 TS2 - Legacy Cove

Week 29

2 Bamboo Blvd

     This Lind household always seems so busy.  So please buckle up, get a nice little snack, and get ready.  On the upside, they are such a wholesome family and I'd definitely love for my Simself to finagle her way in!

     Got your snack?  Then what are we waiting for, let's get this party started!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
MONDAY
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Ahh... Hate to see our loved ones leave us but Fortune Sims do love waking up to extra simoleons in their accounts.

Yamaris has lost a lot of her cousins and loved ones since we've seen her last.
Pearly, Xane, her BFF & cousin Zoey, and Yeva.   Sadly, we'll probably see her join her family and friends on Grim Islands this week.  But not today!  (Wright willing)

Even the kids got a little money from some of their distant relatives like Great-Aunt Zoey!

Sorry, Valerie.  Unfortunate timing!

Kate Gypsy walked by early Monday morning, played a few rounds of fetch with Flint, then continued on her way.

If you'll remember, back in University she and Big Vincent almost got together but he ultimately ended up with Ceera.  Probably for the best, Kate doesn't strike me as the type to enjoy waking up and going for a jog like Big Vincent does!

Oh, here we go.  The chance cards start popping up left and right!

Ceera played the injured Sim.  She's a superstar player herself, she knows injuries don't stop a true athlete!

Ah-ha!! It worked!

I have no idea how much money she won because I didn't think to write down their account balance even before getting all that inheritance (sometimes I do because I'm curious and I like to be nosy).

Then Little Vincent gets a chance card too.

He's a good kid, and not a cheater.  The moral answer hasn't always worked out for us before but it's what we're going with.

AMEN!

Good job, Little Vincent!

I finally found the mod that was canceling out the homework.

Sorry, kids!

I still have the mod though that makes the kids complete the homework faster though, fear not!  Can't live without that one.

I also still have a mod that stops all the hobby phone calls so I just get pop-ups now.

DEFINITELY can't live without that one.

Congrats to Little Vincent! ...And now I'll promptly forget about this and never send him to the lot.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
TUESDAY
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Valerie is supposed to be loading up on eggplant juice to help her get skill points.  She's lagging a bit behind schedule.

But she wants to be a celebrity chef some day so I'm not too upset.

I love all the detail while the Sims cook too!

Hey, hey!   Vera also got access to her hobby's secret lot.  And again, I immediately forgot all about it.

Nice that she's keeping even with her twin though!

On Monday, I didn't have any family over to visit.  Which was a mistake because this branch of the Linds has a LOT of family.

Tonight though, Yvonne's family visited including her boys in college.

Yvonne is Yamaris's niece.  She arrived with her husband Brandon, and sons Yoren & Yorwyck

I love Valerie's outerwear so I feel the need to show it off.  Vera's is perfect for her, too!

Having 3 teens means along with the family visiting, they also bring a lot of friends home.

AND they invite over their love interests.  Little Vincent has a locked want to go steady with my niece Kylie.

She's a bit busy right now smustling.

With my nephew Lucian who came home with one of the kids.

He's not quite the dancer that she is, but he's trying.  Which is more than I can say for the real-life Lucian!

The detail involved with the Sims dancing is always worth watching, by the way.  The secret dance skill makes it really entertaining.

Lucian got off-step at one point, stopped and looked around to see if anyone was watching (I certainly was haha!), then jumped back into the dance on the next step.

I love this game for all these little hidden details!

Okay, but enough dancing.  This was a few days before real-life Valentine's Day so I was extra committed to Little Vincent's love wants.

I have him do a few hugs and flirts to make sure Kylie is on the same level as Little Vincent, because he did abandon her for a bit when Xyla decided he was hers.

Kylie never seemed to witness Xyla's dogged pursuit of Little Vincent though, so she's game.

Soooo he asks her....

"Do you want to go steady?"

I HOLD MY BREATH!

She says yes!

Then they head in separate directions.

I guess all that dancing worked up Kylie's pee meter.  She's off to the bathroom.

Or maybe she went in there to freshen up.

She came back with some big moves!

Oh, mama!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
WEDNESDAY
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Big Vincent dragged two of his kids out of bed early to go jogging in the snow.  I need to find a mod that stops them from continuing to eat when they are full because they get fat at the other houses during the week.

