If there's one thing a Fortune Sim loves, it's the smell of money in the wee hours of the morning.
Unfortunately, it comes from the death of their loved ones.
Zoey is a cousin to Xane. I guess Julie spent enough time over at Xane's house visiting her friend/co-worker Morrdy that she befriended Xane too. To the point that she landed on his inheritance list!
Another thing Zoey loves in the morning is a little yoga to start the day.
Add in that she's just gorgeous, even in her elder years.
I've said this in probably every one of her blog updates, but you'd hate her if she just wasn't so damn nice.
And I swear she's just showing off now at this point.
Not just for this house or family, but all of them?
You see these dogs standing at attention?
This man is seriously the dog whisperer.
Faramir is moving out of his rotten puppy shenanigan stage, and for the most part he and his momma are very good dogs.

Most of my nature nuts do gardening, maybe a little hiking. Wendolyn is into bugs.
She also feeds the fish in the koi pond that's a work reward from Walter's job. But most of her nature enthusiasm is for...
.... bugs.

Forget what I said about Wendolyn being on a roll.
Sigh, let me go clean her up. They've got family coming over for dinner.
Zaryn and Zyler are both at university now as well as Winifred, but luckily they could take a break from their studies.
I'd ask then if Julie knows that they are playing hacky sack in her living room but there she is, playing with them.

I hate this one, I always guess wrong. But here we go.. we'll give it a whirl.
But her grades can't go up any higher, she's already at an A+.

Our dinner dates tonight are Zoey's niece's family.
(Zakki, Isaac, and Rocco is already here somewhere)
And yet again, we're playing hacky sack in the living room.
Hacky sack is interrupted for a little hanky panky!!

Great, and Frazier is already out haunting. Grim just claimed him a few game-days ago.

I made an oopsie.
I left my game running overnight, and it didn't like that. I didn't notice that like two days worth of pictures were like this until... two days had passed.
I *thought* I got such nice pictures of the two of them....
The screenshots are fine, so there's just going to be some alternating normal pictures and messed up grainy black & white pictures.
I missed out on more important pictures, but hey, here's Wendolyn getting chased by bees again.

Crap, another chance card. But it's a hobby card! But it's her OneTrueHobby. Grrr...

Except after this, I totally forgot all about the secret Nature thing and never went to check it out.
At least Cassie didn't shove her or anything. And honestly, Cassie lives far waaaaaaaaay over there with some houses and woods blocking her house so what could Wendolyn have even seen?

Yamaris came over along with her daughter Vama's household. Big Vincent just stopped by on his own.
I thought I got a decent uncle & nephew picture but no.
No, I did not.
Zoey has been my most Barbie doll-ish of all the Sims and I'm so sad that her time is coming to an end.
By then, I'll have discovered that my pictures are crap.
So many changes are imminent!
Seeing as how it's winter, I think the analogy of a snowglobe being shaken up is really appropriate here!
So Julie's birthday is Saturday and Wendolyn will need to head to college by Sunday morning.
But not now.

Zoey Archer Lind, 82 Days Old
You can't see it, but she's making a really great face here.
UGH.
So ironic that my most photographic Sim gets the absolute WORST last pictures.
Zoey passed away on Thursday, Week 29 at 7:02pm.
She was a twin to the Legacy heir Zack Archer. She joins her husband Frazier Lind, parents, and brother on Grim Isles.
She's survived by her only child Walter (Julie) Lind and her granddaughters Winifred and Wendolyn. She also leaves behind beloved niece and nephew Zakki Wolosenko and Zavoy Archer, as well as her dog Fable.
Zoey was a city planner for Legacy Cove and local business owner of Cove Fitness.
Seriously, Yamaris. YOU? Zoey was your best friend, your cousin, YOUR SISTER-IN-LAW! Your BEST FRIEND!
Not even sad anymore, now I'm annoyed. Damn Sims!
Ahem... Now where was I?
Oh yes, Zoey has left a decent inheritance to her friends and family.
I guess Vamaris Chauncellor, aka THE LAW, will be contacting everyone shortly.
Walter went into the bathroom to have a little cry fest.
Zoey put a teal flamingo light in there and the picture would have been really nice and subdued, but no. I still hadn't noticed the pictures and restarted the game at this point. So no teal picture for us.
To distract Wendolyn, I sent her into the office room to use Zoey's drafting table to try to get another creativity point.
No one ever really goes in this room except to use the computer.
Why is there suddenly 4 extra bodies just hanging out.
Wendolyn is just crying her heart out but Vama and Caden are too busy whacking each other with pillows to notice.

