The Sims 2
Birth Announcement
Now I am unstoppable. Muwhahah! I've spent a good 24 hours doing not much else other than simming. So here we go, on to the 2nd week of Legacy Cove.
And.... OHMIGOSH! Guess who finally strolls by the house? It's me! Lovable, wonderful ME!
"Wow, ma'am, it's such an honor to finally meet you!"
Awww, shucks, Zane. Just wanted to see how you guys are doing n' stuff.
First thing to note is that after a week Zane FINALLY found a job in the education career path. And he came home from his first day of work Monday with a promotion! Things are looking up for his career!
Pregnancy is not the highlight of Amaris's life. It's not totally terrible but her energy and hunger are hard to keep full and let's not even start on her bladder. Can't believe she's a family sim and going to want to do this again. Just watch... She'll spin up another baby want as soon as this one is a toddler. And please.. just be one. Let's not start this Legacy off with twins.

We still have our fellow Twinks stopping by and helping Amaris pass away the long hours being home alone. Except... well... we discovered some fashion oopsies. Apparently Julie Jaz & Toots Savoy shop at the same place... Sorry ladies! Gawsh, that's embarrassing.
The days passed by pretty quickly. Julie was actually great for letting Zane or Amaris influence her to help clean up the house. She strolls by almost every day, so I'm assuming she doesn't mind helping keep house. I haven't yet had Zane or Amaris hire a maid or any other help. Just once we hired the repair woman to help fix the dishwasher because Zane insisted he couldn't do it. Whatever. Wussy!
Then... before you know it... Amaris woke up Tuesday night feeling a little odd. She called for help then clutched her stomach. "OoooooOOooooOOOooOOOO!!" Ya'll simmers know what that noise means!
It wasn't just Zane that came to the rescue when she called for help! Kate Gypsy and Toots had been visiting for most of the day and Julie was still puttering around the house helping to clean up the mess a pregnant woman and a few Twinkies can make!
"YOU CAN DO IT! BEAR DOWN! BEAR DOWN!"
"Is she done yet? Let's get this dog & pony show over with."
Zane just decided to take it easy and wait for the ladies to tell him what to do. Jerk. I'm not impressed, Zane! NOT IMPRESSED! What an asshole.
And here I would like to introduce to anyone that actually reads this blog, the second generation of Legacy Cove. Zachariah Archer. YAHOO! *CONFETTI* Momma's brown hair and daddy's custom green eyes! I'm so happy!
So Amaris got the next few days off due to her work schedule. Since she had just taken a good, long nap before Zachariah was born, I sat back and watched her to see how she would do autonomously parenting. Not bad, Amaris. Not bad at all. She likes to hold the lil' guy and she is really good about putting him back into the crib instead of the floor. Points for that! She's a pretty good mom. So far, the scale is tilted to allowing her to have more kids when she wants 'em.
We had a couple of visitors also stop by to see the baby and I kept a close eye on any of them that felt entitled to touch our precious prince of Legacy Cove! Julie had proven herself reliable but the others.... *narrows eyes*
Zane somehow came out ahead with a higher relationship score with Zach, even though with him going off to work every day he wasn't spending as much quality time with the baby. I felt bad for Amaris. Doing all this great parenting but not getting the recognition she deserved from Daddy's lil guy. Especially since Zane was doing stuff like this...
Forgetting something, Zane?
"Yeah! Do you know where I left that baby?"
*narrows eyes*
Watching you too, mister. Zane redeemed himself later that night though. Baby Zachariah made a diaper that woke up both parents. Amaris's first action was to lecture the kid. I made sure Zane got there first to clean him up.
All too soon, it's birthday time! YEEEHAAWW!! Time to see if we have a cutie or not! My rule is usually the parent with the higher relationship score gets to take the kid to the cake... and I really don't know how Zane is ahead but whatever! Amaris could use a break anyway.
Only, Zach wasn't ready to grow up just yet. Amaris had studied parenting during his naps so I had her check him out to see why he didn't grow up after blowing out the candles. He was sleepy. I suppose all this partying stuff can wear a baby out. So Amaris takes him off to bed. Lays him down. Picks him up. And *poof* we have a toddler!! Sometimes there's just no substitute for Momma's touch.
After he had a good nap, both parents helped me get him dolled up and ready for pictures. Such a cutie! I figured with Amaris's punk outfit, the mohawk was working. Even if he does have adorable froggy jammies on!
Hopefully I'll get another update up soon, so you can see how week three starts off. Spring is here and the ground is thawing and it's time to add onto their ranch house! And remember... I believe in GO BIG OR GO HOME!
Stay tuned for the next chapter!

Zach is cute, so far. Toots was totally "hurry up and get that kid out, Amaris, so that we can start the dancing"!
