TS2 - Legacy Cove - Week 23 - 3003 Archer Street

TS2 - Legacy Cove - Week 23

3003 Archer Street

You may have heard from Yvette and Yeva that there's some construction going on next door.  They have a new neighbor, Xayden Centowski!  Thanks to the cold germs taking over the neighborhood, they haven't been over yet but give them time!

We all know Xayden already.  He is one of Deb and Xane's twin sons.  Twin brother to Xavian.  Nephew of Xavier/Lindsay and Xander/Cassie.  Grandson of Zayna and Trevor.  Great-grandson of founder Zane Archer.  (Easier breakdown:  Zane -> Zayna -> Xane -> Xayden)  He's part of the Generation 4 gang and just graduated from University and striking out on his own.

So I started with a shell of a house set up to resemble Yvette and Yeva's home next door.  Gotta keep the neighborhood aesthetic!  Then since Xayden is probably going to remain a bachelor, I started simple.

A little too simple... I forgot the bathroom.  I have a feeling that I probably did the same with Yvette's house when we started building it because I put the bathroom in the same spot as hers.

And even though he's a potential bachelor, how did I let him get this far without a first kiss?  I locked that want and then looked for an eligible townie to pop that want.  With the help of a crystal ball (downloaded I believe from MTS2 since that's where I get most of my mods), we ended up with....

     My sister.  Teressa Bowcrafter.

Previous mentions of Teressa have involved her and my sim fighting, her poking other random townies in the chest, and her yelling at our nephew Lucian for doing a fart prank.  This is all about accurate, my other nephew Chase (her real life son) did an excellent job assisting me in creating her.

Maybe she's like Komei Tellerman and just needs to find the right sim to melt her heart and chill her out a little.  Ya'll just pray for Xayden.  First step is making friends!

Meanwhile... I realize the reason I have been missing the gypsy is because she's banned by default.  What what what!  I fixed that here, and just in time!

The gypsy's name is Phoebe Andersen and I'm glad we finally get to see her.  Like with every other lamp we've gotten, it's been set aside though.

Xayden wants to be a Business Tycoon.  So far, there's been no openings in the Business career track.  So he spends his days doing financial consulting online and investing in the stock market.

The financial consulting has been more lucrative so far but at least he isn't loosing money in the stocks.  Between his money-making efforts, he's still been working on Teressa.  He told her about his brother that plays the violin.  She told him about the sister she fights with.

Whatever, it's working.  She's been just a delight with him.  They managed crush hearts all on their own.

I let that simmer for a bit because Xayden unlocked another large want all on his own.  He's maxed his sports enthusiasm!  Nice work, Xay!

FYI, Chase walks by sometimes but doesn't intervene.  I think he knows the neighborhood is rejoicing now that Teressa is preoccupied and no longer jabbing her finger into their chests.

Thursday arrives and STILL no openings in the Business career.  It's a same he doesn't want a job in the oceanography or natural science career.  He's had 3 offers to be a rogue botonist.  We're holding out for our dream job though, even if the stocks are still paying out low numbers.

But between the stocks and the financial consulting, he had enough to do a few improvements to his new home.  It now has siding!  And minor landscaping!

I've been using the empty garage as a corral to contain his family members when I teleport them in.  There's a door I lock so they stay in there until I see if they are infected with the plague.  I forgot to lock the door again I guess after Deb visited (she is plague negative) and Xavian walked right up to Xayden.  Guess who's not negative?

By the grace of Wright, with the help of relaxing on the bed and a hot bubble bath, Xayden was better within 24 hours.  But, mental note to have Deb gift him some soup just in case this isn't cleared up through the next week.

Meanwhile... for a Fortune sim, being unemployed is the pits.  He hasn't complained too much thanks to the income through the consulting and investing though.  Plus, he's an easy going sim.  He doesn't really complain much about anything.

But Saturday still.... no Business career openings.

He stayed up until midnight Sunday to check again.  Still nuthin!

So that's where I had to leave Xayden.  Hopefully next week he'll be able to work more on his Fortune aspirations and also get that first kiss!  Pucker up, Teressa!  Xayden needs some luvin'!

Thanks for reading and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

TS2 - Legacy Cove - Week 23 - 102 Bayview Drive

TS2 - Legacy Cove - Week 23

102 Bayview Drive

It's Week 23 in Legacy Cove but only just starting the 2nd week of Zakki & Isaac's household.  It's kind of crazy that in 23 weeks we're on the cusp of Generation 5 beginning.  I was kind of hoping that at least one of them would want to have a baby and give me the green light... but... Well, I'm getting ahead of myself here.  Let's meet the happy couple again!