Vera, being a sportsy girl, stays active enough that she doesn't have to go jogging.  Lucky her!

Later when the kids were back home from school, Vera had her own love interests to work on!

She wants to go steady with Ursa.

There was an upset earlier this week at Yvonne's house with a love triangle.  But what's meant to be will be... Vera and Ursa have worked things out.

I don't know which twin makes a cuter couple.. Little Vincent and Kylie or Vera and  Ursa!

Ahh... to be young and in love with Valentine's Day right around the corner.

And we have another couple going steady now!

Vera is the younger twin and even though it seems like she's competitive with Little Vincent, she's really not.

The twins are best friends.

Yardley's household is visiting today as well.

Always a full house here.

I pulled Yamaris away from the poker table to chat with Nicole (who was more interested in Valerie's arts and crafts magazine).

Faroe joined in too!

Looks like the twins will be heading off to college on Friday morning.

Luckily they are currently both in platinum status so should be easy to maintain so they grow up in the best mood.

Well, hot dog!  All three kids got secret hobby lot access.

And at no point at any of these pop-ups did I think, "I should send them to check these lots out."

I've only seen one or two so one day I should go check out the others.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
THURSDAY
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

With the kids off at school, I had the chance to follow Faroe around.

She spent a decent amount of time barking at the dog in the mirror.

Honestly, one of my favorite things with the pets is when they follow the ghosts around the lot.  Barking at the mirrors is a close second!

The stupid poker table and it's attractiveness has given all the Sims here way too much interest in gaming.

Distribute them, don't bring those home!

Oh, boo-hoo.

She'll have that enthusiasm earned back the second my head is turned.

Focus on your sports Vera!  She particularly likes baseball and soccer.  There's also a basketball hoop in the backyard.  Forget about those marbles!

Someone brought Violet Gothier home.  Didn't even realize until now that she and Vera have the same hairstyle.

But in any matter, she needs to go.  I'm anticipating an unwanted visitor soon and need all excess Sims off the lot.

.... Speak of the damned devil himself.

Ugh, GRIM!

Big Vincent has a locked want to "Defeat the Grim Reaper" but I guess since it's old age that brought Grim here we can't plead for her.

I had it locked for you though, Yamaris.  We were gonna try!

This is going to be like the chair my own Grandpa Jim died in.  Not going to feel right sitting in it ever again.

Get off our couch, Grim!

Whew, this is why we had to some of the extra Sims off the lot.

Yamaris's daughter is also here with her family, and there's just not a lot of room for all the mourners to gather.

I did let Kylie stay.

She pushed her way to the front of the crowd and had the decency to look sad, but she's not really upset.  She stood around smiling for a few minutes afterwards.

Honestly, absolutely a Kylie thing to do.

Yamaris (Panda) Lind, 80 Days old.

Preceded in death by her parents Zamaris (Archer) and Rob Panda, her siblings Yvette, Yung, and Yeva, and her husband Fletcher Lind.

She is survived by her sibling Yardley Panda, and her children Vincent Lind Sr and Vamaris Chauncellor, and her grandchildren Vincent Jr, Vera, and Valerie Lind, and Quentin Chauncellor.

Yamaris was a retired Criminal Mastermind, a topic we rarely linger on, and was a master at the poker table.  She also was known to give online financial advice.

She'll be buried beside her husband Fletcher, and we'd also like to note she has the correct aspiration on her urn unlike other recent deaths.  GOOD.

Such carnage left in her wake.

I will miss Yamaris a lot.  She was a fun Sim, great genetics, and even though current Sims have best friends there's nothing like the relationship she had with Zoey.

I should build a Lind family cemetery to keep the two together.

Meanwhile....

Some Sims sobbed and cried and kept thinking about their beloved family member.

Others beelined to the poker table when that inheritance hit.  She's ready to take all their money.

Honestly, SUCH a Kylie thing to do.

Love you, Kylie!!  🖤

She's not very humble either when she wins.

I think Valerie won as many as she lost before I pulled her away from the poker table.

It's late, time for Valerie to head to bed and Kylie to go home.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
FRIDAY
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Time stops for no Sim (at least since I never turn the aging off, ha!) so Friday morning the twins still head off to college.

Little Vincent is still leading the way.

Honestly, he's not a good leader and that's probably a large reason Vera isn't competitive with him.  Usually decisions are made for him.  Like the one to go to college.

