TS2 - Legacy Cove - Week 27 - 1001 Centowski Street

 TS2 - Legacy Cove

Week 27

1001 Centowski Street

     The central Centowski house hasn't always been my favorite to play.  They are a bit stuffy and the family has tended to be more serious than playful.  This week and the last though, I've enjoyed playing their house a lot more.  Deb's Diner is not really a money maker but it's pretty busy and even with not even breaking even financially it's one of the more successful restaurants I've had over the years in this game.  Also, the personalities of each resident have started to become more developed.  And wait until you see the "Many Faces of Xyla"!

     Without further adieu, let's get started!

MONDAY
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Soooo.. Last week, I took a gamble on a chance card for Morrdredd.  I guessed wrong.  She paid the price, and was demoted back down to substitute teacher.  This left Julie as the solo teacher and all alone with the kids at school.  My bad, Julie!!
But Morrdredd has been promoted back to elementary school teacher!  Whew!
Xavian's twin Xayden came to visit Monday evening.  He luckily escaped the wrath of Ghost Zayna but Deb didn't.
She was unfortunately on her way to the bathroom to relieve her bladder.. Let me just say she had to take a shower instead after Zayna's haunting.
TUESDAY
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Though this week started on a high note with Morrdy's promotion, ghosts and Grim are really starting to put a damper on things.

Goodbye, Teddy!  You were one of my favorites, along with your littermate Teeny.  She's waiting for you on Grim Islands!

I hate to loose any of the Sims or their pets to Grim but some do hurt more than others.

Teddy definitely won't be forgotten by me!

Linden and Flopsy howling just drives a cold stake through my heart!

Be gone, Grim!

Later Tuesday afternoon, I thought it would be a great idea for Xyla to fulfill her wish to go to private school.

Hello, Headmaster Riley!

Xavier's household is visiting also, so hopefully that only works in the girls' favor.

I don't know what happened, but I tried twice to call him to dinner and he didn't go.  Instead, after the second attempt he stood up and said their schmoozing was on point but he had other plans for dinner.  Ta-ta!

I have a feeling that Xyla and Xora being the Mayor's kids attributed to their acceptance!

WEDNESDAY
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
By Wednesday, I felt it was past time to go check in on the Diner.  Deb has over two awesome teams in her staff.  Team A is Lark as the hostess, and Violet and Sheridan as the servers.
Julie was unfortunately seated next to Caden.  He's a bit of a chatterbox.  She just wants to eat in peace, Caden!
Caden was a big tipper though.  These girls working as servers frequently get some nice tips!
Even the teen townies splash out on tips.  Violet is a grumpy townie, but an excellent waitress.  She works hard here and deserves both her high houly pay and these tips!
Deb was going strong, so a shift change was made with her staff.  That's Nicki Lee as hostess, and Laiyya and Priscilla as the servers now.
Priscilla is one of the newer servers, but Kirsten thinks she's doing a great job!
And just a peek here at Laiyya telling my daughter Kayla the specials.  Since graduating uni, Kayla hasn't been around much.  I guess she got hungry though!
Our newest teen romancer Yoren has discovered that this is the place to meet the ladies.  Nicki Lee drooled over him on her break, and another grumpy teen townie, Harper, took a quick liking to him too.
Whatever keeps me from groaning when I see her walk onto a lot!  She didn't pick any fights with Yoren hanging around!
Harper and Yoren even ate together!  Usually everyone is seated at their own tables!
The C team of staff saw a returning Raven as hostess, and a brand new server Kylie on the floor.
Unfortunately for Kylie, her first customer was her mother.
I really expected Teressa to have a complete fit when her salad landed on her, but surprisingly she just sat there and stewed until a replacement dish was brought out.
This diner really is bringing out the best in everyone!
And it's packed the whole time it's open.  Maybe that's because it's the only restaurant in town, but I like to think it's because Deb and her girls are running a top-notch eatery!
Please note the uniform change for the hostess.  It helps me recognize Raven and Nicki Lee when I first open the diner and all the staff comes in together.
Back at home, Xora gets a pop-up that her birthday is in two days.  Another teenager!  They grow up so quickly, don't they?
Xander and his family were visiting and gave their RSVP that they plan to attend the party!
THURSDAY
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Mornings are a little crazy here.  Morrdy's carpool shows up at 7am, the school bus at 8am, then the helicopter for Xavian and Xane at 10am, along with the housekeeper.  We also had the gardner on Thursday morning.

Aspen got separated from his owner Zoey Lind while walking by the chaos.  You know I was yelling at the maid to watch out for the little guy!

It's Dora's birthday today.  She snoozed through the normal 11am age-up.  I absolutely stalked her until she woke up.

And still waited...

And impatiently waited...

Finally!  *POOF!*

I wish she looked a bit more like her daddy Teddy but she definitely favors Flopsy.

She's got a hit of brown around her muzzle and her passenger side ear is a little lighter than the rest of her coat.

Linden also snoozed through his birthday.  I hadn't even noticed today was his birthday also until I saw his pop-up right after Dora's!

Welcome to elder-hood, buddy!

I'm not sure how far Xane and Deb are going to take this backrub, so let me show off their backyard and give them some privacy.

The household isn't very outdoors-y, so there's not much going on.  It's fairly neat and tidy out here though.

They do use the grill on their deck quite a bit for cookouts.

