     Well, summer is almost over.  But we have one last family to check in with before week 27 is over.  Vamaris and her husband Caden are the newest house in the neighborhood, but Vama is on the super fast track towards achieving anything and everything a Fortune Sim could want.  

     Summer is going out on a high note!  So let's get moving and I'll introduce you to the household.

MONDAY

As soon as the household was off to work and school, construction on the expansion of their house started.  

The back of the house was extended out and stairs added for a second level. 

The main bedroom was turned into an office and a "mud room" was created.  Great for all the misc items Sims collect!

Upstairs, Quentin's room is front and center.  Vama & Caden's room is the back right corner.

Trio of bathrooms clustered, and then lots of empty rooms.

Later, I moved their exercise bike out of the dining room to one of the rooms.

It looks like a brand new construction, doesn't it?  It's missing some extra touches but right now I've zapped out most of their bank account so I need Vamaris to work a few more days and spend some time giving financial advice online!  

Her parents Yamaris and Fletcher came over for dinner to celebrate that evening.  But now I'm pooped!

TUESDAY

Please don't tell social services, but Quentin is a latchkey kid.  He gets home at 3pm and his dad comes home at 4pm.

His grandma is basically right across the street, he's FINE.

But he had no one to celebrate his first A+ report card with.

Vama's brother Big Vincent came over to check out the upgraded house.  I don't know what Little Vincent is talking about but I'm pretty sure Vama is checked out here on the couch.  

She might be thinking about how much money she spent on finishing the back deck and the new dog house.

I do like how Ying and Linus are synchronized in the dog houses.  They are good pups.  Linus has been one of the quickest pups to adjust to adult dog life.  Hardly any bad behaviors to correct.  Good boy!

WEDNESDAY

Vamaris had the day off, so some landscaping was added.

There was also some doggie whoohoo going on out back!  Puppies are due in a few days!

In other news..... 

I made a boo-boo.  Sorry kiddo.  But do your homework tonight and I'm sure your grades will be back up tomorrow!

Vama's cousin Walter came by to help cheer Quentin back up, along with the rest of his family.  (Zoey, Frazier, Julie, Winifred, and Wendolyn)    

I was amused that Walter picked up the gaming magazine while Quentin was reading the paper.  They did this themselves.

THURSDAY

I had to try to redeem myself.  Plus, Caden doesn't care what job he's working.  So we about to tattle and tell the Chief (aka Zakki Wolosenko)!

And WHEW!  It worked out.  We do have an imminent shortage of doctors in the neighborhood as two of them will be retiring in the fall.  

Though... if he was fired I would probably let him freelance as a musician.   

When Caden was home from work, he took Quentin down to the town pool for the last swim of the season.  It's also Quentin's last day as a child!

Bless his heart, the boy was afraid to go down the slide.

He was much happier just playing in the pool and learned to float.  Most of the Sims just tread water, so I thought this was super cute!

... Richard knows I can see him right?  NPCs (he's the pizza delivery guy) are rare on community lots.  Or maybe we just THINK they are rare because the others are better skilled at hiding than Richard.

He hung out behind the tree for a while then left.  Weirdo.

Before heading home, Caden fired up the grill and cooked up some hot dogs.  

I realize now that the grills are outside (obviously. Safety first), but all of the tables and chairs are inside the building.

I may have to go add a few outside later.  But its not really hurting anything.  Just extra steps.  We'll see.

FRIDAY

PUPPIES!  The dog pregnancies seem to be over rather quickly lately.

Caden missed it.  He stayed home from work, just in case I had pushed it too far letting Quentin come home alone.  

Can't let the kid be taking by a social worker on his birthday!!  

It's okay, Ying!

You can do this!

I had ideas for names picked out.  But I expected the game to give me the max number of puppies since there is room in the house.  

Surprise!  Only two (thank goodness).  A boy and a girl.  Just like Ying and her littermate Yang.  I felt like I needed names to compliment them.

I needed C- names but Ching and Chang sounded .... offensive?  

After some research, I ended up with Cheng and Chang.  Their meanings center around "Fortune" so I felt it was a good fit all around.

