Week 27

1 Bamboo Blvd

     I've been successfully avoiding another plague in Legacy Cove, but the real life plague of COVID got me this past week.  I had finished up my week with the Panda family but didn't have the gumption to write up their blog post.  Finally though, I'm ready to tackle their weekly review!   As always, a quick review of our residents.

     We've got a lot of growth this week.  With growth comes loss.  There's always a balance in life and the Sims are no exception.  There will be ghost dogs.  So many ghost dogs.  Off we go!

MONDAY
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

There's going to be echoes of Zack's death all week but at least it should be positive memories of inheritance.  

And an overload of wants for puppies and kittens.  

Everyone in the house currently wants a kitten (or a puppy OR kitten).  

Meanwhile, outside in the night lurks a wolf.  A wolf licking up a pee puddle.

Maybe this is me personally, but a wolf licking up pee just isn't very intimidating to me.

     After the morning rush to get the kids to school and Brandon off to work, while keeping the three stay-at-home Sims out of trouble, there still wasn't time to rest.  

     Grim has come to claim Poison Ivy.  

     Poison Ivy was Pearly's little gal, named for both her nature hobby and career as a criminal mastermind.  I don't know who will defend the household from the wolves now, since Pepper likes to play with them and lets them eat from the outside food dish.   

Yvonne helped Pearly with the garden that evening so she could grieve.  And surprise!  She got a gardening talent badge!  

The ghost dogs love to haunt the garden and they delight in making Pearly pee herself.  Ghost Rollins has the Monday night shift and for a dog that was such a pleasure when alive he's now an unholy terror.

TUESDAY

Oooof.  The Pandas are super wealthy but that amount lost hurt my poor real-life self. 

After EVERYONE persistently wanted a kitten on Monday, I decided if they all wanted one again on Tuesday then I'd indulge them.  It almost didn't happen because Brandon didn't come home from work with the want, but a game of catch later and here we are.

I think I'm already starting to regret this.  She's spicy right out of the car.  

With that thought, and since the other pet is named Pepper, please welcome Paprika to the Panda-Deppiesse family.

Yung's sister Yamaris was visiting with her whole family.  While the household was out checking out the new kitty, Ghost Reginald was scaring the pee out of Caden inside.

Yung's brother Yardley and cousin Xane also stopped by.  It was kind of cute seeing the cousins playing Don't Wake the Llama with their nephew Vincent.

They played way late into the night, but Yung really needs to get some sleep because tomorrow's a big day - Yoren's birthday!

WEDNESDAY

Pepper is no spring chicken, so I had Vincent come over early with his dog Flint to see if the two dogs are breedable.  Unfortunately they are cousins.

Expect a new dog in the near future!

By the way, everyone wants a kitten AGAIN but Paprika is a handful.  No more kittens!

     Okay, let's get down to business.  Yoren is about to become a teenager!  The whole Panda pack is here to celebrate!

     I love how big the family is.  Yung's household is the primary Panda house, and there is also Yvette & Yeva, Yamaris's house and her daughter Vamaris's household, then Yardley's family.  So many of generation 4 doesn't have siblings so there's definitely going to be a shift as the generations move on.  I have to enjoy these big gatherings while I've got 'em!

Excuse us.  Help yourself to some cake and the buffet inside while Yoren makes himself more presentable.  That sweater HAS to go.  For crying out loud, it's summer!  And just in general, no.  That sweater is a firm no.  

I still roll the dice for their aspiration.  I'm not sure what I was hoping for aspiration-wise but Romance wasn't it!  But we'll roll with it (haha I have puns)

He wants to have 20 simultaneous lovers as his LifeTimeWant and I'm not sure if that will be indulged but he might give it the ol' college try (MORE PUNS!)

This hairstyle was by the same creator as his old one, but looked a bit better with his teenage face.  

I struggled a bit with his clothes.  The females have a huge wardrobe to choose from the boys have a fraction of that.  In the end, I figured this shirt fit both his romancer aspiration and also his tinkerer hobby.

And he's still giving me sassy looks!

THURSDAY

     Thursday was the quietest day of the week.  Everyone still wants ANOTHER kitten... Some are singular kitten wants and others are the puppy or kitten want.  Y'all need to calm down.  

