Week 26
Archer House
It feels good to be back, especially as spring comes to Legacy Cove as well as real life! Week 26 is beginning and I'm super excited to share their updates with the one or two people that may read this! As always, I'll re-introduce the residents.

Mondays, as always, are busy busy busy. While Zaryn was off at school working hard for her A+, Zyler discovered his OneTrueHobby!
A tinkerer!! A TINKERER! At one point in time, the neighborhood was saturated with them. But now there's 4 others thus far, and Zyler makes 5! But the best part is.... His great-grandfather Zachariah was a tinkerer and they still have his robot station! I'm excited!
Zaryn also came home with a new friend. Trenten Potter is a new student at school and I'm pleased that Zaryn is be-friending him. You know it means a lot when the unofficial princess of the town takes interest in you!
And Laken came home with a promotion on Monday. She's got a LifeTimeWant to be a Rock God and she's steadily making progress on that.
Monday is going to end on a bad note though, because the ghost of Antoinette scared the pee out of Zaryn. Poor kid was super tired and now she's super tired and super stinky. Rude, Antoinette! She's just a kid!
Tuesday brought puppy snuggles though, so we're starting off on a better vibe! The pups come TO Zyler so don't think they look like they aren't enjoying his hugs.
While Acapella is getting the snot hugged out of her, Pixel went for a calmer approach with greeting the mailman. These dogs at the Archer house are all so great with the mailman.
But... the next visitor wasn't so welcome.
Amma's time with us has come to an end. I'm so sad to see her go. She's such a doll! Rest in peace, sweet Amma!
I sure do need a distraction now. The howls from Acapella and Pixel break my heart. So I have Zack lure them away, and while doing so I notice he has a want to play the piano? What in the devil? Maybe I've just never seen/noticed this before because they are ALWAYS on that dang piano.
While I've successfully distracted myself, Zinc 2.0 whisks Zyler off to the garage for a bath. Do you know how many bathtubs are INSIDE the house? So now I have to make sure someone brings him inside again so he doesn't wander off into the street.
At least he's clean for his birthday on Wednesday! Laken's promotion came with Wednesday and Thursday off, which works out just perfectly for her kids' birthdays! She has a bunch of sick days still too, but it's nice to not have to stalk her at carpool time to cancel her heading off to work.
Okay! So let's make this toddler spin into a child!

While we wait, check out the best birthday present ever! Courtesy of Acapella and Pixel. Remember when I sent Zack to distract them after Amma's death? It resulted in puppies.
And Ta-Da!! Zyler's makeover is complete! He's a good-lookin' lil guy, even if I may be a bit biased.
And I didn't notice until I started to move the camera away, but WOW does he look a lot like his dad! Just got Laken's eyebrows.
No one appreciates the cleaned-up Zyler though. Too busy playing in the garage with the puppies. I'm really not sure what the obsession with their garage is this week, because everyone was just constantly out there.
Either playing with the puppies.... or dodging the ghosts. UGH. AMARIS, I NEED TO TALK TO YOU, MA'AM!!!
Yeah, I moved the piano for the party and Zavoy was stomping his feet because he couldn't access it to play, and what do you know, here comes Amaris to taunt him.
Ghosts are here, party is over. Time to move on to Thursday. A bright, sunny, ghost-free morning where I got a nice picture of Zaryn & Zyler hugging before her birthday later today!
And during the party, I also got pics of her with her cousin Rocco Wolosenko. They are adorable!
Now, I'd like to apologize for hitting you with so many birthday pictures in one update, but I can't. I'm way too excited for our first Generation 5 teenager! Here we go, Zaryn!

How cute is she! I also had Kylie grow up to a teenager as well, since my real-life niece already has her learner's permit. Time flies.
And... Introducing the newest teen to Legacy Cove....
Zaryn is a Fortune sim, and she wants to be a World Class Ballerina someday. At first, I was a little disappointed by her LTW. But..... just like Zyler has the tinkerer connection to his great-grandpa, Zaryn has the ballerina connection to her great-grandma Antoinette. I love it. LOVE IT. I'll make sure Zaryn inherits the old ballerina studio lot when she becomes an adult.
I was also at first a little upset at her rolling Fortune. Because Aunt Zakki was a Fortune sim. And Great-Aunt Zoey was a Fortune sim. But then that made me realize she's got a tradition to follow! Zoey is also a fitness buff like Zaryn so that's pretty cool. Zakki is into sports, which isn't too far off stat-requirement-wise from fitness. Basically she's going to follow in the footsteps of her aunts and they are pretty impressive. So rolling Fortune is a positive!
But gosh, doesn't she look so much like her momma Laken? I realized while playing their house that Laken and Zaryn end in the same syllable. I've been getting their names mixed up in my head. I know I tend to like picking names that give a nod to family and ancestors, but this time it was unintentional.
Whew, anyway, so I'm exhausted at this point. So much is happening! I thought Friday would be a nice chill day, with just Rocco visiting for some cousin time. But wait! Laken will not be held back! She's come home with that last promotion!
Watch out Legacy Cove, we have a Rock Goddess in our midst! Her LifeTimeWant achieved, she came home to show the other side of the complex Sim known as Laken Dallas Archer.
Two huge goals, one night. That's how this girl rolls. I'm really proud of her though. Really proud. But we all need to call it a night. It's a big day again tomorrow.
Saturday is kid playdate day. But before the kids arrived, I had to make a choice on what pup to keep and what pups to send out into the world. Zack wanted to be the master of Lyric, and so she was a front-runner. But Zack is nearing the end of his lifespan. When I checked all of the relationships of the household with the pups, Lyric was lacking a bit with the other four Sims. Zyler was a big fan of Lady though. This was a hard choice. Ultimately, I decided to let them keep Lady.
OH MY WRIGHT, I have enough emotions giving up my pixelated dogs even though I know they are going to good homes in the neighborhood and I totally control who gets them. But Zack about killed me. He was sobbing when Lyric was taken away. Why does this game do this to me? MY HEART!!!
Well, I distracted him. Because my soul was being crushed. I had him paint a picture of Zaryn. It'll be there for them to remember her when she leaves for college.
Hey! It's playdate day! Where are all the kids?
I told Rocco he doesn't have to clean, he doesn't live here. But he said he likes it, and he likes the dogs, and he was happy to do it for them. Okay, little man. Okay. I get the hint. I'll put in a good word with Zakki & Isaac to help you get one of those puppies. Maybe Lyric so Zack can easily come visit her.
Wait, what time is it? EVERYONE GO HOME! The ghosts are on the loose! Though Toots has been very well behaved so far. Probably because she has living family members and her bed is still as she remembers it.
Sunday arrived with another bright and sunny morning. Lady grew up into an adult dog. I thought she'd look a lot like Acapella, but turns out she's almost the spitting image of Pixel. Zyler is, of course, totally in love with her.
Zaryn is already training to be a ballerina. Antoinette's ballet barre is in the bonus room that I consider the 'attic'.
Sundays are for family though, so I send her off to get cleaned up. Meanwhile, Zack adores his grandson Rocco and they are constantly together when Rocco visits.
Now, listen. Zack was playing chess with Zyler when 6pm rolled around. I had to hold my breath. How terrible would it be for Grim to show up and interrupt their chess game?
But we get another day, at least! Zack is currently at age 82, so the risk is high. Big sigh of relief, go ahead. Let it out. Though it was only me worried. Everyone else was enjoying the hot tub.
We aren't going to chance Grim showing up late, so time to send everyone home and these Sims to bed!