The back portion of the back yard has the garage, a basketball hoop from the days when Xayden was a teenager living in the house (he's a sports guy), the dog houses, the weathernaught (which is used to extend the season for a whole week), a koi pond from Xavian's brief career as the Hand of Poseidon, and the telescope deck.  There's 3 telescopes out there, thanks to Zayna.  Xyla is a science gal like her grandma and is frequently out here in the evenings!

Behind the garage is the dog graveyard.  Little Teddy's grave is the one closes to the front of the picture.

That wraps up the backyard pretty much, and great timing because Morrdy and the kids just got home!

Morrdy is now our high school teacher!  What a comeback from that stupid chance card demotion!

Unfortunately, Julie, this leaves you alone with all of the younger children again.  But at least more of them are growing up to teenagers and hopefully your class size is more reasonable with each house played this week!

I had Xyla check out some of her matches on the crystal ball.  It amused me that Eagle Centowski was a match.  She'd keep the same last name if they dated and married later as adults.

Turns out it's only a 1-bolt connection and he's more interested in playing with the dogs.

But Xyla seems smitten.

Xane later maxed his fitness enthusiasm while blogging.  It is a sore point for me that he goes jogging EVERY DAY, rain or shine, and that's not enough to max the enthusiasm!

Xane also wanted to have a family reunion.  Just having the family on the lot isn't enough to fulfill it, so we had to throw a house party.

But why not, summer is a great time to host a family reunion!

Just look at all these Centowskis roaming around.

And hooray!  Everyone had a blast!  The buffet table is always a hit, and the water balloon fights helped a lot too!

Whew, its time to put Thursday to bed.  I'm exhausted.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
FRIDAY
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

While the kids were at school and the adults at home were occupied, I realized Xyla's bedroom needed an update.

It doesn't reflect her at all, this was originally Xavier's room and nature-themed for him.

NOW it's space themed for our little astronomer!

A couple of flower pictures, a new dresser, and new bedspread and it seems to suit Xyla a little better.

     Now prepare yourself for the birthday extravaganza!  Just kidding, Xora's party is a little more low-key.  Just the Centowski cousins and Uncle Xayden to celebrate.

(DUCK LIPS?)

(That's better, even if she's so serious)

(Deb, Xavian, Morrdy, Xayden, Xane, Xyla)
(And of course the birthday girl Xora!)

(Yay!  Happy Birthday, Xora!)

(Morrdy, Xane, Ursa, Xayden, Trace, Xyla, Deb)

(Here we go!  I hope her high cheeks smooth out)
(It's gotten better with each birthday)

(Oh dear Wright)

LOOK AWAY!  LOOK AWAY!

Please, distract yourself with her aspiration choice pop-up!

Xora has rolled romance.  Not my favorite, but maybe we can make this work.

Her first LifeTimeWant was to have 20 simultaneous lovers.  I usually don't reroll LTWs but this is exactly the same as Yoren.  Two in a row seemed sketchy.  So I re-rolled that and now she wants to be a Rock God.  That works well with her music and dance hobby so I'm much happier now!

NOW!  The new and IMPROVED Xora Centowski!

Her cheeks are still a bit high, but like the previous birthday spins they are looking much better.

Her cheeks still cut through a lot of the hairstyles, but this one worked well and she looks amazing in it.

She's going to be one heck of a romancer!  Knock 'em dead, girl!

And, in a family known for their long weird noses, I think Xora's looks just about perfect and pretty cute!

Guess she got that from her mama.

So, it was about this time that I realized Xora and Dora's names are way too similar.  How did I miss this before?

Dora doesn't have a master yet.  Now that I have noticed their rhyming names, it's gonna have to be Xora.

So I set Xora to training their youngest pupper.

I always start with "Come Here" because it's the most useful.

Ta-Da!

Wow, what a busy Friday.  These last two days have been jam-packed.

I'm sending them all to bed now!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SATURDAY
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Xora started off the morning playing the violin.  Her dad is also a violinist.

But since she wants to be a rock god, maybe I should get her a different instrument?

I'll let that play around in the back of my mind while I send Deb back to the diner.

Our former neighborhood housekeeper Tyson followed Raven back to the kitchen to give her a tip.  Luckily Deb was there cooking.  Why is Tyson so creepy!?

The diner gained another rank.  This felt like a good place to leave off for the week, so I sent all the girls and Deb back to their homes!

Had to be back in time for the Saturday teen hangout!

There's entirely too much purple in this picture.  Purple kite, purple Yorwyck, purple Xora, PURPLE WHOOHOO ICON!  Ahhh!

Moving on!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SUNDAY
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Sunday, as always, is the family day.

Morrdy spent most of the day in her garage workshop trying to get her gold toy-making badge.

She was successful!  She can churn out those water wigglers super quick too.  She gifted one to both Xavier and Xander's households too!

     Now, before we finish up the summer blog, allow me to show you some of the many faces of Xyla.  She's a hoot!  And she loves to check herself out in the mirror!

     And now the summer is over, and time to move on to fall.  Next week we'll see Xane retiring (he actually didn't go to work this week and used up his vacation days.  But Renee has already replaced him as Education Minister so it's time for him to step down).   Xora wants her first kiss, so she'll be looking for a suitable Sim to lock lips with!

Thank you for reading, happy Simming, and stay cool this summer!
