1 Bamboo Blvd

     Long time, no blog!  It gets pretty warm up in the room with the computer during the summer so playtime was in short snippets when temps in here were more agreeable.  

     Luckily, the Panda house with Pearly, Yvonne, Brandon, and the teen boys is an old hat that's easy to leave and come back to!  On the last update, during the fall, they added little Pumpkin to the family.  She was born on Thanksgiving.  Did that remind me to celebrate Christmas this week since it's winter in-game?  Not a bit.  I got distracted by the boys going off to university!  

     Let's just hop right to it before I give away all their big moments.

MONDAY

Money, money, money!  

Enough that it woke up Brandon the Fortune Sim.

Pearly just cares about her garden and her cat.  She snoozed right through their inheritance being awarded. 

Uh... wait a minute.   WAIT A MINUTE!!

She is perma-plat.  Took a sip of the Elixer of Life.  

AND DIED?

I even reloaded the whole game and watched everything very carefully.

I had installed a new stuff pack, so maybe it glitched and she just needed to have fulfilled a want to "reset" her platinum status, but she was platinum!

Oh, sheesh.  Gotta write the obit.  Ahem.

Pearly (Finn) Panda passed away on the first day of winter in Week 29.  She is preceded in death by her husband Yung Panda.  She leaves behind her only child Yvonne (Brandon) Deppiesse and her two grandsons, Yoren & Yorwyck Deppiesse.  She'll be remembered for her gardening and crazy cat that might actually be a fox (we're not sure).

Yung and Pearly also made arrangements through myself to build a new residence hall at the university campus.

The land has been purchased but nothing has been built as of yet.  That hasn't stopped the newest freshmen from starting to move in already!

I... uh.... 

Yvonne?  Brandon??  

This is pretty distasteful.  

Anyway... the urn is not a platinum one, so definitely a glitch at work here.  

Finally got Pearly buried, the kids off to school, then Brandon off to work.

And CONFETTI!!

Happy Birthday, Pumpkin!

What a wild day this is.

Aunt Yamaris's family (herself, Big Vincent, Ceera, Little Vincent, Vera, and Valerie) came by to check in that evening.  

Yvonne passed on some of Pearly's gardening harvests to Ceera.  Luckily, I saw Pearly's time was near last week and had already transferred everything to Yvonne!

TUESDAY

Life keeps on goin', especially in the Sims!

Happy elder birthday to Pepper!

Honestly, Pepper and her brother Pixel lived some LONG lives.  Pixel just passed away at his home at the Archer House.  She was Pearly's dog, but Yvonne has taken over as her master now.

I'd like to joke that, here, we can see why I'm in no hurry to age them!  

But Pepper was kept young to have a pup to carry on her line, and we had to wait for some deaths or the kids to go to Uni to make some room.   

Still, geez, can't wait until she's scaring the kids like Ghost Reginald here.

And that wasn't the only ghost out and about Tuesday night.

Katy Neohorn was a victim to the cowplant some weeks back... Usually I don't see her out haunting though!

Might be time to work on that townie graveyard I started, since there's not any knowledge Sims left on the lot to appreciate this situation!

... Or maybe the family is just going to have to deal because GHOST KATY IS PLAYING FETCH WITH GHOST REGINALD!!

I'm not sure I've witnessed this before in my own game!  I see the ghost dogs play together a lot, but not with the ghost Sims!

Lucky that the ghosts were distracted with each other.

Yoren got time to teach Pumpkin a command.  He wants to be master, even though he's about to leave for University for a few weeks.

One of my sisters asked me a few weeks ago how her Sim Melissa Mac is doing.

So if she's reading this, not sure what you are doing walking around this late but that coat makes me think you are livin' large!

(She won't get that this is a pun on an expansion pack from the original game lol)

WEDNESDAY

Wednesday started off a little quieter, but Brandon brought Gweneth home with him from work and my niece Kylie rode the bus home with one of the boys.  

Yvonne's Uncle Yardley also came over for dinner with his family.

Uhmm... I'm guessing Kylie came home as a friend of Yorwyck.

Because she and Yoren don't look so friendly here!

I'm about to breed in some nicer Sims because too many of these current ones are way too into head noogies.  I'm not sure how this fight started but that's where my money is.

Okay, Kylie, you gotta go home.  