I guess Yamaris had enough ambition for the whole family.

Little Vincent just kind of goes with the flow.  His lifetime want is to marry off 6 children and... we'll see.

Because THAT does seem a bit ambitious.

Gosh, they just look so grown up getting in the cab.  So confident and ready.

Lets get Vera on her way too, then I'll go clean them up and they'll be back visiting before you even know it!

Our last look at teen Vera.

And while I plan for Little Vincent to be the heir of the family house, I don't anticipate Vera returning here to live.

An extra bitter sweet moment for her as she heads to the cab.

I also didn't know at this time, but this outerwear isn't available to young adults.  I don't think I've seen it in the adult outerwear either.

So sad because she looked pretty amazing in this coat.

By Vera, go make us proud!!

Yamaris is gone, Ceera is at work, Valerie at school, and now the twins have left for college.

Only Big Vincent is home.

Him and the schnoodles.  Not much to do but watch him do stay-at-home dad stuff.

Real life Ceera isn't opposed to a burger but she is health conscious.

So I picked the salad.

Winner-winner, salad dinner!

She's also a sports-minded gal, Vera gets it from her.

The only benefit to more cuisine enthusiasm is serving platters.  Less filling since they have a ton of produce from their gardening family members.

Friday is COUSIN DAY!

I told you the twins would be back before we knew it, and of course they have to be here to mingle with their cousins!

Vera kept her hairstyle but her sportsy shirt wasn't available either.  Ugh.

Turtleneck and jeans for the win.

I didn't have intentions of changing up Little Vincent's hair, but I like to play around with it.

And I couldn't resist him looking even dreamier than he usually does.

For a Sim that wants 6 children, he does have the right looks to encourage me to pass on his genetics!

Valerie though would like to interrupt this cousin time for a little love-pursuit of her own.

Actually, she wants to "Go Out" with Uncas Centowski.

She asked her dad, got permission.. but I couldn't find the option on the phone.

So I sent them on a date hoping that would satisfy the Want.

Nope, but they had a good time anyway.

Valerie and Uncas are among the youngest (along with his twin Ulva) in generation five.

By all means, they would make a great pair.

And they've already partnered up on their own with no interference from me.  But they have no lightning bolts.  Just some crush hearts.

By the way, should I be concerned that Kylie is their waitress since she and Little Vincent have effectively broken up with him going off to college????

Well, I didn't watch her in the kitchen but she didn't dump food on anyone's head.

I'm not going to tell you guys though how much Valerie paid for these cheeseburgers!!

It's Valentine's Day in the real world at the time of this date so the heart farts are appropriate!

Again, I don't know how far this relationship will go without any lightning bolts but it's just fine for now!

Valerie wants to kiss 'em, but we need to get the first kiss out of the way first.

Aren't they just adorable!

I do kind of hope they build up some attraction to each other since skills and jobs can affect that.

We'll see... we'll see.

In any case,

Happy Valentine's Day to these two lovebirds!

Their date was a smashing success, and Valerie came back home to tell her cousins all about it.

Uncas came by soon after to deliver flowers!  Aww!

I put them on Valerie's dresser in her bedroom.

Now that it's the weekend, and there's not a snow day possible, the snow has really started coming down.

Valerie had to cool off from her date by going outside to build a snowman.

It blocked the mailbox so I had to use cheats to scoot him over later that night.

Ceera has gotten it in her head that she wants to maximize her logic skill, and she's just one point away.

Quentin is always drifting towards the quietest, most low-key activity so he joined her.

Um, WOW.

I put that thing in Valerie's inventory.  Maybe I'll pull it out when she goes to college next week.

But these teenage boys and their hormones!  One kiss and he's bringing out the big gifts!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SATURDAY
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The last few days have been pretty busy so I'm hoping for a more mellow weekend.

Luckily there's not a lot of teens remaining in the neighborhood so the teen hangout has gotten a lot smaller.

There's a rousing tournament of red hands in the living room.

Outside, Valerie is getting to know her sister's girlfriend Ursa better.  They are already pretty good friends as they are both into arts and crafts.

Quentin and Sebastian thought hanging out on the icy sidewalk would be cool.  Pardon the pun.

Oh brother.

Yamaris didn't waste any time on starting her nightly haunts.

