Progress Report

Progress Report

After the pitiful haul of new items I made last weekend, I really tried to pick up the slack on Monday.  And I did pretty well, if I do say so myself.  I finished up a bracelet I started on Sunday night, made two new Captain America bracelets, then one that I am calling "Sandswept".

Yay, I make pretty things!  But then Tuesday... I only made one new bracelet.  Wednesday I had a doctor appointment to get a regular cast on my foot then went along with my mom to do a few errands and nothing productive was done at my desk.  Yesterday I convinced myself to make another skull bracelet now that I had replenished my grey cording.  And today I made the cherry quartz bracelet.  Hopefully this weekend I'll get more accomplished!

I shouldn't be too hard on myself though because I have been working on getting some custom orders together.  I also made a Divergent necklace today for an order that came in late last night.  And I've been shopping out and ordering items for some more special request items.  But don't encourage me too much here, okay?  I need to pick up the slack!

In marketing news though, I did manage to get my Wanelo account verified.  You can find The Crafty Warrior on that website now.  Wanelo is pretty cool and I'm sad that I waited so long to get my feet in the pool there.  They have a nifty Chrome extension that I downloaded and it makes adding my products to their site a cinch!  It looks like I need to get a Google Merchant account going to keep my items in their feeds.  So I've added that to my Google apps but my brain couldn't handle deciphering the requirements for submitting my product feed.  I'll table that for next week, and after all my items are added to Wanelo I'll get started on Pinterest or Instagram.

Even if I'm not working a 9-to-5 job and not bringing in enough money with my jewelry to pay the bills, it does feel good to be busy.  Being laid up with a gimp foot is not the holiday I thought it would be!  Too many years I was on the go and working off my mental to-do lists.  I feel so much better laying myself out goals for the day and week.  It's been a great experience, if nothing else!

Thanks!
