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Frazier's family came over Sunday for the family dinner and to share their memories.
Vera is hard to get close to, so Zoey cornered her for a "hang out" to get their relationship score up.
As promised, Winifred was home from college to see the family too.
Pictured; Big Vincent's back.  Ceera, Vamaris, Caden on the couch.  Winifred and Aunt Yamaris in the background.
Zoey has made it through another week.  Her twin Zack passed over the summer and she's now 80 days old.
But she'll be here when winter comes.
She's been a favorite so I'm glad she's still hanging in here!
Thank you for reading, stay warm, and Happy Simming!
