Louie

Lachlan and Lotus

I've been trying to get group pictures of the pets to try to cut down on the number of pictures.  But unfortunately for this house, Grim moved faster than I did.  Poor Louie!

I'm going to miss this ol' guy.  He was such a chill dog.  Never caused any problems!  This is only goodbye until Xavier meets you again on the rainbow bridge to Grim Islands, Louie!

One of the reasons I missed getting the group pic of the Dalmatians is because I was amused by Xavier teaching Ursa to walk.  I guess I haven't been paying enough attention because it feels like the first time I noticed the elders grab their back as they stand back up.

Xavier sure does like being a grandpa though.  Any votes on a "grandpa" name for him?  I kind of feel like he would be a "Pappy".

If anyone is really paying attention, the sequence of events is a bit out of order, as teaching Ursa to walk happened in the wee hours of the morning, then he went to bed when she went to sleep.  Then woke up as Grim arrived.  What a start to the week.

Renee brought positivity home with her though!  Promotions are always delightful!  Her goal is to be the Education Minister which means she'll be unseating her uncle-in-law Xane from the position.

Xane doesn't seem to have any hard feelings, as everyone got along when his household came to visit.  That's Xane, Deb, Xavian, Morrdy, Xyla, Xora, and Xayden as well, for anyone that can't keep this family straight!

Xyla might be getting Family as her secondary.  She seems to have baby radar.  She's all over Ursa!  Even swept her away to give her a bath as soon as Ursa woke up.

At 9:11pm, Renee had a little reminder for me.  I totally forgot about the lullaby last week before we closed up the house for the week.  Surprise!

Lindsay is kind of hands-off with the grandkids unless I need her to pitch in.  So I was a little surprised that she was at best-friend status with her grandbaby!  I guess she sneaks in snuggles when I'm not watching?

Meanwhile, Renee is not at all helpless while she's pregnant.  She's even giving me nice Wants to fill to keep her aspiration perked up.  I don't even know how to choose which ones to lock!

Tuesday's baby bump woke up her from a nap though!  10:10pm, and the baby is due tomorrow!  Will we have a Wednesday night baby or a Thursday wee-hours-of-the-morning baby?

Now, let's talk for a minute.  Uri is a Family Sim.  Renee is a Family Sim.  They are both going to want more kids.  Uri's LifeTimeWant is to "Graduate 3 Children From College".  But all these pregnancies and all these babies are wearing us ALL down, am I right or am I right?  So.

Uri has the "Super Fertility" benefit already for increased possibility of twins.  (Renee needs another aspiration point for it).  Xavier and I decide not to take chances.   We made Renee some cheesecake.

Let me distract you now from this insanity by introducing you to the exterminator Benjamin Grunderstrom.  Isn't he adorable?  I'll have to introduce him to some of these kids when they get to university to see if anyone takes a liking to him.

Someone's been kicking over the trashcan.  I haven't caught them yet and they don't have a sentry bot.  But I discovered the can on the ground and trash beside it, and had no idea how long it had been there.  The last plague is still too fresh in my mind and we don't take chances.  No roach-stomping flu this week, Satan!

On to Wednesday night, Uri and Renee are actually acting like it's spring.  They are so lovey-dovey!

You think it would be awkward to be so handsy and kissy with Uri's dad just a few steps away, but naaahhhh... He's busy.   A Teddy Bear Spider sounds super cute though!

I digress... I'm pretty sure Uri was born in the garden, and while it would be cute for Renee to have a garden baby herself, they have their winterwear on so I better get her inside.

JUST. IN. TIME!  A few steps into the house and she's squawking!  BABY TIME!

Uri totally lost his mind and dropped the trash on the floor.  The babies are going to be born over trash.  These sloppy Sims... I just can't even!

(I'd be furious, too, Renee!)

(Xavier, we did it!  Twins!)

("Uri, please hold this.  I'm not done here")

These husbands are ridiculous.  Screaming along with the women giving birth, being shocked and dropping the trash.  Having to sit down before the whole birth process is even over.  Letting their mothers take out the trash they flung on the floor.  Sheesh.

