     By jove, I've finally done it!  I've made it through the whole week with Xayden.  I've definitely been getting the itch to play my Sims lately but Xayden is a bachelor and things at his house seem to move SO SLOWLY!  Well, that's usually the case.  He had a few surprises for me early on.  

     Before getting too far ahead of myself here, I'll just get to the re-introductions and then see how quickly I can tell the tale of Xayden's drawn-out autumn.

The problem with the smaller households is that there's not always a lot to do.  Usually I'm a fan of just ignoring chance cards, but sometimes things just happen when I'm bored.

And sometimes those things are bad.

Talk about a case of the Mondays...

Been playing 5 minutes and already I got the man demoted.

Being a Business Tycoon was Xayden's dream job so I'm going to have to make this right.  

Sure, he's got a mid-life crisis dream of becoming a Space Pirate now.  But I think in the long-run, he'll appreciate getting the Tycoon position back.  He'll be an elder next week, getting a little old to be heading to outer space.

Cruz is saving our tushies here.  Good boy!  GOOD BOY!

Sure, Xayden's aspiration is perma-plat.  Doesn't mean he won't cry over that demotion.  Luckily, he had a Want for Cruz to be promoted.

What's crazy is that even though Xayden was demoted, he still brought home a friend from work (that would be Gweneth in the middle there).  

He also had dinner plans with his immediate family (Dad Xane, twin Xavian, SIL Morrdredd, and nieces Xyla & Xora) that we didn't cancel.  I figured he'd need the company.  

His cousin Treva also stopped by.

She ate dinner then raked the leaves outside.  Without anyone asking!

All-in-all... What a day!

TUESDAY

Here we go with the chance cards again.  

I learned nothing yesterday.  I gambled with my Sims' sanity once again.  

This time though I am victorious!!

Cruz is promoted to Stunt Double!

I'm about to take this dog to Vegas to be my lucky charm.

Well, Cruz is home early.  Xayden has the day-off.  No better time to teach this young pup to roll over so he's ready for another promotion!

... I guess they are off to a good start. 

At least Cruz is cute? 

Come on, boy!  Roll over!

A watched pot never boils, right?  So I'm just going to leave them to it.

Uncle Xavier's family is here tonight for dinner so at least I have some distraction.

Uncle Xavier's grandkids all look so different!  

Ulva on the right is the oldest, and Uncas & Ulva are the twins.  

They do look similar enough to be family but yet all 3 kids have a good mesh of all the genetics available to them.  

And while Uncas is the only one that will probably carry on the Centowski name of all the generation 5 kids, he didn't get the family nose.

Of these 3 siblings, Ulva is the only one with that long nose.

Anyway.. Cruz learned to roll over, dinner was eaten, and Tuesday rolls over to Wednesday.

Here we go again...

Yesterday's success has emboldened me to toy with Xayden's emotions.  

Oh, thank Wright.

Plus he was promoted back up to CEO.  A lot can happen in 3 days, guys!

The last of the other Centowski households is here to spend the evening with Xayden.  

This time it's Uncle Xander, Aunt Cassie, his cousin Treva, her husband Soupy, and their teenager Trace (he's somewhere around here).  

Xayden's intent on teaching Cruz to play dead.

I know the lot isn't huge but it's not that pressed for space.

Y'all don't have to clump up in such a tight crowd.

Uncle Xander, please do NOT give him CPR.  Please, please, please.  

And I love how Cruz is like, "Dad?  You okay?  Dad?"

Well hey.

I was wrong to question Xayden's strategy.  Turns out, it worked.

Cruz can play dead!

I'll be darned.

Please do not let Xander lie to you guys either.  There is plenty of food.  He just has to grab his own plate from the kitchen.

All of that training definitely paid off! 

Cruz has his 3rd promotion this week.  He's a STAR!!!!

Ouch.

Two promotions outweighs one stock market loss! 

He's back, ladies and gentlemen!  HE'S BACK!

I totally forgot I had the neighborhood celebrating Thanksgiving on their Thursday.

I guess Xayden didn't.. he actually served ribs autonomously.  They usually just make a single meal for themselves right?

Guess he remembered something that I didn't.  Oops!

FRIDAY

Good morning, Gypsy.

.. Where you going?

Odd place to leave the gypsy lamp, but okay.

Actually though, why are all the visitors obsessed with this side of the house!?

I never summon the gypsy in the lamp, so I thought I'd see what fun we could have with that.  

Fortune.. Beauty.. Cheat Death..

I don't think we need any of that today.

"Soo.. nothing?  You want me to just go back into the lamp?"

"Yeah, sorry dude."

Later.. instead of being SMART and having Xayden's cousins all gather I was a dummy and had the Centowski Gen 5 cousins over for cousin day. 

