TS2 - Legacy Cove
Week 29
1003 Centowski Street
I am sure everyone is wondering how Cassie is doing, since she's been soooooo busy the last few houses storming in and poking anyone that dared used a telescope in the daylight hours. Fun fact for those that don't know, but the Sim being spied on through the telescope is the "oldest" playable Sim. Meaning, Cassie's character file was created before any of the other playables. Congrats, Cassie! Haha!
In other news, it's time to see how Cassie and her husband Xander (the grouchy twin), their daughter, son-in-law, and grandson are handling winter. Bundle up and off we go!

MONDAY
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Cassie doesn't know how good she has it being married to a man with a 10 in Clean.
She broke the shower, and I had Xander fix it. He wakes up every morning, usually after Cassie. Makes the bed, takes his own shower, and cleans up after her morning. I'm jealous!
Xander's twin brother Xavier isn't handling the recent death of his wife Lindsay, so Cassie is putting in her own work by taking him hiking with her.
Nature nuts, of course they want to go hiking in the winter.
Baby, it's cold outside!
Just because it's cold outside though doesn't mean the bees aren't still swarming.
Sheesh.
Back inside where it's warm and bug-free, Xander's nephew Xavian has brought his family over for dinner.
Xavian and his wife Morrdy have really renewed the spark in their marriage with the girls gone off to college! I've never seen them so hands-on as I have since Xora joined Xyla at school!
Being chased by bees is a very uncomfortable situation (literally for Sims, their comfort levels deplete).
So she was happy to join Xyla on the couch to watch a movie.
Later, Xander had some other ideas of how to make Cassie comfortable!
Cuddle time in the bedroom means its time for me to get outta here with the camera!
And it wasn't until 5:30am that I discovered Xavier never went home.
He was up in the gaming loft playing on the console all night.
He really ISN'T dealing with Lindsay's death well at all!
TUESDAY
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You know these dogs are up bright and early watching for everyone's favorite mailman.
Laurel is an longtime favorite and as a very good girl she deserves all the lovin'.
Chessa had to do her guard dog duties though and scare off my brother-in-law Brad Maxwell.
GNOME THIEF!!
Thankfully my nephew Chase isn't a gnome thief.
I did have to give his Sim a new haircut though when he came home with Trace after school.
Real life Chase is now in the Army National Guard with a less spiffy haircut than before!
I'm going to confuse myself here, but Trace and Chase need to settle down.
Trace has only 4 nice points but I'd think that would be enough not to go around giving everyone a noogie!
Trace is into fitness and works out every day, so I'm really not sure who would win in a fight. Let's not find out!
I had to screenshot this just to remind myself that this pop-up isn't prompted by death and heartache!
I thought about having Cassie retire.
But... it's winter and there's not a lot going on, especially for a nature Sim.
So it's nice to get her out of the house for a few days. I'll have her retire before spring.
I don't know if anyone remembers Teeny, but she was one of my most favorite schnoodles. Her coloring was flipped from what I'd expect and she was one of a kind in so many ways!
She's a very good ghost dog that does not go scaring anyone.
Thank you for that, Teeny!

WEDNESDAY
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Laurel doesn't have a lot of time left with us, so I made sure to get a few extra pics of her today.
She and Cooper were a good pair.
(Cooper on the left, Lauren on the right)
Laurel is 100% Cassie's dog.
They used to take walks and hikes every day but Laurel tends to stay home more these days.
Elder dogs need more sleep than elder Sims, I guess. But Laurel still gets lots of attention, don't worry on that!
Later, Cassie gets a hobby chance card while at work. Not sure why a Celebrity Chef has a bug collection at work... but.. we'll be adults and talk to the coworker.
And that was wrong.
Sheesh.
What kind of bug enthusiast doesn't want their collection labeled correctly?
We have bigger things to worry about anyway, like making sure Trace is ready to head out to university.
He'll need some of Cassie's produce, stuff for his dorm room, and a painting or two to help build the new boys residence hall.
It's Xavier's family's turn to be invited for dinner. He's back up in the gaming loft again.
Reminds me of when I was a kid and visiting friends with a Nintendo. I was addicted to Super Mario Brothers.
And I still have my original NES and games! Only no gun for duck hunt :(
Since Xavier was gaming away inside safe and sound, he wasn't with Cassie when she got into the bees.
Yes, AGAIN.
These Sims, I swear to Wright...
THURSDAY
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So cute, the dogs surrounding Hun Pai waiting on their pets!
Holy Wright, Cooper, wtf!?
I absolutely was not expecting Cooper to chase the mailman off the lot!
