TS2 - Legacy Cove - Week 23 - On Campus

 TS2 - Legacy Cove - Week 23 -

On Campus

Welcome back to the University campus!  There's some future remodeling being thought out because 8 students stretched out the bathroom set-up.  But for now, I'm powering through it because, holy crap, trying to do anything with 8 students is rough.  There are 5 Juniors from the main neighborhood, plus Vamaris who is our latest freshman.  And two townies have joined the household.

Let me just cut to the chase and introduce you.

So, with so much going on in every corner of my screen and outside, I tend to not get a lot of pictures.  Most of the days are fairly routine though.  Sims get up, hit the showers, hit the books, and then work on finding that special someone and exploring their hobbies after.

Yvonne has a couple of 3-bolters in her panel.  Brandon is one.  Marsh Mellon (below) is another.  And Brayden Pepper.   Brayden is my real-life 'adopt-a-kid', hence the same last name as my Sim.  Anyway, of the seniors the girls, Yvonne and Treva, are the ones unsettled on their future husbands.

I started with Yvonne because I figured if we could settle on a guy then with 3-bolts of attraction, they'd take care of the rest while I turned my focus on Treva.   Treva has no 3-bolters.  But Yvonne is not interested.  She wants to look through the telescope all day.  "Girl, if you could get knocked up by the aliens, we'd talk.  But I need you to FOCUS over here on these 3 boys.  No, do not talk to your cousin.  Do not hit your cousin's girlfriend with a pillow.  YVONNE!!!"

     Deep soul-hugging sigh.

Meanwhile, I have chaos happening elsewhere.  Anytime I try to focus on just one Sim, and especially if I send any off the lot on hikes or jogs to try to ease the what-the-hell-are-ya'll-doing moments, they find a way to thwart me.  Some Sims bring back treasures or see birds on their hikes.  These kids.....

I should have been counting each time Shawn led the nature nuts through poison ivy.  Like, find another trail Shawn.  Maybe just stay ON a trail.  You can prevent this.  Look at your girlfriend.  LOOK AT HER.  SHE IS RED.  Also, Noelle is henceforth to be known for sensitive skin.  Even in the original Legacyville 'hood, she was constantly red from sunburn or blue from freezing.  She's delicate.  It's canon going forward.

Frustrated with their lack of cooperating with anything I was trying to achieve aside from the grades (they all have excellent grades!), I gave Renee a clothing make-over.  I realized as she kept changing clothes from every day to work out to pajamas that she had no consistent color.  So she's a purple girl now.  Her original everyday outfit was pink but there's a lot of that smothering the neighborhood already in regards to Generation 4.  (Zakki, Isaac, Laken...)

Okay, so let's just walk away from Yvonne and the nature nuts.  I better check on the rest of the house.  Shawn and Noelle are moving things along just fine on their own.  Shawn and Uri were in a love triangle with Renee in their first two years of Uni but I pushed her to choose.  Uri was her pic.  Luckily Noelle is also a 3-bolt gal for Shawn so the triangle drama has subsided.

I don't know what they did, but they managed lovey hearts all on their own.  These two are nice and tidy for that, and I thank them.  If only their nature hikes were as neatly wrapped up.  Bees, man.  Bees and poison ivy.  They know where to find them.

Vincent is likely going to propose someday to Ceera.  Ceera is one of my EQ2 gaming friends, and her youngest kids Laiyya and Nighno are loose in the main hood as child townies.  It always pleases me for the parent to marry in first, so I give Vincent full approval to proceed.

Vincent looks sulky and like he might have an attitude most of the time, but he is really just the MOST easy-going guy.  There's never any drama.  He smiles so easily when I want to get pics of him.  And he's just adorable.  I want only great things for him!   But... his lifetime dream is to raise 20 puppies and kittens.  Let's be honest, the pets are already overpopulated and that's probably just not going to happen.  ANYTHING ELSE you want, Vincent... anything else will get serious consideration.

Meanwhile.... I've been inviting Marsh and Brayden over every day and Yvonne does not care.  She DOES NOT CARE.  Brayden is instead straight up flirting with the cheerleader.

She had her first kiss as a teenager and we've used the crystal ball to look for eligible males so her preferences are set.  She's just really not interested.

Then, just like that, they are Seniors.  Half of our time is gone and so little work has been done!

And of course, Vammy is now a Sophomore.  Somehow, Renee is a semester ahead.  I must have moved her in early last week.

With the way the couples are acting, you'd think it's springtime.  But it's fall with winter closing in quick!

