Legacy Cove - Week Ten - 1001 Bamboo Blvd
Back to the Panda family, Zamaris and Rob. Zamaris has been waddling around for a week with a baby bump. And though they started off their first week being pretty broke, they ended the week with money in the bank. But with a baby on the way and a lot of work yet to do in the house, they are going to have to bank some more.
Luckily, Rob isn't going to mess around. Monday he came home from work with a promotion and a bonus check in his pocket. Thatta boy, Rob! Good start to the week.
The rest of the day and next morning passed fairly uneventfully. With just Zamaris and Agnesi the schnoodle at home while Rob worked, there wasn't very much going on. Just another promotion. Yay!
But Tuesday night, the excitement arrives!
What is it with these guys making the bed while their wives give birth? I seem to remember Zane doing this when Gen 2 was landing. But I digress.... INCOMING!!!
She has Zamaris's custom eyes! CUSTOM EYES!!! I'm so excited! And yes, "SHE"... it's a girl! Yvette Panda has arrived! Rob, where are you! It's a pretty blonde-haired, green-eyed girl! Rob? Rob?? ... Sigh.
Right, soooo... there's still no paint on the walls of their bedroom. And I start to throw some paint up since with the promotions he's bumped up their bank account to $10k simoleons. But I wanted to expand out the top floor of the house by a square so I can break the larger bedrooms into two. And I need to set up the nursery. So *PAUSE* ... let's get building! Wheeee!
Okay *unpause* ... now where was I? Anyway, Zamaris was just going to bed exhausted when she went into labor with little Yvette. So Rob took the first night of parenting duty. He did not disappoint! Good boy, Rob.
And Wednesday morning, Zamaris was ready to pull her shift while poor Rob dragged himself to work. He only had a few hours of sleep but we are spending money about as fast as they can bring it in to get this house cleaned up. Zamaris missed her first day back to work so we didn't have to call in the nanny the first day.
Rob just missed the car pool so he took Zamaris's fixer-upper car into work and brought back a promotion and fat check. His boss must like neon green. In any case, Rob is on a roll!! A promotion a day, that's what I'm talking about!!
Zamaris seems to do really well with the baby. But I wonder about her ability to juggle several kids underfoot. And PS - I really love seeing Kate walk by in her outerwear coat. It's so cute!
Grandpa Zane came by to meet his newest grandbaby. For anyone keeping score, that's 1 grandson and 2 granddaughters now. Zack, Zoey, and Yvette. All with his blonde hair. But Yvette is extra special because she has his eyes!
Argh.. he started off so well... But I forgot Zane isn't one of those "helicopter parents". You get that baby up off the floor, Zane!
Silia was so kind to stop by and allow herself to be influenced to clean up. Rob is kind of a jerk and threw his trash down on the floor. It's okay... Silia cleaned it up. Jerk. They really needed some help getting the cleaning caught up. We may have to get Mr Tyson's number from Granddad Zane.
Later that evening over a nice dinner, Kate and Nicholas Newton were discussing Amaris. Not sure what they were saying, I unfortunately only got the end of the conversation. But apparently Silia didn't like what they had to say. Or she doesn't want Kate talking to Nick
But apparently Silia didn't like what they had to say. Or she doesn't want Kate talking to Nick. Because.... THIS;
Listen duck, this is getting old. Lemonade is all we've ever sold. GIRLS!!! STOP THAT THIS INSTANT! Sigh. Fastforward through a night of those two chained to the chess table.
Thursday, I decided to send Zamaris to work and save her vacation days. So.... we called.... the nanny.
"Julie... please help keep an eye on our little Yvette. That nanny just doesn't give me the warm and fuzzies". Yeah, Yvette went to sleep after the carpool left and Julie promptly got the hell out of the house.
At least the nanny made herself somewhat useful. She cleaned the toilets. She did not clean the dinner dishes. And she left the baby in the crib except to change the diaper or feed her a bottle. Then, back to the crib she went.
Rob came home Thursday with his fourth promotion for the week. Hot damn! But I think high school principal is as far as I want him to go. It has decent hours, decent pay. And maybe he'll retire soon to be a stay-at-home daddy.
Zane comes by almost every day. And he likes to call Zamaris to him as she goes to greet him. Silly Zane!
Friday rolled around and it's birthday time! But first... it was Zamaris's turn for a promotion! A promotion a day, that's how this family rolls! But Zamaris's promotion comes with excellent hours, excellent pay, and the most excellent bonus check! They now have $50k in the bank!
And... oh crap.. it's 6pm! Let's get that baby to her tossing! Get her, Rob!
And..... nope.. nope... I'm too late. Random birthday toss with no cake for Yvette. Sorry, kid. My bad! But I like your party dress!!
When family sims have a kid age up to toddler... they immediately want another. And I meant to get Zamaris knocked up again before this but they've been so busy with promotions and baby stuff that I forgot. No time like the present though! While the party went on downstairs, Rob and Zamaris had their own private party. Bow-chicka-wow-wow.
While they get themselves dressed and presentable again, let's take a peek at Yvette, shall we? She may have gotten momma's eyes... but... she got daddy's face.
I really hope she grows into this. Right now, I'm really worried. Why couldn't you be a blonde version of Zamaris, kid!? But Agnesi has fallen in love with her anyway.
I bring this interruption of story telling to show you Rob in his underpants. That's right. He's got on superman undies.
Spring finally arrived and melted out the snow. Time to use some of that promotion money to make the yard look pretty. I really like the result!
We still haven't hired any help in the form of a gardener or maid, so Toots was kind enough to walk in the front door and be wooed by our influencing powers. Zamaris is a puking machine so far with this latest pregnancy and the toilets are a mess.
And I don't know what's up with this but Zachariah and Zoey have been catching butterflies left and right and leaving them in our kitchen. The blue leatherwing butterfly died but Rob let the monarchs go. Right into the new tree so I couldn't get a good pic.
Meanwhile... inside the house... Yvette has lit up for tinkering! I tell you, I get so tired of tinkerers. That and the sports hobby. Ugh! Give me some variety!!
I then shooed Rob out of the driveway so I could buy them a car that we'll pretend is big enough for a house full of children. Isn't it beautiful!
Then *boom* Yvette learned to walk.
And *boom* Zamaris got a belly bump.
Finally it was Sunday. Sunday is family day. Yvette commanded most of the attention. "What does the bird say, Yvette?". "Tonight Pinky, we take over the world". "No, silly... say 'tweet tweet'". ..... Gonna have to keep my eye on this kid.
Ceera and Laiyya both came by on Sunday and made their way to the chess table. Like mother, like daughter!
And *boom* another baby bump! Get ready next week for a Monday's child!
Now it's time to go start the building process all over again with Zayna and Trevor. Let's hope they have the same kind of luck the Panda family has had! Off we go!