I don't even remember the last time this happened to Hun!
Oh... Suddenly it makes sense.
Maybe Cooper just sensed Grim approaching.
And bless Hun Pai's heart, he didn't actually run off the lot. He stayed to pay his respects to Laurel.
I want you all to know what an absolute good girl Laurel has been.
Such a sweet dog and if she ever made a fuss in her puppy years or when she was newly an adult, I don't recall now.
Laurel was Cassie's bestest friend.
Mate to Cooper.
Born to Luna, and Louie, she had two littermates Lotus and Linden.
She's also the mama to Checkers, Cruz, and Chessa.
I don't think we'll see Cassie join Laurel this week on Grim Isles but trust Laurel will be right there waiting for her.
Goodbye, sweet Laurel!
Awww, poor Chessa!
Whoever was in charge of designing pets in this game really knew what they were doing.
They break my heart so much!
Thursday was otherwise a quiet day.
Except for more dang chance cards. But this seems familiar, didn't we just have this with Uri? I feel like I'm cheating as I click "Pass on it".
WELL THEN.
I guess all the bugs have been worked out, pardon the pun. Its not longer catching all the butterflies on fire.
Hasn't Cassie been through enough today though? Dang.
Later that night when Treva and Cassie were back home from work (not the same job but they have the same schedule Tues-Wed-Thurs), Treva reminded Soupy of exactly who he is married to!
Not going to lie, his eye has been wandering lately.
Staring at Kate at the Lind house.. constantly wanting to call Treva's niece Ursa now that she's in college.
But I think Treva has his attention again now. He better remember, anyway. I know how to build a pool with no ladder.

FRIDAY
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, I tried to get a picture of Trace for his last day of high school. I wanted one of him in his private school uniform but I didn't catch him while still in the house.
It's cold outside so he spun into his outerwear.
Oh well, at least I got a picture!
Since Cassie's workweek is over, it's time to let her retire.
Celebrity Chef doesn't bring in the big retirement bucks that you think it would. But it's more than Xander who just plain wanted to quit and gets nuthin'!
Congrats, Cassie!
Just a few days left in winter, then you can get back outside to your garden!
Xavier walked by a bit later with his Dalmatian Leonardo.
Chessa (left) and Leonardo (right) are cousins so it was nice to let them finally meet. You'd think living across the street from each other, they'd already be acquainted.
Go figure!
Go figure, indeed. Trace's last day of school and they are serving dodgy fish.
That's a pass.
I'm not sure if $50 simoleons is enough to keep me quiet, but it worked for Trace.
Friday is usually Cousins Day and it's no exception here!
Ursa is probably Xander's favorite nibling, and it's so cute that he's heart-farting while talking to her about Cassie.
Both Xander and Ursa are romance Sims so I hope he gives her good advice!
FINALLY.
Finally, she's coming back with something besides bees, poison ivy, or skunks.
She must be trying out a new hiking path. Good job, Cassie!
Well, after Captain Hero aka Soupy Stephens got home from work, Xander loaded the boys up into his Jeep and headed downtown.
Downtown for Legacy Cove isn't a separate neighborhood, by the way. Just a street filled with the few town businesses.
Dear Reader,
This is Champ!
He's a liver-spotted Dalmation and I wish I knew how to avoid the black eyes but it's okay.
Was this the right time to get a new dog?
Maybe. Maybe not.
But really, there's never a "right time" to get a new dog. You just gotta do it.
Champ got to meet my sister, Melissa Mac, before they headed back home.
PS - for the life of me, I can't remember this girl's name. But I recently gave her a makeover and she's looking so much better.
Too bad most of the kids are spoken for or already off to college!
It's our last day with Trace as a teen.
Tomorrow morning, he'll be off to the big University!
Guess that's why Xander was pushing for the new dog. Losing Laurel to Grim and Trace to school will make the house feel a lot more empty.
Champ's first order of business was to chase his tail.
All those 'kids' there and he's just going to play with himself.
Champ's a Leo and I picked his personality as I thought the boys would. You'd think they'd want a more active dog, but since both Xander and Soupy are gamers I think a couch potato would suit them better.
This reminds me of a few Halloween's back when my family gathered at my grandma's to help pass out candy for Trick-or-Treat.
I had two of my dogs, my uncle had his dog, and my sister had one of hers. All of us hanging out on the driveway.
A little girl walked up, looked around, and said very seriously, "You all have a lot of dogs"
Anyway, Champ is a genius and in the time it took me to tell that story, he's already learned how to "Come Here".
Xander wants to get him a job in security.
I'll think about it.