I think I'm going to have to ban Katelynn the cheerleader from the lot.  Yeah, it's cute that she's cheering as these two make out without any intervention from me on either party but she's getting on my damn nerves.  I kick her out and she just comes back a few hours later.

I was trying to set up a special moment when Shawn and Noelle started making out.  So I had to get the next two lovebirds set back up.  Treva has been quietly interviewing her 2-bolters but I think she's made her choice.

This is Soupy Stephens.  He presents a bit of a conundrum for me.  He is also one of my EQ2 gamer friends.  His ex-girlfriend Morrdredd is ALSO an EQ2 gamer friend.  Yes, the same Morrdredd that married Xavian.  At the time I created the characters, they were a happy couple in real life.  Now.... not so much.  I would have preferred it if they were married into different generations.  But no.  Treva and Xavian are cousins.  They've probably forgotten they are in my Sims game, so we'll just keep this on the down-low.  Priority is Xavian and Treva, so I just gotta remember that.

Must have been some doozy of a kiss.  He keeps thinking about it!  You go, Treva!  Knock it out of the park!

Meanwhile....... Vammy had two very different guys with 3-bolts.  I unfortunately did not get a picture of Percival, but he is a quiet, nerdy, blonde and bearded fellow.  The other is Caden.

Caden is one of the early CAS guys I created to fix the gender imbalance in Legacy Cove's early days.  All those Twinkie ladies needed some men to mingle with, so one was created for each aspiration.  I'm pretty sure Caden is Mr Popularity.  (His last name is Chauncellor.)  He's very affable and I'm pretty sure that's how he won the battle for Vamaris's affections.

Her brother Vincent is also doing quite well on his own with Ceera.

Vincent likes to congratulate the other Sims.  If you noticed when they graduated their Junior year, he turned to Treva and congratulated her on graduating.  He also congratulated Ceera on falling in love.  With him.

There's also a lot going on in the background.  The showers break pretty much every day.  Total of 4 showers and 8 kids, so each shower gets used at least twice a day.  They are cheap showers anyway, but Chris Leelaporn pretty much has an appointment here every day.  Between the showers, the dishwasher, the trash compactor... these kids can break a lot.  I teleport the servos in but the showers are their kryptonite.

I could tell the kids to repair it but.... They have generations of scholarships at their disposal here (there's always been a uni townie holding their residence building for them even when there's no active students.  Scholarship money, semester grants, etc.... these kids have more money at their fingertips than most of their households back in the Cove do!  So I've got no problem throwing it away on the repair lady.

Just.... Chris has a unique method of repairing things.  I mean, it seems to be working for her... but maybe hitting things with the wrenches and yelling is why she has to keep coming back?

And then... Suddenly.... BOOM!  We have five graduates!

And two Juniors will remain to finish up their educations; Vamaris and Renee.

Wait, Yvonne and Shawn make 2.   Vincent and Treva make 4.  Uri makes 5.  Vammy and Renee make 7.   We're missing someone.

That's because... Surprise!  Brandon was also a freshman but he's worked an accelerated track (thanks to the handy dandy college adjuster) to graduate as a Senior early!

I'm sure you are wondering.... "But, why?"  Why have Brandon do all those term papers and extra assignments and constantly bottom out his fun meter to graduate early?

     Brandon is making moves.

Yvonne had THREE suitors.   Marsh, Brayden, and BRANDON!   He's been quietly working his little pixelated booty off to graduate on time with Yvonne!  And I think her eyes are wide open and paying attention now!

The song lyrics, "Your kiss, your kiss, is on my list.  Because your kiss is on my list" has been stuck in my head this whole time.  Treva, Soupy, and Brandon all celebrated their first kisses.  There's been a lot of lip action from the others that took care of that in their teen years, too!

But not to say that they haven't forgotten their families or cousins right there beside them either.  Uri and Treva are still BFF's!  Everyone dutifully calls back home to check in with their other families also.

Usually there's family nights too, but there's a plague back home that our SIX graduates are going back to.  It took a whole day to properly cure their Uni house so we just kept the families away.

So it's time to break up THIS happy home and send them back on to the Cove to rejoin their former happy homes!

It's time to say goodbye to Shawn, Treva, Uri, Vincent, Yvonne, and of course, Brandon.   Spin it up, guys!  (PS - I love the music and hip wiggle they do as young adults going into the adult stage!)

.... I've got a lot of work ahead of me with those outfits.  Yikes.  I better go get started on this clean-up, I see a full night in the dressing rooms ahead of me!  And ya'll better start laying out your dresses for the weddings and shopping for the baby showers!  Yup, generation 5 will so be a reality!

Thanks for reading!

Carissa