Zakki (Archer) Wolosenko
Fortune - Sagittarius - Sports fan
3-4-9-8-1

Isaac Wolosenko
Popularity - Aries - Music & Dance
7-9-9-3-2

They really are a happy couple, by the way!  They seek each other out constantly, and only have 2-bolts.  They both like pink.  Both of their names are five letters with the 3rd & 4th being double-letters (zaKKi & isAAc).  They still have some odd couple quirks.  Zakki's not the neatest, but Isaac keeps cleaning up after her.  He doesn't seem to mind, which is more than I can say for my personal, real-life household!

On with our week!  They started the week with not even $5k simoleans but for just starting out, I feel they are doing just fantastic.  They quickly started running their savings up higher with some promotions!

I mean, in my humble opinion Zakki, you are all set to start on baking Gen 5.  Don't let me rush you though... I just put off the babies until the younger gen 4 was about out of uni so the age gaps weren't so wide.  With Generation 5, the inter-family marriages will start.  I'll maybe do a post about this on it's own before starting Week 24's updates.

Monday also brought a thoughtful wedding-related gift from Zakki's dad, Zack.

I won't post the multitude of pictures but trust any Sim that stepped onto the lot thought about stealing it.  It must be a highly prized gnome, whoda thought?

The Archer family seems to be fairly clear of the germs going around the neighborhood.  So through the week I invited over other couples in the family to test the grounds before running into any problems at the Sunday family dinner.

Zakki and her cousin Walter were best friends growing up, so I'm just delighted to see their spouses also befriending each other and getting along!  And no chances of Jerry Springer shows here.  Isaac and Zakki don't leave each other alone enough to think about it.

Wednesday, Isaac had the day off and spent his time with his other love;  His guitar.  He reached a personal high with that and still had time to work on a needed charisma point for his next promotion!

Then, I fumbled.  I forgot about the pandemic in the game and let Isaac and Zakki go to Toots' bar.  And they took Zavoy and Laken with them.  I was blissfully forgetful that infection is a cough away.

It had turned into quite the little family reunion with Aunt Zoey joining Zakki at the pool table.  It was about this time that another townie also joined in the game and I started remembering... GERMS!  NO!

Luckily I regained my senses and sent them home, just as one of the Centowski clan showed up.  Possibly infected.  I shoved Zakki and Isaac in the car and they drove off leaving Zavoy and Laken behind.  .... I'm sure they'll get a ride back home with Toots.

     Household Infection Status:  Negative.

     Whew.

Of course, the next day Zakki brought a coworker home.  Yardley apparently works at Cove General Hospital with her.  Again, luckily, we just left Yardley's house on the last update and I know I left him and his wife Kayla on a negative status as well.

     Whew.

I tried to have them do a date night at home, where I learned they have more matching couple traits such as both of them like to whoo-hoo in the car repeatedly.  That was going well until the gnome brought more drama.

The rain put the fire out, which is a blessing because neither Isaac or Zakki would stop panic-dancing long enough to break out an extinguisher.  Let alone think about turning their back to the fiery gnome to call our fireman Lee Gast.

That pretty much ended date night though.  Showers and bedtime, ya'll got work in the morning.  The next morning also brought a nice little surprise in the mail!

In the back of my head, I think I recall this happening before but it's been a long time.  I absolutely still play this game because it still surprises me.

What wasn't a surprise was Isaac coming home to announce another promotion!  He's been working hard on that charisma skill!   This has been a great career for him since the music passion has already maxed his creativity.  Way to go, Isaac!

Then Saturday, he did it again!  These two are financially ready for a baby and I've been quietly... gently... trying to push them towards the decision on their own.  Do Fortune and Pop sims ever WANT a baby?  I should maybe do some research on that.  I'm pretty sure future Grandpap Zack has a want for a grandkid and he's a romancer.  I'll have to double-check that though too.

We ended the week with the Sunday family dinner.  I can't believe the two pink sisters-in-law weren't BFFs before this!!

Isaac cooked up pork chops and I had to nudge Zakki to remember to do the clean up afterwards.  These Sims!  Just like children and boyfriends!  😉

And that's all, folks!  To sum it all up, no babies, but we do have a gnome!  I guess if all else fails, we'll do some landscaping next week since their yard is pretty bare.