   

     Anyway, since not much happened I'll use this day to showcase their backyard (I'm going to try to remember to do this for each house through the summer).  Their backyard is one of my favorites in this neighborhood.

     Yardley's household came to visit today and I invited his twin Yeva over too so that all the family had a chance to visit this week.  

Video games are a big family bonding event in this house.  That's Yeva on the floor, then Yung, Shayla, and Yardley on the couch.  

Paprika, while not being entirely innocent here I'm sure, is still so cute watching the fish in the koi pond.

But yeah, I'm watching you kitty.

FRIDAY

We're going to have two teenagers before the week is up!  Yorwyck will age up on Sunday!

Yvonne is an only child, so there's no direct cousins for Yoren and Yorwyck.  It's okay, we've already established the Pandas are a big family!  Extended cousins work just fine for a cousin play date.

Except Poison Ivy is out doing her first night of haunting..

I'm sorry Vincent Junior.

Yoren also used the crystal ball to check out his girlfriend options.  This girl is named Raven.  She's a 3-bolter and they seem to get along well.  But let's not forget he's looking to have 20 simultaneous lovers so I don't think he's ready to get tied down to just one lady yet.

SATURDAY

... Did they adopt a kitten or a fox??

Oh, dear.

Well, I tried to take the family to the new pool for a morning swim before the neighborhood playdate.

But they get out of the car and... Everyone wants to fish.

So they packed back into the car and went to the Panda Pond Park.

     Yoren ran into another 3-bolt potential partner, Laiyya.  They instantly hit it off with a water balloon fight and some.... backrubs?  These kids move so fast these days. 

Back home, Pearly's garden is flourishing.  She spends a lot of time working out here.  

As of now, Yoren is the intended heir and I think I better be looking for a gardener for him to marry after he gets that crazy Romancer wants out of his system!

Usually when there's both children and teens in the house I have the kids come over early and the teens a little later.

Since they went fishing this morning, I just invited over ALL of them!

Brandon is reading the sports section and doesn't seem to even notice his house is overrun with kids.

He sure did notice when Yamaris came out to do a little haunting!  

Yvonne has been waiting over a week to see her ghost, but Brandon was not at all excited for this.

Thankfully, the kids weren't spooked.

... Someone turned on the radio way out in the back of the garage.  And so we're smustling in the house.

Zyler, Sebastian, Xora, and VJ had a conversation about elephants while playing a game about llamas.

Yung was still wide awake after the kids went home that night.  So I sent him to get a collar for Paprika.

He did not stick to the shopping list.

I forgot to send someone to supervise him!  (By supervise him, obviously I mean myself! Yay! Dogs!)

I didn't even have a name thought out.  I thought Peeta Panda was hilarious but the household will soon be Deppiesse with no Pandas.  

I couldn't think up another spice to go with Pepper and Paprika.  

Pokey was considered.  But I'm hoping Brandon will take a shine to this dog, so he got a sports name.  MEET PUCK!

SUNDAY

Puck is a bit of a doofus.  And oblivious.

Pepper did NOT want to share her bone.

Pepper didn't mind Paprika but maybe that's because fox-cats aren't interested in dog bones.

They sure do like to sit on the kitchen counters though.  Shoo!

Meanwhile, it's family day AND Yorwyck's birthday!

Time to get the family over.

And Laiyya stopped by as well.  I have a feeling there's going to be a lot of female teen townies in their future.

Oh, that's much better than earlier in the week when they lost $8k!  

     It's party time again!  Let's see if Yorwyck is as sassy as his big brother.

... Okay, let's roll the dice and then I'm dragging him off to get changed.

Fortune and a sports fan.  Just like his daddy.  Though while Brandon wants to own 5-Top Level Businesses (which I'm too lazy to do), Yorwyck wants to be a City Planner.  Simple enough!

I figured an active guy like Yorwyck would be comfortable in some sweat pants and a simple tee.

He immediately began shooting imaginary hoops so I think it was the right choice.

He's still adorable!

     And now it's time to put them all to bed and head over to the first of our Centowski homes.  The leaves are turning and fall has arrived!