What a missed opportunity!  These Gen 5 kids are super socialized.  

But I do always like looking at extended family genetics.  Cousins Ulva & Xora here!

Saturday, all the sports enthusiasts gathered to watch the game.  

... Though, these active sports fans really don't like to sit down to watch TV.  They spend a lot of time throwing around the football, playing basketball out back, talking about the game...

And eating!

Xayden isn't much of a cook, unless it involves the grill.

But he can make a mean sandwich and is a wizard with that delivery pizza!

SUNDAY

Sunday morning started out nice and easy.  Morning poo-poo, a shower, made his bed, checked out some sports scores online, and then a little blogging.  

But by noon the Centowskis were arriving en masse.

Sundays are usually reserved for family in this town!

Again, Xayden isn't much of a cook and with so many guests at his house, I went with the buffet table option. 

I told Xayden he doesn't have to sit at the kids' table anymore, but yet here he is.  

Reminds me a bit of myself, honestly.

     And now it's time to move on to the last house in Legacy Cove.  But wait, there's more!  After visiting Vamaris's home, before the winter season officially begins we'll have our first visit to see Generation 5 over on the college campus!  I'm so excited to see these kids grow up.  And yet... so sad that they grow up so quickly.  It's bittersweet.  

     So this is just ta-ta for now!  I'll be back!

Week 28

102 Bayview Drive

     You may have noticed I took a little break from my Sims.  I got the itch to play some old school Tropico, Civ 3, SimCity, etc...  Then I rediscovered FarmVille.  All along this time, the weather warmed up and the room my PC is gets pretty warm.   

     But I'm back!  And a funny little coincidence that I noticed when I pulled up this blog site is that the last Wolosenko update was a few days shy of being a year ago (Oct 19, 2023).   Whew buddy, I need to get this game moving again!  Another co-inky-dink is that at least the in-game seasons are syncing back up with the real life weather.  At least for those of us in the northern hemisphere.  

     Without any further adieu, let me reintroduce our current household.

Nothing starts a week off like an early Monday newspaper theft.

Who is enemies with Rocco.

That's not even their dog.  It's a stray wolf.   The wolf growled at Lucian because even he knows it's wrong to steal newspapers!  GOSH LUCIAN!

Even Zyler (Zakki's nephew/Rocco's cousin) spoke up.  This is a kid that has ZERO outgoing points.  But he was brave enough to lecture Lucian.

And don't worry,  y'all.  I called my nephew to let him know his Sim was up to shenanigans.  I think the kids like hearing what their Sims are up to!

I think Zyler feels like he's pretty proud of himself though.  

I don't often get a smile like that from this kid!

So yeah, Monday was a dull day.  That's all the news we have to report for today!

TUESDAY

After everyone left Tuesday morning, I realized that they had a good bit of cash saved up!  This is a first generation house so usually the finances are tight for a while.  But hooray for Fortune Sims!  

So I spent a chunk buying paintings.  I recently downloaded a LOT of paintings from ModtheSims, so it was nice to see them in-game. 

So obviously spending their simoleons didn't take long.  Even in speed 3, waiting for everyone to come home is boring.  When the chance card popped up for Isaac, I took the bait.

I was wrong.  I know that now.  

Luckily it was just his hobby enthusiasm that took a hit.  Some time on his guitar later will fix that right back up.

Zakki's aunt Zoey visited that evening with her family.

Zoey's time with us is almost at an end, so making sure they get in all the hugs they still can!

WEDNESDAY

Rocco brought home a friend from school.  We needed some yardwork done, so Rocco influenced Butters to do some yardwork, then took Lyric for a walk.  

It worked out well. Butters didn't finish up until after Rocco got back home so still time to socialize.  10/10 will do this again!

What tha......

Zakki decided to wind their grandfather clock all by herself.  Freewill is ruining her life.  I can't believe she broke it.

I mean, I'm going to buy her a new one but still.  Be more gentle with your expensive things, ya dumb Fortune Sim!

I also still had the decorating bug itching in my veins so the back deck got a small make-over too.  

Man, oh man, do the Sims love to sit on that bench!  It's great to see some appreciation for all the work I do around here.

... Nevermind.

Just nevermind.

Oh, good.  An adult, maybe he'll do some parenting of his mischievous.... 

.......... is he CHEERING THE SOAP?  

Sigh.

GOOOOOOD MORNING!

The cleanbot malfunctioned after everyone went to work/school.

There's also a shower spraying water upstairs.

I really miss those first 3 boring days of this week right about now.

Rocco called Chris Leelaporn when he came back home after school.  Then promptly took Lyric for her afternoon walk.   

