TS2 - Legacy Cove - Week 25
102 Bayview Drive
The Wolosenko house is growing in leaps and bounds this winter! Not in family size but house size. They have come a long way in just a short few weeks. Fortune Sims, am I right? The baby did some growing as well! But I'm getting way ahead of myself now. Let me refresh on our inhabitants and then we'll take a look at all the updates
The first update was to add on a nursery for Rocco. He's been sleeping in his parents' bedroom but that just won't do. So the kitchen & dining room got pushed back a bit and a nursery squeezed in.
Finished just in time for Rocco's first birthday! Here comes toddlerhood! Of course, the family is all invited over for the festivities. But of course, 6pm arrived faster than the guests did. For once, the infant was ready to age up. So none of the usual party pictures. Just a toss!
He's darling! Those eyebrows have me charmed! He's got his dad's squinty eyes but its working for him. Little Rocco is also an Aries like his dad. His stats are 8 neat - 10 outgoing - 10 active - 6 playful - 1 grouchy. More mean snowmen at this house, I suppose. Unfortunately, it's going to be hard to 'encourage' him out of the grouchiness since Zakki also has 1 point and Isaac only has 2. It'll be up to granddad Zack! At least if he's a little snot, he's a cute little snot!
Meanwhile... the stupid vacuum bot keeps breaking. TWICE NOW. Right as they are all going to bed so now that Zakki and Isaac can semi-sleep through the night, no they can't. Unless they want bugs. And we do not want bugs!
On Wednesday, I let Zakki gamble on a chance card. I usually ignore them, especially with Fortune sims at the top of their career. But I'm becoming a more daring Simmer lately. And luckily, this one worked out in our favor. Sort of.
I also normally do not allow my Sims to get a full 10 points of cooking skill. Because I hate the lobster thermidor with a passion. It's a wasteful amount of food and sure enough, I caught Zakki trying to make it a few times since Wednesday when her hunger was still in the green. WHY ARE YOU SIMS LIKE THIS?
Ahem. I apologize for the outburst. Anyway, Wednesday also was the evening that both Zakki and Isaac achieved their max enthusiasm in their hobbies (Sports and Music & Dance, respectively).
Even with full work schedules and having to call in the nanny each day, plus maxing their hobby enthusiasms, Zakki and Isaac still had time to teach Rocco his skills. He's potty-trained, walks, talks, and of course Isaac taught him the nursery rhymes. What kind of music lover would he be if he hadn't!?
And just a moment of silence please for our first Music and Dance enthusiast, Ms Toots Savoy Archer. I'm so glad I had Zack paint these pictures for Zakki and Zoey! They are perfect.
Meanwhile... Outside, Zakki isn't being so quiet. Eagle Centowski (townie, cousin to the Legacy Cove Centowski name founder Trevor) stole Zakki's newspaper right in front of her. Ironic that she's lecturing him because she's the number one paper thief in this town.
Well, as all parents know, "The years start coming and they don't stop coming." Kids grow up SO FAST! It's time for Rocco to have another spin. We're going to get the party right this time!
AND VIOLA! Rocco is now a child! He's still a doll, too. His forehead is unfortunately a bit high though, and it's keeping me from using another hairstyle I was hoping to put on him. This one works though.
And now... It's time to spend some of that money they've been banking. For Friday night, I just put a bed in the nursery. But it's time to expand the house. I struggled getting started on where to put the stairs because they didn't look right in the first two spots I had in mind. But once I got the stairs in place, the rest of it came along pretty easily! Let me show you!
I'll have to do some work on the curb appeal next week. You know, building isn't really the expensive part. It's the furnishing that breaks the bank! But I have a small peak at Rocco's room and you can see the master bedroom a bit too.
So Rocco's room is the front of the house and has a little private porch. Then there's a larger deck on the back that I added a few chairs, chess table, and a telescope. Did you know I had a telescope in pink? Who knew?
I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. It's got a decent flow and still has a few unique touches. But gotta raincheck building a garage studio for Isaac and spring is a better time to do landscaping. They still HAVE money but I don't like to empty the bank.
On to Saturday! It's playdate day! I let Isaac spend some time on his guitar, sent Zakki to do some financial consulting, and let the kids run wild!
Look at 'em all in their snow gear! They are so cute! Then one of the teen townies (I think it was Cato Carr) stole the newspaper and Xyla! Wasn't! Having! It!
I was thinking, "Girl.. You don't even live here! But go off! Let that punk have it!" ... She needed no encouragement. Made me sit up straighter and everything.
Saturday turned to Sunday and I got a few pictures of Rocco and his cousin Zaryn. I suspect that Rocco's hobby will be fitness. His stats match for it, plus I've tried a few other things and nothing has lit up yet. These two are going to just be best of friends, I bet!
Oh, while I was looking in Zakki's inventory I found/remembered she has some expensive items stashed there. Gifts from her parents and things bought with her university semester money. More than enough to add on a garage and a room for the skilling items!
Just need a gate or something for the half-wall in the garage because the guests will not leave the guitar alone. They will play until they piss themselves. So while I think a 'garage band' would be cool, I think being able to lock/unlock the gate would be beneficial for my sanity. I can lock the exterior door but not the main garage door. I'll fix that up next week.
Because our time with the Wolosenkos has come to an end!
Happy Simming!
