1002 Centowski Street 

     

     The fall season is always so pretty at Xavier and Lindsay's home.  Even if there are multiple piles of leaves everywhere.  But with so many nature Sims living here and their large garden, it took a week of raking and composting to get their bin totally full.  Sheesh!

     I'm getting ahead of myself.  We've got some elders to retire, some kids to grow up, and relationships to strengthen so let's hop to it.

There's going to be two Fortune Sims waking up a little more cheery in the morning.  Inheritance makes the Sims' frowns turn upside down.  

Wish it worked that way in the real world, ya know?

Xane's household came by a bit after lunchtime to visit.

While the rest of the family was in the house and the backyard, widower Xane saw widow Pearly walking by.

They have heated up their old college flame and keep poking at that fire.

I have no reason to tell them no.  So I just sit back and watch.  As long as no one is getting upset, I'm gonna let them see where this goes.  

But I did send Pearly home.  This isn't "Xane and Pearly magnet hour".   Xane's here to boost up his relationships with his FAMILY.  Which has ALWAYS BEEN SO IMPORANT TO HIM.  Ahem.  Xane...

Later, as the witching hour neared, Ghost Louie has taken personal offense against something Ursa has done.

What?  I have no idea.

But he's gonna make his displeasure known.  

No one else.  Just Ursa.  

Whew.

After the last few houses having some aggressive young dogs, friendly lil' Leonardo is a breath of fresh air.  

Mailman Hun Pai loves his daily stop here.  He even comes by to check the mail on Sundays!  (Shame on EA/Maxis for not giving these hard workers a day off!)

Woot!  Wednesday is definitely looking up!

I thought I was going to have to spend some of that investment money on a new desk but he was chewing up the homework.  

Seems to be a breed trait in this neighborhood...

Sigh... ANYWAY...

I had a heck of a time getting these two to see each other as romantic interests.  Before I downloaded the "Extended Family mod", I had used SimPE to flag distant cousins as family.

Which persisted in connections to the next generation.  So I had to go spend some time with SimPE removing flags.

Worth it!  These two are 3-bolts!  I didn't expect that!  

Now I can't keep them apart!

Vera gets nervous and shadow-boxes sometimes around Ursa.  It's cute.

They are moving super quick!

Ursa has a locked want that we can pop... If you know what I mean.

Don't worry.  My mind might not be PG-13, but my game is.

First kiss achieved!

So sweet!  And fun fact;  This is almost the exact spot where Ursa was born.

Thursday is a doozy, so buckle up!  

It's Thanksgiving, Xavier is retiring, and there's birthday cake!

I like how all of the Fortune Sims have a good memory of retiring.

I guess because they get their pension so they are still earning money?

Plus, Xavier still does some financial consulting on the computer.

And SOOO much time for activities.  Like hiking and gardening.

Next up, birthday cake 1!

Uncas rolled Family.  

Overall, I'm good with that.  Just like his parents.  And there's not a lot of Family Sims in generation 5.  But I'm almost certain that they are all boys.  

Uncas is the ONLY gen 5 Centowski male.  So yeah, go forth and procreate buddy.  Keep your family name alive!

His LifeTimeWant is to "Marry off 6 children".   ... Okay maybe not procreate that much, but we'll see.  

Especially if he's the heir to this house.  That's a lot of U-names to come up with!

With Ulva, I rolled a 6.  Which should be Pleasure but I hate Pleasure.  So I choose whatever I please and make the secondary aspiration Pleasure.

After consulting her personality and contemplating the balance of the aspirations amongst the generation, I settled on Fortune.

Guess she's going to be like her grandparents.  Fortune Sim and a nature nut!

Ulva wants to become "the Law".  Which is what Grandma Lindsay is, but her retirement is coming this week.  (Vama is taking over, but no one else in Gen 5 has rolled this LTW.)

There's still Thanksgiving dinner to eat!  But what holiday wouldn't be complete without a visit from Ghost Louie?

This time he got Uri.  

And don't stand there with the door open!  You've been spooked before, you'll be spooked again.  Don't look surprised.  Come inside and close the door!

I brought in the Centowski servo, Xerva, to help with cleanup.  She's doing a pretty good job.

As the visitors started heading home, I sent Uncas to work out while I did Ulva's make-over.

Official confirmation on his fitness hobby!  Though he's been lit up for fitness since a toddler. 

Ulva is so pretty.