I'm so glad Chris repairs the bots as well as leaky showers!  There's still a heck of a mess to clean up though.  Between turning the cleanbot back on and bringing Zinc 2.0 over, only minimal Sim effort was required.  (Spoiled lil buggers)

At least all of this went down today instead of tomorrow.  Because Friday is party time for Zakki and Isaac!

Ah... all the chaos is cleaned up and they get to have one last quiet family dinner before the spin to elder.

... I don't know why I said anything.

This game toys with my emotions too much.

It's Rocco's last day of school!  This weekend he'll be heading off to college!

He's a straight-A student and I'm hoping we can continue that through his university years!

Rocco will be joining his cousin Zaryn and their classmates Xyla and Winifred as the first wave of Generation 5 to head off to college.

Meanwhile.. in other news... 

Happy birthday to Zakki & Isaac!  

Zakki got a new car!  I didn't have one in pastel pink if you were wondering why we selected a pearl white one 😉.  Isaac still prefers his old, cheap clunker.  But he always takes the car pool to work.. hmm.   

Isaac got a very "dad gift" for his birthday.  A grill!  I was kind of surprised when I went looking for one on their lot and came up empty.

Since he didn't really need/want anything else, ta-da!  It's now a birthday present!

And now ladies and gentlemen... let the party commence!

I get the feeling that Isaac is going to be a sassy old flirt.  

I interrupt this birthday spam to show you two kids in love.

Zavoy and Laken are infatuated with each other.  I struggle to keep up their relationships with other Sims because they stalk each other all over the neighborhood!

 

Okay, you can look back at Zakki now.  She's dressed.  

She wants to know what everyone thinks of her new 'do.   

I struggled with changing her hair but decided the ponytail just wasn't working for her as an elder.  So we just cut it all off!!

Elder clothes are already a challenge but finding something in a shade of pale pink was a whole different monster.  Luckily I had this sweater outfit that will work well for him in the upcoming winter months!

... I really can NOT go off on another downloading spree for CC clothes!

They are too dang cute together, I swear.  Even though Isaac was born in my old neighborhood and Zakki was born and raised here in Legacy Cove, these two were made for each other.  

Ohhhkay, and now I think we better send the guests home and let these two celebrate the rest of their birthday alone.

Rocco heads off to college tomorrow morning, so the Wolosenkos are hosting one last teen hang-out.  

Rocco wanted to earn some money so he's entertaining for tips.  

He's got Valerie's attention, at least.  Everyone else was busy.

Less than 24 hours left to be a teen, buddy!  Spend every minute wisely because being an adult sucks.

I don't know when Xavier or Vamaris joined the party but it seems she's got ghosts in her belly.  Maybe have a hamburger, girl.  Get rid of the rumblies in your tummy

UGH!!!!

I build big, roomy houses to help prevent pathing issues.  But then an impromptu game of kicky ball starts in a hallway and HERE WE ARE!

And JULIE!  When did you show up and why are you playing ball in our house?

It's time for Rocco to leave the nest.  

Sunday is for family, and since some of the family isn't going to be with us next week I felt it was important to not skip it.  

But I didn't want to send Rocco out in the middle of a get-together.  

So he left Sunday morning, giving me time to move him in with the girls (Zaryn, Xyla, and Winifred) and give him his make-over.  Then teleport him back to his parents' house for family time.



And may I now present to you...

.. "young adult" Rocco!!!  

HE LOOKS SO GROWN, I CAN'T STAND IT!  

It's the facial hair, I know, I know.  

And if I thought pink was hard to find in the male elder-ware, it was worse in the young adult wardrobes.  

It was a beautiful fall day, so of course there were more games of kicky bag.

At least they were outside this time.

(PS - Extended family includes Zakki's brother Zavoy's household:  Zavoy, Laken, Zyler.   And Aunt Zoey's household:  Zoey, Walter, Julie, Wendolyn.  Along with the 2 college girls Zaryn & Winifred)

Isaac got to use his new grill again to make hamburgers for dinner, and there was some leftover berry pie for dessert.  

Yes, leftover pie.  You get what you get and you don't throw a fit!

Later that night after the guests had gone home...

Now, I don't usually have my Sims whoohoo unless they have a want or we need a baby.  And I could manipulate it with making them have a home date, because eventually they'll want to whoohoo.

But sometimes when the house is empty, you just gotta take advantage!

They didn't protest!

A Popularity Sim and Fortune Sim have no business being this damn cute together!

We've already stayed too long now.  Time for me to lock up their house and head on to the next.

     I'm not sure what next week will look like for the Wolosenkos.  Rocco will be at college, they are maxed in their careers and hobbies, and only the schnoodle Lyric is home with the empty-nesters.   Maybe it'll be an easy breezy week.  Maybe they'll find some shenanigans.  Please stay tuned!