It was a beautiful day until 5pm.

I had Quentin's party set up in the back yard and ready to go.  Vama came home though and the downpour started.  UGH.

Fine, I'll moving everything inside.  Meanwhile, Vama, enjoy that hug!  He's not going to be a child very much longer!

This kid is just hilarious.  He's so serious but has these little moments of silliness. 

Friday is also our cousin day.  Since it's also his birthday, I invited not just the immediate cousins but the extended members from the Lind and Panda families.

I kind of like this outfit he grew up into.

You may not remember, but when he aged into a toddler I saw the profile view of his nose and it was smushed against his face.

Please be aware it's looking more like Caden's nose and Quentin is growing into it!

I feel like we've got a lot of Fortune Sims.  He would have been a good Popularity Sim like his dad.  But this works.  Fortune like his mama and shares his hobby (music & dance) with his dad.  

He wants to "Own 5 Top-Level Businesses".  Outlook on that is not good but I'll try to keep an open mind.  Maybe.  

I also had him look for a love match with the crystal ball.

This isn't good.  Xora also has 3-bolts with Vera.  I'm nervous, guys.

See?  This isn't going to be good.  Quentin has already been gravitating to Xora since I used the crystal ball. 

You know, behind the scenes I'm trying to make plans for their futures.  But they continuously remind me that some things just can't be planned. 

Well.  Moving on.

Birthday gifts are good distractions, so here's a piano!  Enjoy!   HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

He'll be busy for a while now.

After everyone went home for the night, I switched up his clothes.  The jacket just seemed a bit much for these last few days of summer.  

But he strikes me as a sharp dresser, so I found him a vest and button up shirt.  Top button undone so the other teens don't think he's too fussy or something. 

Only 3 more kids left to have their teen birthdays in the fall.  Valerie, Uncas, and Ulva.

SATURDAY

We haven't hired a maid yet.  And the bathrooms were looking icky.  So I had Ybittrium come over early Saturday to do some cleaning before the teens showed up to hang out for the day.  

I don't know what he did but he's smokin'

.........  FINE!

We'll clean the toilets ourselves!

I have to do everything around this house.

So the teens show up and start doing teen-stuff.  Those hormones.  

I had an idea of who I might want Wendolyn ending up with but AGAIN, this game reminds me that my plotting and scheming is useless. 

.... Trace's house does have a garden for the nature-loving Wendolyn.  So... I don't hate this idea.

Caden wants to be the master of Linus.  Works for me.  To seal the deal, I have Caden teach Linus the command "Come Here".  Most useful command as far as this game goes, honestly.

This also keeps him out of the teens' way.  They need to socialize with their peer group.

.... WITH adult supervision.

I'm not sure who my sister Melissa is friends with that she was comfortable inviting herself in to this teen shindig and to eat our food.  But here she is.  

I don't even know how long she's been here.  

And don't make that face Sebastian.  Sheesh.

Much later, in the wee hours of Saturday  night/Sunday morning, I sent Chang (the boy pup) to the adoption pool.

I go by their social scores.   Vama is really hitting it off with Cheng.

Still.. we do the pick up at night so there's less drama.

SUNDAY

It's the last day of summer, y'all!!  

Let the Lind family gathering commence.  I thought about inviting over her Panda family as well.  That's a lot of Sims though.  So keeping it simple.  Next week she can have the Panda side over.

Outside, Walter is just trying to play with the puppy.

His parents have to show him that romance never gets old though.

Isaac Wolosenko is Caden's best friend, and showed up on his own.  

Both Caden and Isaac are into music and dance.  Usually they are playing guitars and drums but Isaac had to remind me that he's got the max enthusiasm.  So he plays the piano all fancy in his formal clothes.

Reminds me of Toots.

And that's it.  Summer is over.  Week 27 is over.   I'll post a little intermission but then we'll be moving into fall and Week 28.  There's going to be a lot coming this fall.  Retirements, elderly Sims passing away, a few more teen birthdays, new elder birthdays too, and a couple of the teens will be ready for university. 

I'll be ready!