I'm extra salty because I thought I got a picture of Wendolyn on her last day of school.
But I got this.
Fortunately, it was at this point I noticed that the pictures were messed up.
Restarted my game and phew, back to normal!
What is even happening here.
Listen, my girl ain't no snitch.
How is she being punished for handling this herself?
What a way to end her school year. Sheesh.
I'm appalled at how often this happens.
I built a small little cemetery in the corner of the backyard. But I'm considering building a family cemetery for either the Archers or the Linds and sending the graves there.
All these ghosts on every lot .. It's a bit much. Only the Legacy lot is supposed to keep the graves so... 🤔 🤨
The grave on the right is Frazier's and it's perfect.
The grave on the left is Zoey's and she was definitely not a romance Sim. Fortune with a secondary of Popularity.
I looked in SimPE but everything I see related to the aspirations is right.
Cousin day!!!!
Tomorrow will be a busy day.
Gonna do the teen hangout in the morning, then send the teens home and host Julie's birthday in the last afternoon.
But for now...
We could use a little family time with the gen 5 cousins (and some extras that came in off the street!) to brighten this place back up!
Sometimes I split 'em up by family since they are related to both the Lind and the Archer family lines.
But today I teleported both sets of cousins in.
And they are all extended cousins since Walter is an only child. Don't care, come on in, kiddos!
He's a teen townie. I totally would have missed him kicking over the trash can if the SentryBot hadn't been active.
Dammit, Frazier!

Normally, I don't get the teen hangout started until noon.
Kids like to sleep in. Me too, right?
But it's a busy day so about 9am I started teleporting the teens still in the neighborhood over.
Wendolyn and Trace Centowski are dating, I guess. They are "in love".
Wendolyn is a hot commodity for the gen 5 boys. There's not a lot of girls up for grabs to marry, and I'm trying to have as many playables marry each other as possible to help keep down the amount of houses to play. But I think I'm ready to commit to this couple. Only two bolts but I think she'll be happy with him.
So Trace got invited back for Julie's party.
Time for him to meet the parents. Shoulda done this earlier in the week but Julie doesn't mind.
She and Walter are such easy-going Sims!

I'm going to let her have some cake and send Walter to set up the buffet table before she gets a make-over.

Well, I have several crochet/knit type hats but none of them looked right.
So I took a bit of inspiration from the last picture I remember seeing of real-life Julie and picked a hairstyle that resembles that.
She does have an oversized hat to wear for her outdoor gear though!

Wendolyn will be moving into a new dorm though will be girls-only, as the girls' rooms are full at the original Archer Hall.
This is close to what her "Last Day of School" picture should have looked like.
So independent! She doesn't look scared at all.
It's hard to see these kids grow up!
Wendolyn is actually a huge daddy's girl. But I have no idea where he is right now. I think in the shower?
Julie wouldn't miss saying goodbye to her baby girl for nuthin' though!
Wendolyn gets that absent-mindedness she has from her dad though.
This is more entertaining than Julie's spin-up outfit!
I'll get her straightened out, don't worry.
PS - And I did find Walter just standing in the bathroom after Wendolyn left. Just.... standing there... lost in his thoughts, I guess.
I often think Wendolyn looks like her momma. But no, she's Zoey Jr.
I started to change her hair to show off just how damn pretty she is, but this hairstyle really suits her personality.
Head in the clouds, or in the blades of grass looking for bugs. No idea she's gorgeous.
So I just invited over the Archer side to have everyone get some happy thoughts after losing Zoey.
Hacky sack game was a must.
Inside and outside.
I'd insist to Zakki that she should know better, but honestly she's a little nutty. It's gotten worse as she became an elder.
No wonder her and Walter have always been best friends.
I don't know why Zyler is staring at Aunt Zakki like he's a psychopath. Probably is trying to telepathically communicate that he wants to start a new hacky sack game (he's got zero outgoing points).
Guys, write this down.
"Week 29, Sunday. Walter looks like he's going to actually parent his daughters!"
Wendolyn does look like she's getting a little to .. eh... zealous.
Shut 'em down, Walter!
I don't know what Zavoy did to Zakki but she's mad! She couldn't decide whether to cross her arms in anger or wave him off or cross her arms or....
His smirk though is golden.
Winter is over though, it's time to say goodnight!

What a week... what a week. I've missed this game and hopefully I won't be so long with bringing you all the next update featuring the other half of the Lind family! It's winter in-game and winter in real life, so praying that everyone stays warm. I can't always get my Sims to warm up frozen Sims with the hair dryers so just imagine how much help I'll be if any of you freeze! HA!
