      I've never kept track of the weeks in previous neighborhoods, so sometimes when I think something like, "Wow, I'm about to start week 27", I feel like it's "only" been 27 weeks.  Then the other half of the time I'm thinking it's crazy that I'm on generation five in only that amount of time.  Sims time is definitely different than real life time.   

     What is pretty cool though is that as Legacy Cove passes from spring to summer, the real world (at least here in the northern hemisphere) is doing the same.  And what you can expect to see this summer in Legacy Cove is a new public pool, puppies, and a lot of birthdays with the generation 5 kids growing up to teenagers.  There's a few that will still be children but they'll be the minority.  I expect we'll see the Grim Reaper more often than I like as well.  It's going to be a crazy summer, that's for sure! 

     I'm excited to see the kids grow up and see what aspirations they roll and how they start pairing up.  I have the extended family mod from ModTheSims so they shouldn't have crushes on anyone their parents still consider family.  I tested this with trying family kisses with some adults and kids.  Knock on wood, it seems to be working as needed.  If all else fails I can flag them as family in SimPE.   

     So who CAN match up in a relationship?  Between week 25 and 26 I posted a really confusing list of how the families are segregated now.  Basically, I am looking at our generation 2 kids - Zachariah, Zamaris, and Zayna - and their descendants as individual family trees.  There's a twist in there with the Lind family, as Frazier and Fletcher were twins in Legacyville and I reconnected them as brothers when they married.  

     Alright, let me break down our "Houses".  Sims within the same "House" aren't going to date or marry another in their House.

     That's 19 kids for generation five!  Quite the population burst!  Which is why I'll be trying to match kids up with each other where possible.  Plus, I haven't decided who will be the childless one.  Each generation has at least one "barren/sterile" Sim to help the population booms.   

 

     Just a fun trivia fact:  Of the 19 kids for gen 5, only four of them have black hair.  The others are brunettes.  Not a recessive hair gene in sight.  Hopefully when they start marrying other playables, the recessive genes will start peeking out more!  

     Another gen 5 trivia fact, only Yoren and Yorwyck have the founder Zane's eye color.  A few might be carrying it with another eye color expressed but I haven't gone into SimPe to peek.  

 

     One last thing to note;  There's a few changes in the townie pool.  I showed in the previous blogs a few teens growing up, Kylie Tumbler and Julian Smith.  Makayla Pepper and Gweneth Indie also went from teen to young adult to adults.  There's two more in uni currently, twins Ryan and Rainey Lawson.  I'll probably pop over to the uni 'hood a few times and have them in their junior year when gen 5 starts flooding the campus.  

     SO!  Who's ready for SUMMER!  Let's dive in!

     It looks on first glance that the Chauncellor's have a lot to do on their home, but they are only just starting their second week!  Vamaris accomplished a LOT their first week, but luckily they get to enjoy life a little more this week.  I'm getting a bit ahead of myself, sorry.  Let me re-introduce our household.

      First things first.  As soon as I unpaused the game, it's 3-something in the morning in Legacy Cove yet a visitor approached.  Oh, who could it be?  Accompanied by music that is ominous to a Sims 2 player's ears.  It's Elle Butler.  Otherwise known as the town burglar.  This is a Fortune Sim's nightmare.  

     Well, the good news is that before Miss Butler could throw any of possessions not belonging to her into a black bag, Officer Vanessa Gonzaga arrived on the scene.  

     That's right, Elle Butler!  FOILED AGAIN.  Or bad news... is she?

     Okay, not the best way to start our week.  At least nothing was stolen.  Except their feeling of safety.  Rue this day, Butler.  RUE THIS DAY.  

     I got the household back to bed and hopefully everyone will wake up refreshed.  It worked.  They woke back up at went about Monday like normal.  There were some puppy snuggles and the nanny actually floored me by playing with Quentin!   

 

      Caden gets home first and dismisses the nanny.  I thought about looking for a different job for him as there's several doctors already.  But then I realized, there isn't.  At least not for long.  Generation 3 doctors Fletcher Lind and Yardley Panda will be retiring soon.  The two Gen 4s in the medical field, Zakki Wolosenko and Shawn Panda, are Chiefs of Staff so not actively practicing.  We NEED Dr Chauncellor!  

     It also looks like Lindsay Centowski will be retiring soon also, as there's a new Law in town now!  Congrats, Vamaris!  This was her LifeTimeWant.   

     The last bit of Monday news is just that Quentin's OneTrueHobby was revealed while Caden taught him a nursery rhyme.  

     There's suddenly a lot of Music and Dance hobbyists in Legacy Cove!  Toots and Xavian Centowski for the longest time were the only Sims in this category.  But now there's Caden and Quentin here, along with Xavian's daughter Xora.  Zakki's husband Isaac also, and Winifred Lind.  Caden has a drum set but it's currently in his inventory until the house is expanded (which I hope to work on next week).  