Thanks for reading and happy Simming!

TS2 - Legacy Cove - Week 23 - 3 Bamboo Blvd

TS2 - Legacy Cove - Week 23

3 Bamboo Blvd

It's summertime with Yardley and Kayla Panda!  Shawn is away at university still so maybe it will be a nice, lazy summer for the Generation 3 inhabitants and their pups.  Let's get the refresher started on our residents.

Yardley Panda
Fortune - Aquarius - Nature nut
3-3-5-10-7

Kayla (Fancey) Panda
Knowledge - Libra - Arts & Crafts
4-8-4-4-10

Yang

Well, we start out with some inheritance from Aunt Zayna.  That of course helps soothe our Fortune sim Yardley's emotions.  Kayla though never really seems to have a lot of strong emotions.

The neighborhood is still suffering from their own pandemic.  The Panda family has not been as infected as the Centowski clan.  Also, luckily for Yardley and Kayla, they have secondary aspirations in family.  I know Shawn is sick, so we start out inviting him over while Yardley is away at work and Kayla is working on her art, so there's no socializing except with Yang.  Then I set out the soup....

Shawn took the bait!  We have one more healthy Sim in Legacy Cove!!  I was going to have Kayla stock up on some more soup, but then I decided maybe we'll leave the cooking to Yardley.....

The rest of the week was low-energy.  Kayla and Yardley did some updates to the house before Shawn graduates and returns home, starting with a new art studio for Kayla.  I thought about building it over the garage but they currently have empty rooms upstairs.  Using what we have already sounded simpler.

It still needs a few more touches but we'll add them as we go.  This feels like a nice starting point.  No more making messy pottery in the family room or drippy paint in the bedroom!

Yardley, our household outdoorsman, set up a chicken coop (I'm pretty sure I downloaded this from MTS2, the chickies don't run around but it still helps complete his farmboy wannabe vibe).

And lastly, just a small addition.  Yardley keeps bringing bugs home so I figured it was time to display his captures.  Poor butterflies.

Well, I hope they enjoyed their slow, easy week!  Next week Shawn will be back home and I'm pretty sure being a family sim he'll be ready to settle down and start his own brood sooner than later!

Thanks for reading!

TS2 - Legacy Cove - Week 23 - 1003 Centowski Street

TS2 - Legacy Cove - Week 23

1003 Centowski Street

It's a nice quiet week at the final Centowski house in Legacy Cove.  Treva is at university and it's just Xander and Cassie at home with their dogs.  Time for a quick review of the household occupants.

Xander Centowski
Romancer - Taurus - Gamer geek
10-9-5-10-1

Cassie (Greene) Centowski
Pleasure - Sagittarius - Nature nut
2-7-8-8-7

Teeny

Laurel

Earlier this week, the matriarch of the Centowski family tree passed on.  RIP Zayna!  Her boys all got a piece of her inheritance, of course.  So Xander and Cassie are already starting the week off financially better than last.

Then.... It's been a while since I played.  I totally forgot about the plague.  Until this innocent looking lady started coughing and suddenly everyone is sick again.

She gave the germs to Xander and Cassie's daughter Treva so she is now quarantined to her dorm.  There's no family sim in this house so no 'grandma's chicken soup' to help set this right.  The week is getting quieter and quieter already.

"What?  An introvert's dream week at home with the dogs while staying in our PJs?"

Eh... not quite.  There's the little matter of Xander's birthday.  I carefully teleported in any family member that I thought might be healthy.  I didn't get many birthday pics though while I was staring down each Sim as they breathed to see if they coughed or sneezed.

As the pizza man showed up, I heard a cough.  I had already got rid of oldest brother Xane because he sat at the table to have a coughing fit.  I didn't catch who coughed this time.  SO GOODBYE EVERYONE.  I SAY, GOOD DAY!!

Enjoy your dogs, jammies, and your gardening, Cassie.

It's been a long time coming, but the two celebrity chefs needed a kitchen make-over.  I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted when I started yanking counters out and trying new ones, but I am pretty pleased with the end result.  Maybe not my personal taste here but it seems to fit for Xander and Cassie.

That's Xander's birthday gift.  His mom's inheritance well-spent, I suppose.  It actually didn't cost as much as I anticipated so I put a couple other small updates around the house, then called it a day.

Actually, we'll call it a week.  That's really all for these two!

See you next update with Yardley and Kayla!