She's going to be one of those Sims that I want to hate, being pretty and ambitious.  But she's also down-to-earth and likes to get dirty in the garden.  And go hiking with her mom and grandpa.

Uncas is fairly handsome but I'm going to be honest.  

Most hairstyles made him look like a dumb ox. 

Like a Disney character that's all brawn and no brain.  It's the high forehead and wide chin.

Crazy how a base game hair suited him best.

OOF!  I really thought we would finally get a Grim-free week.  

But our elder gal Lotus aged faster than I thought.

Lotus is Uri's dog.  Descended from the first two Dalmatians Luna and Louie.

She's preceded in death by one littermate Linden, and Xander's family has the 3rd pup Laurel.

They've lived a good, long life.  But it's so hard to say goodbye!

Go on, you spunky lil girl.  

There will be lots of people to play fetch with you at the rainbow bridge until Uri can join you.

And we have her pup Leonardo here with us still.  We'll keep him safe and happy, Lotus won't have to worry about him!

It's crazy that the dogs seem to always pass on a weekday when the kids are at school.

Uncas nails his social studies presentation, unaware of the sadness at home.

I guess that's for the best.

And we still held "cousin night".  Ulva and Uncas are way behind on their relationships with pretty much everyone outside their household.  

Uncas just flat out didn't know most of the neighborhood and Ulva keeps to herself.  

She got in some hang out time with her cousin Trace though finally!

Ohmygod.  OHMYGOD!

Everyone has to go home NOW.

I can't click them to be stomped or sprayed so I'm calling Benjamin the exterminator.  He can't be here until morning though.

Okay, so you are telling me we didn't sleep all night for nothin'???   

I'm telling you, Benjamin!  We had bugs!

Ugh.  They keep dropping the trash and compost on their way to the bins, and I thought everything had been cleaned up.  I guess I thought correctly but I SAW THE BUGS.  THEY WERE REA..wait.

... Okay maybe the bugs aren't "real".

UGH.  I'm moving on.

This is happening now.

Lindsay is retiring!

Yes.  Yes, she would.

Both Xavier and Lindsay were very uncooperative with their retirement pictures.

This was the best shot I could get of her.  Could she not just lift her chin a bit?

Well.  Anyhoo.  Vamaris Chauncellor is now official THE LAW in the neighborhood.

At noon, the neighborhood teens came over.  I had Ulva use the crystal ball to set her preference to males, and then scope the room.

I'm not sure if she wants a date, doesn't want a date, wants better options...

What is that face!?  

PS - that's Sebastian Panda (potential there), Rocco (he's got a girlfriend, Shayla), and Little Vincent (an option but his sister is kissing Ursa so.. weird?)

I tried to gather all of the teens in the backyard since it was a nice day.  Trying to make it easier for Ulva and Uncas to meet their classmates that they didn't know.

It's like herding cats, to be honest.

Easier to pin them down with food.  Two pizzas and a bunch of sandwiches.  

That's how you lure the teens into your white van, just FYI.

News of food travels fast.  Ursa, Ulva, and Uncas are all living off eggplant juice for free skills, so even though they weren't hungry I just sat 'em down at the table.

Happy birthday, Lachlan!  

He's an elder now.  He joined the family when Uri married Renee.  Since all of the kids are teens... perhaps this should have happened sooner.

Oh boy, a gnome for our guests to try to steal.  If I put the gnome with it's back against something, it can't be stolen.  The family can still play with the gnome, but the visitors can't steal it.

That doesn't mean that anyone with thoughts or intentions of stealing the gnome won't be attacked by the sentrybot.  What a world they live in.

Oh.  Oh, it's been so long since I've seen that want.  I didn't even recognize the icon!  I think it's a first for this neighborhood.

Well, ask and ye shall receive, Ursa!

Ulva's requests are more complex.

Like, "Get into Private School."

Well, I forgot I invited the man and Ulva's on the exercise bike and needs a shower, and the lawn is a mess of piled leaves.

We can still do this though.

Xaiver, what the heck???  He brought a skunk home from his hike.  

I should have sent him with the girls, they have far more sense!

... Are you kidding me?  

Uri wasn't hungry but I had him sit at the table anyway so he could unofficially schmooze.  But he sat at the seat where the Headmaster had chosen so Amin Riley took his damn plate UPSTAIRS TO ULVA'S ROOM TO EAT AT HER DESK.

I hope Renee's spaghetti and meatballs are as famous as she says they are.

Holy Wright, we did it.

We actually pulled it off.