     Tuesday was not at all eventful.  Vamaris's brother Vincent and his family (Ceera, VJ, and Vera) came for a visit.  And I discovered a trio of bots in Vamaris's inventory.  Excellent.  A hydrobot, cleanbot, and sentrybot.  Exxxxcccellent.  

     Come back now, Butler!  We'll be waiting. 

     Wednesday was another quiet day and passed quickly.  The only thing of note was the pop-up announcing tomorrow is Quentin's birthday!  

   

     Vama's mother, Yamaris, lives next door and comes by almost every day.  She seems to not like pooping in her own bathroom and prefers the toilet in her daughter's house.  Maybe if I shame her with her picture on the internet she'll start using her own! 

     There's only one bathroom here, so gatherings get frustrating quickly.  That's not going to stop me from inviting not only the Lind branch of Vama's family tree but all the Pandas as well for Quentin's birthday bash!

     He's such a cutie!  I have no idea where he got his flat nose though.  It looks fine straight on, but his profile from the side view is just ridiculous.  Vamaris has a very nice nose, and Caden's is normal.  Genes are a funny thing, I guess.  

     He cleans up very nicely though.  Flat nose or not, he's still adorable!  

      After that social overdose for his birthday, for Friday I only brought over his direct cousins VJ and Vera for the cousin playdate.  Quentin and VJ might just end up best friends forever.  

     On Saturday, before all of the neighborhood kids showed up to play, Caden phoned in a birthday surpr..... wait, this isn't what we called for!  

      Only in the Sims, man.  Only in the Sims.  ONLY IN THE SIMS, will you see Kayla Panda walking down the sidewalk with her dog Fleur and a penguin.  In the springtime.  In the rain.  

      I almost forgot what we were doing, until the surprise arrived!  Welcome Linus!  He's the last puppy from the Legacy household's litter (Lady stayed with the Archers and Lyric was adopted by their daughter Zakki).  I fully intend to breed him with Ying next week, as Ying has had more than enough Kibble of Life. Not enough for my heart, but at the same time more than enough.  Ying has been with Vamaris since before she went to uni so she's had a long life already.  

     This puppy is going to get worn out today though!  Here come all the kids!  By the by, ghosts have been a popular topic of conversation at this house which is odd to me as there are NOT any ghosts here.  

      .... That I know of, anyhow.

     Listen, this army of kids eats a LOT.  Holy moly.  They finished off the servings in a bowl of mac and cheese leftover from the night before.  Vamaris made a plate of sandwiches.  Caden ordered a pizza.  Then made spaghetti when the pizza disappeared.   The attendance sheet for today's playdate was Zyler Archer, Yoren and Yorwyck Deppiesse, Xora Centowski, Wendolyn Lind, VJ and Vera Lind, Ursa Centowski, Trace Centowski, and lastly Shayla and Sebastian Panda.  And their household of 3, of course.  

     Caden, Vamaris, and Quentin were never so happy to go to bed Saturday night and they all slept in on Sunday.   

     Good thing, because Sunday was busy!  First, Linus grew up to an adult dog.   

     And as the Lind family started arriving for Sunday dinner, Caden unexpectedly hit his LifeTimeWant of having 20 simultaneous best friends.  Thanks to Walter for being the 20th!  

      
      And I say "unexpectedly" because I had no idea he was that close.  I've had him make some phone calls anytime his social has a bit of a gap in it, but that's hard as Caden and Vamaris are pretty much inseparable.  But he's done most of the work on his own still.  He's a nice, friendly guy and everyone seems to enjoy his company!   

     I did have him slip away to pick up a collar for Linus.  Suspicious that Frazier is at his house but also at the pet store.  Is he stalking Caden?  I'll be keeping an eye on you, Frazier!

      It's probably a good thing I restricted their Sunday family dinner to just the Lind families as they didn't have enough room at their dinner table for everyone!  In the future, I may need to plan out room for a breakfast nook in the kitchens to add additional seating.  

      To finish up the week, Vamaris reached max enthusiasm with games as she played chess with Winifred!  She's just hitting all of her goals so early (and this one without me even trying) and I'm not sure what to do with this Fortune goal-driven Sim in the upcoming weeks.  I'm sure she'll come up with something though!

      Lastly, I leave you with a picture of Ying and Linus.  I bet they are going to make the cutest little pups.  Taking suggestions on C- names.  I like to theme them on their owners' lives, so anything related to music & dance, games, law, or medical!  

     And now, SPRING IS OVER!  Summer has arrived!  Appropriate as the real-life temps are ready to start heating up in real life as well.