Inside where it's warm, there's chips and dip being served up for dinner.
They have something like 1200 units of fresh produce in the fridge, so I'm super happy Xander can serve up platters. Everything else is way too filling.
Back outside, Trace walked right up to Ghost Laurel and it seems Ghost Teeny taught her right!
No spooking, haunting, or scaring going on here!
Just lots of digging. At least they aren't leaving holes like some ghost dogs I've seen.
SATURDAY
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I actually almost forgot to have Cassie load Trace up with some eggplants, strawberries, lemons, and a few other veggies for the fridge.
The eggplants are for skill points, and strawberry lemonade will boost their aspiration to platinum. Very useful at school!
Just in time, because it's time to say goodbye for now.
He'll be back to visit and show off his makeover, and of course he'll be returning back home after graduating since he's an only child and the sole heir.
Last look at our teen before he loads up the cab and heads off into the afternoon cloudless sky.
First thing I'ma do when he gets to school is cut his hair!
Bye, Trace!
Behave yourself and study hard!
Eh, really he doesn't have to worry too much. He wants to be a Hall of Famer and as a Fitness enthusiast, he won't have problem meeting the body skill requirement.
Ummmm... Hello.
I guess no one told the teens that the Saturday hangout is cancelled.
They just showed up.
Uncas, I can understand since he's family. But Shayla surprised me.
I DID teleport Vamaris over. Treva and Vama were the two youngest of Generation 4 and the last two to graduate from university. (Back in their day).
But Treva had to leave to go to work and left Vama alone with her elderly parents for a few hours.
Soupy, aka Captain Hero, returned home from work first.
Ah yes, this is the Sim in charge of keeping our neighborhood safe.
Me thinks he tends to worry too much about the damsels in distress and not the rest of the 'hood.
Oh, and this is Trace all grown up.
Once a scary-evil-looking toddler, he's now really growing into his features!
And while Uncas may be the boy with the Centowski name, Trace is the one with the Centowski nose!
There's no growing into that nose, it just grows right along with them!
He looks quite dashing too in his new outerwear, thinking about Fortune Sim things.
This makeover has renewed my interest in Trace and I'm excited to see him grow, graduate, and take his place as heir to 1003 Centowski Street!
Even though Vama was the only Sim purposefully invited over, lots of other Sims came by.
I swear, Xander is throwing daggers at Yardley Panda for talking to his wife.
But Yardley's a great Sim and happily married. He's probably just seeing why I haven't made it to his house yet!
And since I've shared a picture of Soupy in his work uniform, here is Treva returning home from her job as a Space Pirate.
Her uncle Xavier was the original Space Pirate of Legacy Cove. Keeping it in the family!
Xavier is here again too.
Soupy decided they could feast on grilled hot dogs tonight.
Everyone's going to get soooo faaaaaat.
Later, after everyone went home and no one but me could see... Xander made sure the dogs got some rubs and pets before he headed to bed.
He may have just 1 nice point, but he does love his family, his nieces and nephews, and his pups.
That's good enough for me.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SUNDAY
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I had locked Xander's Want for Champ to get a security job while I thought about it. Fine, we can always have him quit if it's ridiculous. But I don't remember if the rewards for this have been unlocked yet.
I'm also liking Cassie's new hiking trail.
MUCH calmer to bring home a single bug than a swarm of bees.
She returned home from her hike in time to help greet all of the family coming over for the big Sunday dinner.
There may actually be dinner, there may not. But the family gathers either way.
Xander of course has to seek out his favorite niece Ursa again. I love these two!
This is twice this week that they've got this pop-up without a Sim death. Just Laurel's, and it's not directly after that.
And you know what, in the Sim world, it has been a pretty good week.
They didn't get much snow this week and by the lack of outerwear on most of them, I'd say its really starting to look like spring here!
I'm going to be sad as the extended family starts to whittle down. I really like the big family gatherings.
There's a crowd inside as well, along with one tiny interloper.
Valerie Lind was walking by and decided to join the fun.
Champ missed his first day of work, by the way.
So after he woke up from his nap, I had Soupy work with him on the command requirement for a promotion.
So at least the time wasn't wasted.
And in the wee hours of the morning, Treva finally got to pop the Want she's had locked all week. To beat Ulva at a game.
Third time was the charm, as she's tried twice before tonight to beat her!
Now we can all get some sleep!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And now the Centowski family bids you adieu as we move back to one of the Panda households to continue the winter season. Next week I expect at least one visit from Grim as Xander is now 81 days old. Cassie's now 77 days so with a swig of elixer, she may hang in here with us until summer.
Thanks for reading and happy Simming!