Well, we need to have a little talk again readers.  I need to talk about the twins' names.  Already, things are challenging because this is the "U" household.  U names are few and far between.  And with all the Nature nuts in this house, I liked the available theme I started with Ursa, aka "Little Bear".

Uri and Renee's twins are a girl and boy.  The girl is Ulva, aka "Wolf".  There were options, I know!  But as I researched and researched, Ulva just grew on me.  Sims don't even have vulvas so the name is perfectly acceptable in Legacy Cove.  I tend to pronounce it as "Yewl-va" also.  My real-life daughter is not a fan but she agrees, it's a game and it's whatever.  Whew.

Their son is Uncas, or "the Fox".  I haven't seen the movie where the name seems to come from, but the internet says it's pronounced as "uhn-kas".  Ulva did have two optional pronunciations.  Again.  YUUUUULE-VAH.  You know what, let me just show you pictures of the little darlings.

(Ulva)

(Uncas)

Oh, and they ended up being Thursday babies, born at 12:01am.  The poem says, "Thursdays child has far to go", but it's better than Wednesday.  Those children are full of woe.

Since Ursa is still a toddler for the next 18'ish hours, I put the cribs for the new babies in the living room.  I will stomp on anyone that turns the radio on until they move into the toddler room.

This actually turned out to be a great move, because Xavier's work reward is the "Golden Skull of Jumbok IV", which is a mood booster.  These infants were a piece of cake!  They didn't sleep much thanks to Jumbok but they also weren't fussy.  The only issue we had was the first dirty diapers when Uri.... URI, with his whopping TWO points of neatness... Uri lectured these tiny babies for messing their diaper.  🙄

Even if the twins were fussy, the whole Centowski clan was at the house on Thursday afternoon for Ursa's birthday.

Let's get this party moving.  Here we go!

(Morrdredd, Xane, Xavian)

(In the sea of green, I almost didn't notice the intruder)
(Xavier up front, Lindsay & Cassie, Julie & Xander, Uri)
(Julie came home from work with Renee!)

And, ta-da!, we have a child!  When I went to change Ursa's clothes, I realized the reason she didn't grow up with the same hair is because it's not available for children.  What in tarnation?  I kind of liked the hair and the hairband and had planned on keeping it.  Hmph.

Well, she's still adorable!  Here's our Ursa now!

While she was admiring herself in the bathroom mirror, I set up this room for her lickity-split.  I thought the butterflies went well with the whole nature obsession this household has.

But... Turns out, Ursa isn't a Nature nut.  Does she even need the boots?  Ugh.  She's still messy, so the boots stay.  And the room is still cute for an Arts & Crafts kid.

As a sidenote... WHERE DID SHE GET THIS CHIN??  She can put someone's eye out with that!

Friday was Ursa's first day of school.  She was sweet and waved to the bus driver but old Geoffrey Shaw didn't even look at her.  Rude.

Xavier went on a hike with his cousin Yvette Panda while the babies napped since Lindsay had stayed home from work to help with them.  But he brought back a skunk.  Our visitors (Yvette and Yorwyck) don't seem to comprehend the danger!  Guys!  It's a SKUNK!!!

Luckily, Renee came home with a big announcement and in that excitement the skunk wandered to the backside of the garage then left.  I was so relieved.  And excited for Renee!

Friday tends to be cousin's day, so Xyla and Xora were over.  But school wore Ursa out, so she didn't get to play long before she took herself off to bed.  The twins did get the notification that they'll grow up tomorrow on Saturday!  So another kid playdate and baby-to-toddler birthday!  I'll make sure Ursa is rested up for a day of play and cake!

Lotus is getting on up in age, so Friday night Uri had her make a visit to the doghouse with Lachlan.  The other perk is that there's only room for one puppy so there won't be a big litter to rehome.

With Renee's promotions and all, I don't want to understate that she's a good mom.  She's all over these babies!  Plus, I wanted to show off her cute jammies.  They have pugs all over them.

Well, Saturday brought a lot of kids to the house!  The current children are Zyler Archer, Yoren & Yorwyck Deppiesse, Xora Centowski, Wendolyn Lind, VJ & Vera Lind, and Rocco Wolosenko.  That's plenty for a party!

