TS2 - Legacy Cove - Week 24 - 1003 Centowski Street

 TS2 - Legacy Cove - Week 24

1003 Centowski Street

We've got a lot going on this fall with our third Centowski residence.  Currently in house, there's 3rd gen Xander and his wife Cassie, along with their daughter Treva returning home from Uni.  They also have an adorable schnoodle named Teeny (who is one of my favorites) and a dalmation named Laurel.  There's a birthday, a wedding, and some major housing renovations.  Let's get moving!

So first things first.  Treva has moved back home, but her twin sized bed in the nursery wasn't going to cut it any longer as her bedroom.  It was finally time to build the second floor of the house.  There's now a loft area and four bedrooms and two baths.  The front bedrooms are basically empty because we don't need them right now.  But here's Treva's new bedroom and bathroom!

Very nice and grown-up.  I thought about keeping her leopard print bedspread but some trends need to be left in high school.  I think her new bedspread compliments the bed and the room nicely.   The house has some nice curb appeal again, too!

I asked my daughter for thoughts on the updates and she said the bedroom was a 10/10.  But we aren't sure about that bay window on the side of the house.  It's right at the top of the stairs and layout-wise there's no issue.  But the roof shingles on the window are brown while the rest of the house has a green roof.

My other displeasure is the neighborhood view.  Can the disappearing wall and window be fixed while leaving the bit of roof there?  I can't remember.

Oh, and I built a little shed in the backyard, mostly for the fun of it.  It houses their Cooking career job rewards.

WHEW.  It's still only Monday morning and I'm already worn out.  But Treva is a busy gal.

We can take care of a few of those things, and put that brand new bedroom to use Miss Treva.

Well, so the whoohoo happened.  Meanwhile downstairs, Cassie made some lunch.  And geez were these two kids hungry!   But ... Xander and Cassie haven't really gotten to know Soupy yet.  I can't let him go down there like that in his underwear!  Treva changed back into her clothes quickly.  Then we made a decision.

It may not have been a GREAT decision since Xander and Cassie aren't friends with him, but it was going to happen sooner or later.  I figure, the relationship will come along more quickly now, right?

Anyway, Soupy Stephens is a family sim, he's a Libra, and his stats are 3 messy - 8 outgoing - 3 lazy - 7 playful - 4 niceness.  We haven't found his hobby yet.  And he wants to be a Captain Hero!  I'm so happy to have a family sim that wants something besides a lot of kids or to raise a zillion puppies or kittens.  He's also a host in the culinary field, so we'll be doing some job hunting for that Law Enforcement career.

They made it through the rest of the day and the first night with no issues.  Whew.  I don't think Xander and Cassie really know what to think.  Cassie's been pretty busy with her garden anyway.  It's a one-woman show out there.  Soupy wants to learn though, he's full of skill wants and learn to make things like cereal.  Easy enough, ask and you shall receive, Soupster.

After his breakfast, he sat down to play chess with Xander and we discovered his one-true hobby!   Three gamers in one house.  I might have to set up more computers for some LAN gaming.

Tuesday evening, Xayden was invited over.  Yvette also stopped by and invited herself in, and Silia did the same.  Which was a bit odd for Silia as she doesn't have any high relationships with the household.

I love Laurel's hopeful face in the background, by the way!

The following day, Xander's twin's family was visiting.  That's Xavier, Lindsay, Uri and his girlfriend Renee.  Treva and Uri were bestest friends growing up and they are still close.  Hard to tell they are cousins and moreso that their dads are twins!

Treva and Soupy have some work to do today also.  It's Wednesday and they aren't even engaged yet.  Guess we're going to have to try a date night.

     Soupy was very accommodating.

I hope you enjoy the picture of the dogs playing as well as Soupy's wants panel.  Treva took a little more nudging but she finally got the right idea.

Now to divert your attention away from the other wants in her panel, check out these cute butterfly garden lights I found on ModTheSims!  There's a whole range of colors!