Yoren, go study something or pack because you are off to Uni tomorrow.

Gweneth, I think it's probably time for you to go home too.  Sorry you can't take the helicopter from work.  You're gonna have to walk.

THURSDAY

Yikes, it's time!

It's really so hard to grow these little Sims up from newborn babies, to toddlers, to children, teens, and then BOOM, they leave the house.  

Last look at Yoren as a teen!  

Brandon is at work and Yorwyck is off to school.   Yvonne is home but I'm honestly not sure what she does all day.  You'd think she'd be waving goodbye though!

Make us proud, Yoren!

Learn everything you can!

Sow all those Romancer oats so you can come home and get Gen 6 started!

Geez.  He's really not a fan of his makeover.  

Too bad I'm in charge, buddy!  Muwhahah!

Yoren wasn't gone long at all before he came back home to visit.

Aunt Yeva is around here somewhere too.  

Uh-oh... Yorwyck has homework.

I forget what I did but apparently it fixed the issue with the kids not coming home with homework!

Wonder how many days this has been going on?

Eh...

I see.

For Yeva being the only planned official visitor, they ended up with a full table again for dinner!  

Aunt Yamaris walked over from across the street and Gweneth really likes to ride in the helicopter with Brandon.  She's a frequent visitor.

Not sure how long everyone will stay though, with Yung out for his first haunt!

Friday brought some snow finally, and Yorwyck spent a lot of time looking out the windows with this face.

Unfortunately, he's already been to school so no hope of a snow day!

Yoren was our only visitor today, making this the quietest day of the week.

We really had to rest up for Saturday!

The Saturday "Teen Hangout" took no time to fall victim to drama.  

So Xora there in the purple has been crushing/in love with both Vera (in the orange) and Quinten (brown sweater vest).

Vera also has a love triangle going on with Xora and Ursa (green shirt).

Even though both of them have their own little love triangles and secrets, they have strong feelings about the other cheating on them.

Yorwyck is furious with them all as well.  Not sure why since they aren't his type, but he had to drink a few strawberry juices to calm down.

Ursa isn't worried.  

And I have no idea what actually happened here.  

Y'all, I KNEW this girl was crazy.

Look at that face, right after slapping Vera!

This is the face she should be making!

Poor Vera.  I don't know what she did, but I feel like she's sorry.  

Listen, I need the rest of the household to help me separate these girls!

AND Yorwyck!

Oh, of course she is.  And you are furious at her.  

Teen relationships are exhausting.

Great, now Ursa's brother Uncas is here to involve himself.

Boy, you are a fitness Sim and have ABSOLUTLY NO BUSINESS slapping a girl!

We'll deal with this behavior later, sir!

Quinten, hun.... I don't know either.  

And the video game console broke when someone walked by.

I'm really thinking about sending all these kids home and they can do their own damage control on their own weeks!

WHAT IS EVEN HAPPENING HERE?

Chaos has taken over.  It's about to be every Sim for themself!

Can a servo survive electrocution?

Ugh, I don't want to create another servo for the Panda brood.  I just got Ytterbium to quit fighting with the family not that long ago!

Swear, I'm going to douse the game with some holy water or something.

The Ghost of Poison Ivy is not helping things!

Finally, something nice.

Ghost Rollins has lured Ghost Poison Ivy away to play outside.

SUNDAY

Great, Sunday is starting off with a wolf threatening Brandon.  He tried to shoo it away so it wouldn't eat all the pets' food.  

THANKFULLY, the day calmed down.

But I forgot to celebrate Christmas with the family gathering.

There's a whole yard to play catch with the baseballs and footballs, but the guys decided this narrow section beside the house was fine for both.

After everyone went home, I decided to go ahead and send Yorwyck to university.  He'll be in a separate residence from his brother though.

Last look at teenaged Yorwyck before he ages up to a young adult!  

His birthday is tomorrow and I thought to keep him home another week but Mondays can be crazy enough without having to remember to send him off to college before he ages up.

We'll see you again when we head to the university campus!

     I know "wild" and "winter" both start with a "W" but I absolutely wasn't expecting this week to go down like this!  So much drama.  Deaths, fights, kids going to college, ghosts everywhere you turn... 

     Spring is sprung though, so hopefully when we return here in Week 30, it'll be a "Sweet Spring" and not a sassy one!