Saturday also brought a tidy sum from the Smart Investing from our two Fortune Sims, Xavier and Lindsay!  That alone paid for Ursa's bedroom renovations (I also did a little remodeling of the upstairs bedroom layouts).

Okay, party time!  I'm trying to keep my expectations low, but since the twins have been chilling with Jumbok I'm hoping that they are ready to spin.  Let's find out!

(Uri with Uncas)

(Renee with Ulva)
(Zyler & Xora to the left, Rocco to the right)

(Lindsay, Uri w/Uncas, Wendolyn)

(So many kids)

(Xora, Zyler, Vera in the back)

(Ursa's excited!)

(Please focus, Uncas. Sigh.)

Ahem.  If you can tell by the candles being out, and the babies are still infants... no.  Neither one of them spun.  So I wait.

It took a few hours, but Ulva was the first to grow up.

Ulva is absolutely precious and adorable!  Ulva is a Sagittarius like her grandpa, and her stats are 4 messy, 4 shy, 10 active, 10 playful, and 6 nice.  Her hobby is already lit up for Nature.

Ulva actually has the Centowski nose, though it's a bit more understate on the females than the males.  She's just absolutely perfect and I love her!

Uncas took his sweet time to grow up.  I actually sent Lindsay, Renee, and Uri to bed while I rapped my fingers on the desk waiting.. and waiting...  Then Renee got up mid-sleep and came downstairs to hold him.  He still didn't want to grow up.  Renee studied parenting so I had her check on him to see what's low.  He needs a bath?  Okay, the kitchen sink works for that.

But surprise!  Uncooperative Uncas got tossed before they reached the sink.

I couldn't find a hairstyle that I liked on him that still looked toddler-ish, so for the time being Uncas has the same hair as his dad.

Uncas is a Pisces, with stats 6 neat (the only neat one in the house!), 7 outgoing, 10 active, 3 serious, and 9 nice.  No evil snowmen for this fella!

Once again, the whole Centowski clan gathered at Xavier's house.  This time for Sunday dinner!  They are almost as big of a family as the Pandas!

(Xora up front, Treva & Soupy to the left)
(Xavian and Morddy in the middle, and Xayden on the right)

Xyla really has a thing about dirty babies.  Not under her watch!  It's a shame it was never added to the game to have family members babysit.  Who needs a nanny when you have Cousin Xyla?

Meanwhile, did you know we have a ghost dog?  I actually would have expected this from their first dog Luna but not LOUIE!!  Well, thankfully Treva is a Knowledge Sim and appreciated the aspiration points.

Uncle Xane hasn't been too overly touchy with the babies, but he made a point to come check out the family namesake.  All these boys for so many, many generations... But Xavian had 2 girls.  Xayden is not having children.  Treva married and took her husband's name so her son is a Stephens.  And Uri has two girls.... and one boy.  One boy to carry on the Centowski name!

(Which should have been Kauker but I messed up when I moved the Legacyville Gen8 kids to this neighborhood and gave Trevor Kauker his mother's maiden name; Centowski.  Oooops!  I didn't even realize it for a generation or two so by then it was too late to try to fix it.)

Wow.  Let's send all these Sims on home or get them in bed if they live here!  What a week!  Lost Louie to Grim, Renee had twins, Ursa had a birthday, the twins had their first birthday, Renee got a promotion.... I'm wiped.

OH!  What!?  As I went to save and exit, a pop-up appeared.  Lotus decided it was time to give birth to a pup!  The intention is for this puppy to be Ursa's, so he's named Leonardo for the artist.  My daughter assisted me on naming the pup and she's had a little too much wine tonight.. so my nature alternatives like Leaf and Lakota were ruled out.  She especially thought "Leaf" was ridiculous.  Sheesh.  I reminded her that there's a Sim in the house named ULVA but she still wouldn't let me name the puppy Leaf.  It took almost half an hour to name this pup, but Leonardo won out in the end!

(Lotus, Leonardo, and Lachlan)

Okay, that's it folks!  THATS ALL.  I'm saving and running before anything else happens!

Thank you for reading, and happy Simming!