So, here it is Thursday now.  And there's been neither a job in Law Enforcement OR the Adventurer career track.  What the heck!

Friday came along and Soupy went off to his job as a host.  Normally I ignore the chance cards.  But Soupy doesn't care if he gets fired from this job.  So when the chance card popped up we gave it a whirl.  And got a promotion!

He also brought home a coworker.  Welcome back, Silia.

Um, we're asking you to stay for Cassie's birthday celebration.  You could at least smile for some free food right?  (Last time she was here a few days ago, she was also mean to Laurel and SHOO'D HER AWAY.  You're walking a thin line here, Silly).

Let's just get on with the party!  It's a beautiful fall day and Cassie's a nature girl so I set them up in the backyard.  Cake, pizza, and some burgers from the grill!

(Poor Xavian always looks so awkward)

(mother and son / Deb and Xavian)

(Always a loner, Xander)

(Oh, dear)

I was very pleased that all the guests did exactly as I hoped.  They did the birthday cheer, Cassie aged up, and then everyone helped themselves to the food.  Cassie of course gets that first piece of cake, then when the party calms down we'll get her out of that outfit!

(Renee had a whole conversation with someone
but I have no idea WHO
)

What a great party!  Soupy, for being so outgoing, really doesn't like to mingle with the crowds.  He and Treva are only 2-bolts, but he follows her around like a puppy.  And Xane, he has a fascination with her Uncle Xane.

Anyway, Cassie is all fixed up now!  Her previous hairstyle didn't have a grey, not that I've downloaded anyway.  So I thought about chopping her hair off and letting her have a no-fuss short 'do.  But I'm a little too attached to the braid so I found another one.  It's on the older shoulder but hey, change is a part of life, right?

You know, I have HUNDREDS of hairstyles.  So many recolors.  But every dang time a Sim ages up and we're at the mirror I think, "I need to go find some new hairs."  Between the hair downloads and the clothes, there is no reasonable explanation for how my game actually manages to load up each time I sit down to play.  I half expect my PC to light on fire as it boots up the downloads folder.

I'll probably be doing some hair downloads this weekend though, obviously.  Because... there's never enough options!

I digress.  Saturday arrives.  Another beautiful fall day.  Perfect for a wedding.  I decide on a backyard wedding instead of the chapel.  I get it all set up.  It's beautiful.  I have Treva pick out a wedding gown.  The guests are here.

I send everyone towards the alter.  But there's something missing.

I forgot to have them get engaged first.  So... we have a very imperfect proposal.  Sorry Treva!  Sorry Soupy!  Sorry to get in your way, Xander....

OKAY THEN!  On with the show!  Everything else went fairly smoothly, except for Xane and Deb being late to the ceremony because a pillow fight was more important.  But that's not even as bad as Xavian and Morrdredd birdwatching and missing the first part of the wedding.  SIMS!  UGH!

(Uri and Cassie)

Second row: Xayden & Xander

(Another mother/son picture, this time is Deb & Xayden)

(Two pillow fights and one kicky sack game.... in their formalwear)

(Centowski twins Xavian and Xayden)

(Xavian & Xayden with Uri... in the rain...)

(Love birds Deb & Xane)

The wedding was great, even if the boys didn't want to come in from the rain!  Everyone partied until 2am before heading home, and the household went to bed exhausted!  I'd say, after a back-to-back birthday and wedding weekend!

On Sunday, Soupy FINALLY... FINALLY!!!!  found a job in the Law Enforcement career track.  Seeing as how we do not have any current Sims in this career you'd think there were lots of openings.  What do I know though.  Congrats, Soupy!

Xander though called his job and quit.  He's been wanting to for awhile but I made him milk the rest of his vacation days first.

On Sunday, the household still had the whole family over again for their weekly family dinner.  Xander has had enough though.  He made spaghetti, served it at the table, then took his plate outside.

Honestly, I like the way he thinks.

Fall is over now though for this household!  So I bid you adieu and I'll see you next time over at Yardley Panda's house!

Thank you for reading!

Carissa