Oh, don't you dare!

Valerie, sorry to keep catching you on the toilet.  With a newspaper.

Eat more fiber maybe?

Ghost Yamaris left her granddaughter alone, but she spooked her son.

Big Vincent is not a knowledge Sim in any way, shape, or form.  He wasn't a fan of seeing his mom like that!

Ceera wants to befriend Ursa, so I had her join her at the chess table.  And she's so close to maximizing her logic skill!

Um.

I didn't notice the trash can kicked over until everyone was in bed.

By "everyone", I mean the three remaining Sims.  The household seems so much smaller now.

LESS SIMS TO HELP AVOID BUGS!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SUNDAY
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

OH, WRIGHT!

Never forget the pandemic of weeks past!  I think it was Week 17.

It doesn't matter.  I didn't see the bugs until Ceera found them and tried to stomp on them.

Thankfully I pulled her away before she got sick!

We called the exterminator SO FAST.

Thank you for getting here so quickly, Benjamin Grundstrom.

Save me, SAVE ME!!!!

I mean, my Sims!  SAVE MY SIMS!

... He's never coming here socially, I guess.

He might also be in the wrong line of work, because I don't know what else an exterminator in this game expects to see.

Whew, at least he has everything taken care of in time for our Sunday family dinner.

Since the Pandas joined us for evening dinners through the week, I invited the Lind side of their family for today.

And Quentin has to make a liar out of me for saying he gravitates to the most low-key activity.  Show off.

Valerie wants to "Meet Someone New", so when I saw Kate Gypsy walking by again I sent Valerie out to greet her.

Forgetting that Kate was once a potential love interest of Big Vincent.

To make sure she knows where things stand now, I had Big Vincent lay a big smooch on Ceera.

They aren't very lovey-dovey so it seems to have caught her off-guard.

I don't think she's complaining though!  She rarely smiles this big.

Maybe Big Vincent should do it again!

I'm a bit unsettled by the interest that Little Vincent takes in Kate.

Also, Soupy Stephens stopped by and welcomed himself in.  He's also showing a bit too much interest in Kate for a happily married Sim.

"He's standing right behind me, isn't he?  And his face looks like a thundercloud?"

Even with the eggplant juice, Valerie still has to spend some time studying.

I always think of popularity Sims as being the gossips in the neighborhood and we don't know it yet, but Valerie is in a primo spot.

What the heck?

She saw Big Vincent lay a big ol' kiss on his wife, right?

What the heck is going on........

Okay.. Okay...

Something is tickling the back of my brain with the townie parties held almost daily at the university campus.

I do semi remember Caden and Kate spending a lot of time in a hot tub....

OH SNAP!!

She smacked him!  Right in front of his wife!

Not sure we can call it cheating when he hasn't seen you in weeks, Kate.  He's married, has a teen son..

So, I'm just saying......

Also, Valerie, again... PRIMO spot for watching all this go down.  Even if that's where Grim set up shop to take your grandma.  We aren't going to think about that right now.

Maybe Kate never intended to stay long because she had her coat on that whole time.

By the way, THIS is what I get when I'm hoping for a nice, chill weekend to finish up the week.

Ay-yi-yi!

In better news, Big Vincent finally achieved his other locked Want to maximize his fitness enthusiasm.

I've mentioned this before but going jogging every day isn't enough.  You gotta read the paper, browse the internet, talk about it, and write a few blogs to get there.  Sheesh!

And I just want to say...

Little Vincent NEVER voluntarily mopped, shoveled, or cleaned anything when he was a teen.

Either he's growing up or hoping Kate walks back by.

Boy, I think that ship has SAILED!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
     And with that, dear reader, that concludes the Lind episode of Days of our Sims.   This is supposed to be a fairly drama-free house.  It's always just been chaotic due to the amount of Sims living here and related to them.   I'm thinking I need to go back and browse the old Chauncellor posts because I don't think this is the first time Caden has been "cheating" on Vamaris!
     Hopefully spring will be smoother, but we'll be celebrating Big Vincent & Ceera's birthdays and sending Valerie off to college then!  So stay tuned... for further episodes!
     Including our next house which is also packed full of Sims, the second of our Centowski installments.
Till then, stay warm and hope everyone had as good of a Valentine's Day as Valerie!
-Carissa
